I appreciate Mike's words, he's noticed for a long time where this country has been heading. America has been dependent on other countries to meet our needs , instead of our people stepping up and doing what needs to be done.
Thanks to all the Laborers of our country.

For years at the high school level teachers and administrators told students that if they wanted to do better than their parents they had to go to college. They were told to be “leaders” with no inclination that there HAS TO BE followers. Now you have an entire population regardless of education or even position within their employment trying to be “leaders” when they are being asked by their managers, boss, or owner of company telling them no because my way is better and chalking it up to that idea of “leadership.” In the meantime work doesn’t get done correctly and employers have large turnover from spoiled brats who think they know more than someone who has been on the job for twenty years! The world is upside down and totally broken.

Did he notice it before or after he agreed to be the poster boy for Ford when they were bogged down by SH claims? Or when he went on FOX to sell his parents book while Oriley's victims wondered why he supported a propaganda network so willing to let them be abused?
Mike takes money from bad people and enables the bad behavior. He can F right off on what he thinks working people deserve. I hear blizzard is hiring amid their lawsuits, Mike, right up your ally. Go fetch.

@@gailcarey3597 We are. Mike mentions "going back to normal," which is fueling a lot of peoples' desires to believe anything they're told, because they're tired of the mental oppression they're living under in these covid times. So they take the vax, wear the mask, shut down socially and economically to "make it all go away." Its just easier.
But if the downside of all this is that there never will be a "normal" again, the upside is, its a golden opportunity, if you'll forgive the cliche, to create your own reality, on a daily basis. In blunt terms, if you want to survive, and THRIVE, you're going to have to. No more doing the polite, go-along-with-the-crowd thing even when you know its wrong (I say "you" but certainly include myself in the dynamic). We're going to have to act on what we know in our hearts to be true, even when all around us, that may be the most unpopular choice. Can we stand tall in the face of overwhelming opposition?

@@broadcasttttable Yes. If there was anything I learned from history is to be informed and not go quietly believing it can’t happen here.
As a Christian I know that we will more than likely see what the Jewish people experienced in the early days of the Reich. Many believed they had close friends and neighbors who wouldn’t turn on them. Professionals thought they were viewed as essential in the community.

No he's not. He takes money from Corporate interests that have a huge history of covering up harassment in the workplace.
He is part of the problem. Anyone willing to sell their parents book on a network that pushed a lie that caused an insurrection, and paid off Oriley's victims needs to rethink how good of a man they are.
This was after being the paid cover boy for Ford when they were bogged down with SH Lawsuits.
The dude doesn't care about us, he cares about looking the part of the white knight while sneaking out back with dirty money. We do not need another celeb to tell us what people in poverty need. People in poverty know what they need. Elect them. Mike is NOT one of us, and supporting him actively hurts not only women, but the entire country's working class because his standards for his OWN job choices are way below average in the morals department.
Men need better standards for who they are working for. If your company is paying people out to be quiet about abuse or forcing NDA's to control harassment claims MAYBE don't work for that company...Or perhaps after the insurrection, don't give the network that pushed the big lie your face to profit off of.

Maybe many families will see the possibilities of educating their own children now with all the garbage going on in US public schools now. My son took your philosophies of practical trades to heart and we were able to foster his ability for practical trade work as well as reading philosophy for fun and other hallmarks of a well-educated man.

This will be a big change from colleges turning out kids with worthless degrees and a pile of debt who are paying it down working as baristas at Starbucks. Now our left wing politicians want to forgive the college debt of those who made bad choices. Keep spreading the word Mike!

Despite what people might think if this interview. Mike is spot on. Kids and people are paying full price for college while still staying home to get their education and not getting the learning experience. So that does mean the at home experience to them is just as good as actually being there. Education needs improvement no doubt about that. Just like when 911 happened in new York this covid post life america is going to change our future for everything. It's a shame to not be able to figure it out properly especially in 2021.

    • @JohnThomas-ut3go
      @JohnThomas-ut3go 3 роки тому +1

It doesn't mean the think the experience is the same. It means they believe they still need to cover the same cost as they do if the student are there. Facilities, professors, etc all still have to be paid for. I agree that education is broken and overly expensive. One of the greatest experiences of college is being on ones own, possibly for the first time, and shut downs are affecting this too. However the solution isn't to spread the virus as far and wide and as fast as possible. At some point we will all likely get it. The important thing is supposed to be no overloading the hospitals so they don't have to make the hard choices. Due to rhetoric like this we are now seeing that done in Utah.

The masks are not safe also. I work on a hazardous materials unit and tested a surgical mask and N95 mask with a CO2 detector. The surgical mask held in 24,000ppm CO2 and the N95 help 30,000ppm CO2. It is not healthy for a person be continually breath that air.

If we stopped testing people without symptoms this scamdemic would be over tomorrow. Our son was in his last two years at college locally and then they went to at home only at the same cost. He now is stuck waiting to go back because none of the classes he has left can be online. Is he supposed to sit at home for one more year, two more years, three? I am one step away from paying for him to go to trade school to become an electrician. It is cheaper and I can hire him to come work for me when I retire from medicine. I have my contractor license that I got before I went to college and it is still good. I plan to go back to making and installing kitchen cabinets and doing small remodel jobs because I like the work. Weird, I worked for years to get educated and I prefer to go back and do trade work.

First it isn't scam. I lost at least 5 people that i personally know that were good friends or common work friends. Secondly it's better to test daily than to require a vaccine because you can still carry covid with a vaccine. If you think it isn't real you don't know anyone that died from it that is young and healthy. I have friend right now as we speak in the hospital on an oxygen monitor. He is one step from ventilator. He is in day 3. I talked him 4 days ago and he wasn't even sick. he is against the vaccine. I'm not pro or con on the vaccine. i got the first pfizer and never got the second dose 5 months ago. I have been around people who had it. I don't know if i ever had it. i have been sick a couple of times with breathing issues.

It's not like a lot of us don't already know this. The purpose of using beautiful people to talk it out slowly and act as if we're discovering something here is to talk down the people who have believed the liars in positions of responsibility who have started our country on a death spiral (and perhaps also as a means of disarming the liars by shifting the truth into the spotlight of accepted reason). We're at the point where we have a person like Mike Rowe addressing this from a politically neutral and non-accusatory position because if we can't talk the dummies down then we go down too. We have five generations of teachers in my family, and I sold video conferencing applications, including distance learning, when I worked at CenturyLink. Nothing replaces human interaction and face to face communication. Nothing. In college I often learned as much from my fellow classmates outside of the classroom as I did in the classroom. Get the elementary, middle school and high school students back in the classroom without masks and vaccine mandates. If they are sick, stay home. If they get COVID, quarantine. And get them outside exercising so they build up their immune system. Sunshine and fresh air are nature’s disinfectant.

I graduated high school in 1982 and I really wanted to go to college!! Only problems I had though was, FIRST I had no clue at 18 years old what I wanted to do in my life!! And Secondly, I didn't have any money to go to college!! And just because my parents had more money than most, they were still a hard working blue collar family who worked for everything they owned and had!!
So when I graduated from high school too, I had worked most of my summers off either working for a guy who owned his own construction/ contracting company, OR I would work other days for a guy who owned his own auto body repair shop!! AND while I was in school I had taken Wood Shop, Metal Shop and Print Shop for two years in junior high school, and at the high school level I took electronics, computer science, drafting, AND small engine repair!!! I also took two years of vocational Auto Mechanics as well, and I did well in science classes also though both Junior and Senior High School!! And for hobbies I was a boy scout, I build plastic scale models and I built and flew model rockets!!
Basically I was pretty much over qualified for a lot of jobs out there!! And I even tried to apply at Burger King when I was in high school and the boss told me he could NOT hire me for the same reason!! And when I went to look into colleges, my only option was to work to earn money, because I just couldn't afford college, BUT THEN I took jobs that demanded I work 12 to 14 hour a day shifts, and usually paid me so low I still struggled to scratch a life out for myself!! And around 1984 is when I got my first temporary job......and I was then stuck in low pay jobs that would last a year or two or three, then lay me off until the new crappy job came along, that would hire me for 6 months or five years and again lay me off!! I never actually "got ahead" or was offered a "decent job with a good company" and worthwhile pay!!
NOW I am 57 years old, disabled and literally have nothing to show for any work I have done!!! Every company I have worked for has gone out of business and I am still here wondering what happened to my life!! And I don't have a cent to my name, but I can still do things nobody else around me can do!!
