I got banned for speeding in my golf gti, was paying around £1k a year for insurance. After the ban it’s gone up to 4K a year. Did I pay it? Of course I fucking paid it 🤣
My "mums" first car was a R32 golf. I wrote it off within 24 hours.
Just bought a mk4 2.0 golf gti as my fist car, getting quotes for 5K. Might have to call up my man Hamid for the £500 insurance😂

I could relate to this video so much! I thought it was only me hahaha! I knew of a dodgy friend who told me he could get me insured on ANY car for £70 a month. Got a loan, pulled out a civic Type R and got insured! (I was 18 at the time and had my license for 1 year) Couple months later, police come behind me, doing their checks pull me over and my name wasn't even coming up on insurance database. License got revoked, car impounded, 6 points and £300 fine. I got my license a year later and brought a vxr... insurance quote was around 4.5k and I got the car for 2.9k!! Good old days!
Coming off a ban is what got me into Saxo’s, a vtr was the fastest thing I could afford to insure.
The slope turned out to be bloody steep and very slippery...

@@anthonybelton-ford3124 for dangerous driving. I hit the curb and bent a tie rod. Although they didn’t see anything (it was at night and no one was around), because my car was on top of the path off of a carriageway roundabout that’s what they reported me for.

Got to say My old GTS Turbo Rev 2 was absolutely shit on a bend. Never had a car with so much snap oversteer before or since.

So true. I know a lot of people who did that where they were a named driver on their mums policy. For those that don’t know, it was totally legal to do that then. Not one though I’m sure it still goes on.

Passed my test payed £3000 for a 1.2 fiesta. Got a years no claims bonus. Went out and bought a 16 plate Polo GTI got 2 speeding tickets in that. Added up to 11 points and £800 fine. Took my test again now gotta pay £3000 for insurance. Doh!
