Couldn't help but think of you Kraig, when he was talking about how difficult it is to be in the moment and also film.

Massive respect. You always stood out to me as one of the most straightforward and bullshitless people in the outdoorsy youtube world and you only just confirmed that for me. Keep it up and have fun!
Totally get this. Thru-hiking is kind of like the graduate school of backpacking. You learn a ton about gear and how to carry it most efficiently, about how your body handles physical challenges, and most importantly, understanding the overwhelming importance of the mental game to success. Just like graduate school some will get their PhD and want to stay in academia. Those are the few that want to make it their life. The rest of us will take what we learn and move on to other pursuits and adventures. Kudos for being true to yourself.
I cant't understand this need for the general population to go into crazy levels of specialization: Rock climbers, Hikers, through hikers, Sunday hikers, mountaineers, traditional alpinists, speed alpinists, trail runners, bushcrafters, mountain bikers and the list goes on... If you find beauty in nature and moving, go to nature and move. There is no need to give yourself a specific label.
@@johan.ohgren exactly... I wouldn't say "I'm a classical mountaineer and trail runner and trad climber and etc. etc.". Just "climber" or "hiker" is enough. I barely know anyone who does only one discipline anyway.
Yeah, I was on a 566 mile hike this summer - first time I've done anything like that. I met a couple of hikers on my very last day as it turned out, who embodied the whole idea of being out there without a label: they were excited to be on the trail (they had actually just started on the day I was ending) and in our discussions I realized they were gung ho and encouraging of everyone - day hikers, weekenders, through hikers, anyone out enjoying the outdoors in any capacity. It was refreshing after some people I met (very rare, but they do exist) who think that if you're not doing it their way (and quite literally for some that meant not only going end-to-end, but going in the same direction as them) then you shouldn't be allowed on the trail.
@@johan.ohgren If it is just an activity that's amazing! But if I name my self trail runner for example, this means that I wanna belong now to a group of people who are very fast on the mountain. So, it is quite possible that as I run and feel the need to stop and embrace the landscape, I am not going to do it, because I am competing with some imaginary numbers in my watch. Because these numbers give me the passport to calling my self a trail runner. Because this is what makes me part of a community. Because this is how I acquire self worth. The difference between activity and label is usually subtle.
I love that you are setting boundaries and reasonable expectations for yourself. I'm over 50, and I started watching your channel to work on increasing strength and improving techniques. I was significantly overweight, and I have some muscoskeletal issues with my feet, knees and hips. Over the past 20 months, I've lost a great deal of weight and really improved my hiking skills. What probably seems like a light jaunt for a lot of younger, stronger hikers is something that maxes out my abilities. For example, I went from going about 1 mi and 300 ft at the start of my hiking progress to being able to go >10 mi and >1500 ft. These are pretty small stats compared to your thru hiking ventures. I'm quite proud of what I've done, though. I guess my point is, is that I never anticipate doing a thru hiking project. I've gained a significant amount of knowledge from you and I've greatly increased my strength and endurance as well as technique at an age when many people are scaling back on physical activity. I'm really grateful for the content you make, and owe some of my happiness and success to the work you do here. Thanks!
Never been interested in through hiking. However, what I am interested in, is hiking to the top of a mountain, and take in the view. So, in that way your channel has been an inspiration. All the information you have provided about training and stretching have been great, and although I don’t get to do all the training I’d like, it’s still very useful. I look forward to whatever content you would like to share in the future. All the best from Norway 🇳🇴.
As a thru hiker might say “hike your own hike”. I have always felt your best content was the physical stuff which probably reflects your passions. I’m too old to start mountaineering so won’t be watching that but will continue to check out the physical and mental preparation material. You’re spot on with that.
This is only the second video of yours I have watched. The first was the "What they don't tell you about barefoot shoes." That's not really my interest but I left with a feeling of "I like this guy, I'll subscribe." Then I watched this video. The backpacking/outdoors and especially recently the fitness mobility is a big interest of mine and I now had a feeling of "Wow, I really like this guy. I don't care whatever his content is about, I think I'll enjoy whatever content he is creating." So with that said, you've got another subscriber and I am looking forward to watching your prior and future videos, whatever they are about. You do you.
I deeply appreciate what I've learned from you in the last 2 years, and I love seeing your passions evolve. I'm 66 now, working daily to find ways to maintain a level of flexibility and fitness and mobility... your videos, the time and care you put into them, have been a source of inspiration and motivation. When you start up a team of Old Dudes still doing it, within the limitations age has imposed upon their bodies... THAT's the Team I will beg to join.
I used to get numb feet whenever I would walk 1km, now thanks to your exercises, I can do 26km in 5hrs, which might not be a lot for some, but it's a huge achievement for me. Thanks man, your content changed my life. Currently training to hike and scramble up Mt Olympus in Greece next July.
Kudos! Glad to see you continue evolving and being authentic. I see you as more than only a thru hiker and actually have been surprised in recent months that you’ve been sticking to that ouvre. There’s plenty of other channels out there already doing that, and personally that doesn’t hit the mark for me. I like your focus on the body and conditioning…use it for whatever pursuit you’d like! Also, good idea to work on your skiing, I think it needs it 😀
Respect for your decision. It's easy to fall into a routine of trying to live up to the expectations of others. But it's a different level to trust your guts and move on. Really enjoy your videos and your style. Learnt heaps from elements and your morning routine is a game changer. Will definitely stick around. 👍
Good for you! When something turns from "fun" to "chore", it's time to stop doing it! Your exercise advice (and winning personality) is what sets you apart, and I look forward to many more great videos from you!
The problem with that is that people won't give me a lot of money for just doing things that are fun. Which is really obvious when you think about it for a second.
Totally understand. Started making videos about countryside walks I was doing with my partner and after a few realised we weren't enjoying the hikes nearly as much, instead thinking about the narrative, have we got this shot, how are batteries on the mics, etc etc. I love watching the videos back, but there is definitely quite a high cost involved in turning your relaxation/happy place/spiritual moments into content. Good luck with the new direction man.
What you said about why you loved Thru-hiking is exactly what I love about it. I feel like I am not done yet with thru-hiking and did not push myself as much as I could so I will continue on but I admire you for admitting how you feel and looking forward to the future. Was a real pleasure to have met you in Airoto refugio, thanks again for sharing your nachos with me!
Thank you for the valuable contribution you have made to helping so many of us prepare for our outdoor adventures. Good luck with your own upcoming adventures. I hope you will continue to share your knowledge and wisdom about preparing the body for all the activities that we enjoy. Your desire to be in the moment and not just live for the next thru-hike is one that I share and find admirable.
I wish you the best of luck Chase. You reached the thruhike summit, what's left are experience, knowledge and memories. Now it is time to move to another challenge, another summit. Good luck 🤙
Such a good point about you don’t want to be living for the trail and dreaming of the future or past. I feel that so much that in the mean time I don’t do anything to excite myself between days, I need to find joy again in day hikes and mountain days! Great video speaking truths!
What a hoot seeing all that old footage of you with short hair! That was your look back when I first met you. Seriously though, I love watching your videos, they are engaging, I appreciate the content from a photographers point of view, and I also learn from them. I'm excited to see where you head next... changing tack seems to be a common thread in a few of my adventurous creative friends. It's natural progression, it's how we grow and evolve, it's how we keep our creativity and stoke alive.
Good on ya!! Do what you love and are passionate about. I’ll keep watching. Your videos helped me a lot with IT band recovery. Following your advice made a huge difference and my next multi day hike went well with no problems whatsoever. Thank you very much!!
What an insightful talk, what you are experiencing feels like a natural progress, maybe (quit) is a harsh word you have just turned a page and started a new chapter of your life, your channel's materials is quite valuable and useful to hiking/ mountaineering enthusiast. Wish you all the best with your upcoming plans
I have been watching your channel for about 3 years and will continue to watch. I have appreciated, and learned a lot, watching your journey. Life is a journey. I believe that if we let our life journey stagnate we can then get depressed and then just spiral down physically, emotionally and mentally. You talk about keeping our joints healthy with good mobility so that we can age long and well doing what we want to be able to do in the mountains. I believe that keeping our life journey moving forward, learning and doing new things, is what helps us to age well mentally and emotionally. I am about to turn 61 and am using a lot of your mobility exercises to keep my joints healthy. My husband and I retire in a year and our goal is to thru-hike and bikepack and just keep moving and adventuring outside. Have you heard of the TRX? I have been using the TRX in conjunction with a lot of your mobility exercises. I feel it allows me full body movement with the resistance of my body. Anyway, keep up the great journey! I have shared your channel with a lot of people.
I started hillwalking then mountaineering and now do more section hiking. I don't think I have the time for through hiking. Luckily I learnt the skills for the mountains when I was young and have never wanted or needed a guided tour. Your plans are great. Get people prepped and teach them skills they can use. Best of luck for the future
I started following you because of your knee videos. As a day hiker it's helped me so much. It used to be that my knees would hurt after a 4-5 mile hike, but now I can hike up to 8-10 miles without any knee pain. I look forward to try to start backpacking next year. That said, I'm interested in anything that's related to exploring the outdoors, whether it's skiing, rock climbing, or something else. So whatever content you make, I'll still be here for it
As a yet to be thru-hiker and film-maker, I found this be incredibly helpful and even inspiring. Basically, do what you love to do, create what you love to create and don't worry so much what people are expecting of you.
Just found this vid, never seen any of your other stuff. I thought i'd give my view on thru-hiking. I've gone full circle from thru-hiker to landscape photographer where i was based for years in one area and I've now gone back to thru-hiking - well that's the plan if we get through Covid. I'm 50 years old now, I've been incredibly fortunate to work very infrequently in my life. I got into thru-hiking and loved it, but one day I realised that when you have only so much food to get you from A-B you kind of feel like you cannot stop. If you get to a beautiful location you have to keep moving. In a way it's almost like being on a bus tour where you're only allowed off the bus for 15 minutes at at time and everything is rushed. I certainly felt like that while hiking the PCT and CDT. It's a bit easier in Europe because there's usually more opportunities to buy food. I decided to slow down and so I got into landscape photography. I literally spent three years in one mountain range. I've come to realise that nobody gives a damn about your photography because everyone thinks everyone fakes pictures. I also realised that unless you live in a mansion you're unlikely to want more than a half dozen photographs. For this reason I want to get back into thru-hiking. I plan to hike more European hikes including the Red and Purple trails of the Via Alpina. I'd also like to do the GR11. There's also a few more bicycle tours left in me. I think I'll be a vagabond for life. At the end of the day we're all incredibly lucky to have these options open to us.
Your videos are awesome and informative. I started watching because I love spending time on the trails in various ways as well. Some overlap with what you do and some don't, but I love learning from and talking to anyone else who enjoys the trails and the mountains no matter how that is, because it makes me feel an automatic connection, and we can learn A LOT from people who enjoy the wilderness differently than we do. I also appreciate that this wasn't a stupid click bait title saying you quit, but then nothing is actually changing. Seems like that's pretty popular now. Just an honest update. Looking forward to the future content!
Mad Respect for You MASTER🙌 To say I am done and actually doing something about it proves how MENTALLY & EMOTIONALLY STRONG you truly are. I do LIGHT hiking locally here in BAJA CALIFORNIA MEXICO and stumbled upon your channel when I was looking for hiking exercises. I look forward to learning MORE from your future endeavors as I have from your past. Godspeed Amigo🙏
I appreciate this update! I think you are so good at sharing how to train to prevent injury so I’m glad that is still part of your plan. I think you need to do what is interesting to you!
You do you. Never thought of you as just a thru hiker. You are so much more than that. Thanks for everything you have provided in the past and I will follow any of your future videos.
Wishing you all the best in your next adventure,,, I have learned a lot from your experience and wisdom and will continue to follow your journey. Thanks!
It's really refreshing to hear someone speak so sincerely and speak so uninhibited on the internet. It's a shame you've lost that passion, but I'm so happy it's because you're transitioning and moving forward to better things. I aspire to be as intune and focused as you seem to be right now. You know what you want and you are willing to take the steps to take it. Big hats off, because a lot of us struggle. I hope going forward you find as much (if not more by the sounds) enjoyment from your upcoming projects and I'm really excited to watch you smash it :D
Best to you Chase! You are such an inspiration for me preparing for the solo attempt of my AT Thru hike in 2023. I will be 66 then. You gave me so much insight on gear choices, my physical and mental abilities. Thank you so much for all the videos.
I am 56 now, and still think about a thru-hike, but I don't know if I can do it due to being afraid of people out there who want to hurt others. Scares the stuffing out of me.
good for you...best insight was the difference between capturing vs being present and experiencing...looking forward to more variety of your mountain activities and corresponding training, especially skimo
I have loved watching your videos. I’m 65 and love the mountains. But the downhills are tough on knees. Look forward to watching more videos on strengthening my body. You are truly inspiring!
I'm new here - and I love what I'm hearing!! Long-distance hiking is fun, but it's NOT the only thing out there, a person should be well-rounded. You sound like you know what you want, keep moving in that direction. I enjoy backpacking/hiking so I plan to watch you work-out videos, going downhill really pounds my knees.
"I learned what I needed to and I'm ready to move on" - I always loved your teachings about preparing the body for the hike most, so I'm really excited for you! Can't wait to see what you'll learn (and teach) next 🙂
Good for you!!! I love your videos. I have learned so much fron them!! And you've inspired me to test myself through the medium of hiking long distances. Thank you!! At the same time, it is very brave to keep reinventing yourself when you are already successful at something. Thank you for being a leader and inspiring everyone to take the next challenge and keep growing!!
I appreciate your perspective, have been watching your training videos and am looking forward to more. At 58, I’m not aspiring to be a new mountaineer, but I love the outdoors, skiing, hiking, backpacking, and yes, some sort of through hike is on my list. I wish to get my body into the best shape I can to be able to continue to do the things I love. I’m sure there are many older folks just like me. Think about that as you prep your training videos. We’re a huge audience, not necessary huge vloggers. I understand why you want to move on. Experienced this. Check. Conquered that. Check. Now onto the next. I have done the same throughout my life, for better or worse as I find I haven’t stayed around a job or project, 5 years tops, long enough, basically out of boredom, once I’ve learned what is to be learned from it. I don’t have the nest egg, or stuff or retirement savings from a decades long career, but I have the experiences and the memories and that is my true wealth.
I admire your bravery to change gears. After all we only have one life to live… You have to do what makes you happy and fulfilled. Excited for your future!
Looking forward to the content you're going to release! Doing my first thru hike coming summer (GR11) but completely feel you with regard to other mountain stuff. I am also climbing, skiing and looking forward to some day exploring alpinism. The mountains have so much to offer!
Ditch the film making and photographic aspect and get back to the hiking for the pure pleasure of it and in my experience its far more satisfying. Also, using through hiking as a means to explore other cultures (mountain landscapes or not) adds an even greater satisfaction. Walk across Armenia, Albania, Romania and find another level. Showboating through the Pyrenees and the Alps (something I've done a lot) on well worn trails will quickly lead to boredom.
Hello mate. I finished the GR11 three weeks ago with the weather chasing me to the finish. (Great to see Refugio de Llauset again. Same stew 😆) I'm pushing 50 and had never done more than a few days hike at a time before. I genuinely don't think I could have done it without resources such as, and especially, your channel. Want to thank you very much, and wish you all the best in your coming endeavours. Cheers man!
I was initially disappointed at the video caption as I loved your thru-hiking content, but now just excited to see your other adventures in the mountains. Have fun!
i appreciate what you're doing, and look forward to more relatable content - as a short trip solo day-hiker on low-use forested trails, who tends to pack heavy, your videos have been lovely to watch but not necessarily relatable, with the distinct exception of the strengthening and stretching stuff, which i really appreciate! keep making things you like and enjoy producing!
Good for you, it's good to change things up for ourselves! One of the things we hope to do with our channel is to grow the content and part of our brand is hiking, though not thru hiking for sure.
love your channel it helped me through a knee injury. It was you're and a few other creators that helped me start again at 1/2 my block walking, the injury was so bad that's all I could do. I still can't go more than 5km yet but my determination is good. I'm hoping to get out for snow shoeing this winter. Thank you. Love your content in all it's forms.
Ahh, another honest Aussie. Our path is often windy, smooth, a bit rough, but so worth it. After 7 pilgrimages in Spain and Portugal, 4000klms, many great memories, I am planning 3 more in April, May 2022. Afterall, I'm only 68 y o. Go well.....love
You still gonna chasing mountains! My deep appreciations on putting your heart into it whatever it is. I have been day hiker for since 2001. I conquered many mountains. I became a Northern Eastern 115 er in US. I lost interest as you stated. Wow someone felt what I felt. I broke my femur Jan 2018. I went for a walk 120 miles Tour de Montblanc 2019. I usauly hiked 30 miles as a day hiker. Now I don't have fire in me. I will be 67 in march. Age does not hinder me doing what I want to do. Take us on your journey. Educate us along the way. I admire your growth, evolving. From NYC
I watch your channel because I believe you honestly devote a good part of your life to improve the lives of others. Thank you for the insights I have gotten from you.
Very excited to see your future content which focuses on preparing the body for hikes! This is what made me start following you. Good luck on your future projects. You’ve helped me unbelievably. 😁
Exciting times! All the best Chase. I'm sure your content will be as amazing as it has been, if not more :) Enjoy the process! I've been waiting for skiing videos for the last couple years.. can't wait!
That's 100% your choice for you to make regardless of what anyone thinks. I am also so humbled to be able to watch you being authentic on camera that is what being genuine is all about. Anyone would be lucky to call you a friend. Keep on your path. I'm so looking forward to learning more from you in the future.
I've actually just started hiking, so I will be watching your past videos to help me learn. I've already recovered quickly from a couple of injuries following your advice.
Strangely enough, this is the first video of yours I've seen :) But good for you. You don't have to keep doing the same thing over and over, why would you? While something excites and thrills you, do that. But there will come a time to move on. All the best for your future activities. Now I can explore all your other videos! :)
Awesome! very excited to see the different videos you will make as I used to love hiking and am now getting more into climbing and Mountaineering too! Keep up the great content :)
More power to you on your journey in life, we all have trails in life that intertwine and occasionally meet up momentarily. You've inspired, taught, and challenged yourself and others. I'm glad I found you, but honestly not sad that you'll be doing something else. Keep doing what brings you joy is the key to lifes happiness!!!
Congrats on the evolution. You've shown some wonderful hiking areas, but your physical preparation videos are so much more. Yeah, you described exactly why I fail to do the work required for even passable hiking videos: I want to be present in the experience and the camera with takes a backseat, especially since I constantly produce videos for clients. It's taken need awhile to get comfortable with that thinking. It sounds like you're ready to move on to greater success in other endeavors, those should be fun to watch.
I totally get why you are doing what you are doing. Thanks for creating the content you have done, I've learned a little from some of your videos, and some of your others have given me positive reinforcement there are somethings I have done right. I wish you all the best in your future endeavours and I will still stick around to see where you get to, it sounds very exciting, and very appealing too. I plan to follow a similar path in the sense of branching out, and my primary career goal is to become a guide/instructor. I do get what you say about filming while walking. I stopped making films about trips quite early on, partly because mine were crap but also the filming takes far to much away from the experience of being in the mountains. I totally get it. Good luck for the future and just post something occasionally so we know how you're doing. Take car and all the best to you.
I'm excited about the prospect of doing some reasonably serious thru hiking with my partner but tbh what I want to do most of all is just sit by a campfire in an isolated spot with a beautiful view and drink beer, smoke some weed and even a few cigarettes, and listen to music. I can't imagine life being any better than that. I've done all the fitness stuff and pushed myself to the limit with gym, cycling, windsurfing etc. I know how it feels to be supremely fit and strong, and capable of anything. And don't get me wrong, it's fantastic. But it's like, the supposed challenge that I always felt I was preparing myself for, simply never arose. So now that I'm older I just wanna relax and drink good quality ale lol.
Awesome man! I'm stoked to along for the journey... I love Trail running ATM and you have inspired me to get out in my local NZ mountains and I'm loving it! looking forward to some new and different content.
Ahh dude I'm so stoked for you! I always wondered if recording everything didn't take away from the experience.. can't wait to see what you get up to next. I started to follow you bc I'd like to get into long distance hiking but wasn't sure where to start planning gear etc. I'm happy that the videos you made on those topics will always still he available (they are a bloody gold mine) and have no doubt that what you'll do next be just a captivating to follow! 🤗
And it feels so good just to say it, "I *#!#@ing QUITE!" LOL, Chase I am so happy for you and impressed, so genuine! As long as it is something cool. . . they will follow a guy like you. Personally, there can be too much of a good thing and thru hiking, IMO, is way too much by definition, time, energy, pain, and simply not as special by day 4 anyway. . . .doing it all and in comfortable chunks is the best and allows you to do your best with added strength and inspiration! Bike, hike, climb, ski. . . .and for a guy with your growing skills to shoot video, share some of those experiences with us and keep them for you too! The i phone is all you need and have with you anyway. . . You can think of it as taking away from the moment and sometimes that's the case. Most times it is the inspiration to find special awesome views you would not have otherwise ever seen and with a tiny tripod clamped to your phone it SO EASY. When hiking I never take the clamp off and it also acts as a camera grip making other shots MUCH EASIER and safer for the phone. Last, reliving those special moments doing an edit and after can be so great as well. I also think your huge success has grabbed your attention and rightfully so, just make sure to return to those things that you love in moderation, relationships, nature, health business/work and some super sweet INTENSE ADVENTURE!!! In the mean time, I'll do enough for both of us! LOL I do so wish I could take you on a hike like this ua-cam.com/video/qVhL3jPAyaQ/v-deo.html or more mellow if you'd prefer?. . .
Congratulations on your decision to move onto a new direction. I imagine that the need to keep moving forward with the added pressure of video content can get cumbersome. It needs to be fun and invigorating; and when it’s not, move on. Take care and thanks for all the helpful information.
Really enjoyed your thru hiking videos, but it's so cool to see you being authentic and folowing your passion. Nothing better than this! Good luck, I can't wait to see upcoming videos 👊
Much respect to you, I definitely like your honesty and the fact that you are confident in being your authentic self. I have always enjoyed your training content the most, because your passion for it and your joy in it shine through every time. I'm a senior hiker and climber of small mountains here in New Zealand, and I find your content very useful indeed. All the best as you develop your new chapters in life - I know you will have an absolute blast! Oh, and I totally agree with you regarding how much bs the whole convid thing is... 🤦🏻♀️ 😅🙆🏻♀️
Excellent news! I've never through hiked but always found your content useful. Esp the exercises. It'll be great to see content around the variety of outdoors things you decide to do. Even if your content pivots more and more towards experience of coaching, it's going to be good.
huge respect to those who are ruthless with protecting their time and passions. good on you brother
Couldn't help but think of you Kraig, when he was talking about how difficult it is to be in the moment and also film.

@@edessajayd Sounds like you need to hang out with better people man. There are those types in every hobby not just outdoors ones.

People aren't scaling back on physical activity!
Great honesty, when you’ve got time I would love to see your HPR route, good luck with your future adventures 👍
You do you.
Thank you for giving your time to us too!
U are not quitting. Simply moving into the next phase.of yr life. Good luck and have fun 👍
Don't compare yourself to others. Only compare yourself to who you were yesterday and try to be better tomorrow than you are today.
Happy hiking.
Also, good idea to work on your skiing, I think it needs it 😀
Cheers man. Yeah I agree with the skiing! Here’s to a big winter hopefully
Yeah the world def doesnt need anymore fuckin Darwins 😂
Respect for your decision. It's easy to fall into a routine of trying to live up to the expectations of others. But it's a different level to trust your guts and move on. Really enjoy your videos and your style. Learnt heaps from elements and your morning routine is a game changer. Will definitely stick around. 👍
Good for you, looking forward to the next chapters to come.
Full respect for your decision. Still hope to see the HRR doc one day. Lot’s of succes with your business!!
Oh heeeeey Maylis!! Keep doing the miles, it suits you! Was a pleasure meeting you too and thanks with the help on the Taco video!!
Enjoy your journey 🏃♀️🌅🏃♀️
Awesome pivot! Keep following your heart and sharing what you learn.
A video I didn’t want to see but needed to see 🥲
I started hillwalking then mountaineering and now do more section hiking.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 congratulations on your new adventures.
You've done a great job articulating my fears with making hiking videos. Hope it works for the best!
Wishing you all the best in your next adventure,,, I have learned a lot from your experience and wisdom and will continue to follow your journey. Thanks!
Honest with yourself and others. Cool. I look forward to seeing your new content. Best to keep it fresh for both yourself and the viewers I reckon.
Looking forward to all the climbing and mountaineering stuff. You rock, Chase!
So excited !
Life version of “hike your own hike”, respect. I found your channel to help me prep my body for hiking. Thank you
I just want to thank you for creating inspiring content and wish you all the best
It's not easy to make those decisions, I love your content and I am super excited to see what you'll come up with next!
Niiiice!
Capturing vs experiencing is so rare to hear on YT
Cheers man!
Was pretty stoked about your HRP videos but totally understand! Do what you love and create what things that give you energy!
I was initially disappointed at the video caption as I loved your thru-hiking content, but now just excited to see your other adventures in the mountains. Have fun!
Good for you for following your passions and continuing to branch out and grow even if it doesn't fit with the current direction of your "brand."
i appreciate what you're doing, and look forward to more relatable content - as a short trip solo day-hiker on low-use forested trails, who tends to pack heavy, your videos have been lovely to watch but not necessarily relatable, with the distinct exception of the strengthening and stretching stuff, which i really appreciate!
keep making things you like and enjoy producing!
Afterall, I'm only
From NYC
Thank you. Your balanced perspective is very important to prepare people. 99% of all social media content is clickbait
I'm sure your content will be as amazing as it has been, if not more :)
Enjoy the process! I've been waiting for skiing videos for the last couple years.. can't wait!
Best of luck, Chase. I always enjoy your videos and insight and look forward to learning more from you regarding conditioning.
So glad to hear it! Hit up the back catalog!!
I hope it's a clickbait, this guy literally inspired me to quit job for the Mountains.
probably clickbait. amount of hiking content wont change. just no more thru hikes for him
Hey Thanks always great videos appreciate all that you have shared brother and god bless
You can still live your dream just because someone’s had theirs and moved on!
Good luck in your next endeavors Chase. You inspired me so much and for that I am thankful/grateful! It's your life, make yourself happy & no regrets!
Huge respect man!, keep doing you! X
Thank you!!!
Strangely enough, this is the first video of yours I've seen :) But good for you. You don't have to keep doing the same thing over and over, why would you? While something excites and thrills you, do that. But there will come a time to move on. All the best for your future activities. Now I can explore all your other videos! :)
I admire and respect the life that you have created. Love the videos.
Happy to have found you
Lori 🇨🇦
Amen brother follow your dreams
Loved the post and a pivot to what you will grow more with and enjoy! I signed up for the Tour Mont Blanc and am very excited for it! 👊👊
oh awesome! look forward to meeting you! I'll be in touch before the end of the year with some training info!
Wishing the best for you in all your endeavors!
Thank you so much for your videos that you have made sharing your knowledge. I am very grateful!
Awesome! very excited to see the different videos you will make as I used to love hiking and am now getting more into climbing and Mountaineering too!
I have so much respect for you. Thank you for teaching me and thank you for being true to yourself ❤️
Love your authenticity. Disappointed to not be getting any more hiking vids, but completely respect where you’re at. 🙏🏽
LOL
I do so wish I could take you on a hike like this ua-cam.com/video/qVhL3jPAyaQ/v-deo.html or more mellow if you'd prefer?. . .
Wishing you continued success. So happy for you. I’ve enjoyed your content and I know I will enjoy your new content.
Appreciate your channel and your candor and your desire to move forward.
That's brilliant mate thanks for your time and consideration I'll keep on keeping on
