Most underrated UA-camr! Deserves WAY more subs! Great "on camera" personality and extremely helpful!
gee thanks Masto :) I'm glad you're finding your time here fruity! I mean fruitful.
Absolutely I've been watching guitar videos on UA-cam for over a decade now and Ryan is by FAR the most likeable person I have seen!
5 years ago and still a fact.
im a beginner and really wanted to learn how to play that riff a the beginning, im totally in love with it..
needed about 5 mins.. def. can't play it nearly as good (ofc), thanks for the great lesson!
Hey Ryan. Been learning guitar for the last couple of years, and you've become my main man throughout that process. First song I learned was I Wanna Be Your Dog by Iggy Pop, and I've since noticed how many songs are derived from that chord progression...to the point where I'd have to say it's one of the most influential songs of all time. Marigold's no exception it seems. Might be a fun one to do sometime. Thanks for being the best guitar teacher a middle aged grunge addict could ask for. Keep up the good work my friend.✊
thanks for hanging out chris - and great idea :)
i hope you have a blessed day, thanks for the lesson 🦦
Thank you for doing this one. Nice and simple, but very gratifying to play.
parsley. (precisely). cheers TC :)
this video was posted a while ago but i greatly appreciate all of these tutorials of some of my favorite songs, thank you!
cheers to you VC :)
Awesome Ryan! Love this song. Great tutorial.

Thankyou soo much, you’re doing great and genuinely helping me learn the songs I love
thanks llama!
First...really wanted to say that...
Thanks for an absolutely great tutorial. One of the greats.
I'm glad you enjoyed that FG!
Thanks for also explaining how to sing to things like this as well! It actually makes sense but I never really thought to break it down like that 😅 great video as always, but you know I think that of course 😋
I'm glad that landed Sophie :)
Thanks for doing the singing part. This is one of my favorite songs but I also had difficulty with singing and playing it
I'm glad you enjoyed that Benny :)
Ryan Lendt can you please teach how to sing come as you are? Thats the first song I learned but yet still cant sing it
omggg love this song sooo much!!!! 💕💕 thank you for this tutorial!!!!!!!!
welcome!
Hey Ryan you think you can learn and teach us how to play Hear my Train A Comin’ by Jimi Hendrix on a 6 string acoustic?
of course I could, thank you for the request AU :)
Would anyone have tips on how to slide down with power chords? I’m having trouble with sliding down in the same position without having to reposition and that takes me longer
you're doing the right thing, just do it a thousand times and it'll get more efficient
Great job very helpful wonderful song . I’m gonna play that at my next gig
good luck jake
Great lesson. Simple but brilliant song. Thank you!
glad you liked that Kel :)
The singing break down was also useful for Pedro +1. Thanks man!
Looking up your videos I get more and more that I love. Thank you!
you are a gentleman and a scholar dan :)
the beginning story made me fucking die WHAT
:) i have no recollection but I'm glad you enjoyed it!

haha it turned out to be an albino deer!
2:59 how do you know my name?😳
even if i don't understand english and nothing you're talking about, i can still learn a lot from you, thank you very much!❤👌

Very nice Video (as always)! But still need to work on my Singing and Playing Part :D
good luck to you Sime! that's always the hard part :)
nirvana songs are always so fun to play, because they are so repetitive you can just jam out

I'm just now learning to play guitar, since we're in quarantine. Do you have a video on how to do the percussive strums? I'm not sure what to do and I just don''t play those little strums :S
touch all the strings with your left hand (but don't press) and strum away with your right hand. good luck on your journey JQ - it's nice to have you here :)
@@RyanLendt thank you
why is no one talking about the intro
Great lesson but when i play it with the b and e strings open it kinda overpowers the whole thing what do i do?
don't strum them so hard? press harder on the rest of the strings? thanks Alexcy :)
what's the tuning?

THANK YOU NAN
YOU'RE WELCOME DUDE
Ryan Lendt yes but i am not dude
Super😊👍
Thank you! Cheers!
@@RyanLendt 🥰
Off topic question. When you put your capo there, does is mess with your tuning at all? Mine squeezes E A and baby E ever so slightly.. I have an Ibanez tho, maybe the head is fatter than your Taylor.
As always, great lesson dude!
Nope, not the thalia capo anyhow... i have no experience putting other capos there. everyone i know who has a thalia capo keeps theirs there. You should treat yourself to one they are great :)
@@RyanLendt I do have a thalia!
How do I make my guitar sound like yours, my guitar sounds like a bass with a deep sound idk how to describe. I'm using Dunlop 10 strings
it would appear I'm playing elizabeth the taylor in this video. I use elixirs for the bright snappy "live stone gossard" tone I chase. Strings have a lot to do with acoustic guitar tone, but certainly not as much as the guitar itself - my only advice to you is try many many things out at the guitar store :)
Exactly, I will change my strings set then. Thank you mate, have a great one
@@RyanLendt oh btw, could you please tell me the strings you are using and how old are them?
@@RyanLendt so I searched through and I saw that snappy sounds is reached with light strings. I will put some Dunlop 10-48 and tell you the results. I'm currently using 11-52 Dunlop strings.
holy shit i thought the "doing it 60.000 times" part was a joke
i never joke
I'm just going to assume the police shot the deer and that's the end of that
The Goat Chris, the goat. don't worry, i'll make you some flashcards :P
it’s actually dave grohl 😐
released while he was in nirvana
Do "MV". Great song. Questionable title.
hehe
What was this story ant the beginning? I don't like you dude! I report your aggressive teaching.
what a strange person...
