You can just check the outside containers of Rify as a freshspawn without a NBC suit. If you're lucky, you'll get a M4 and die right outside the toxic gas. All you'll have to do then is get a spawn near there and pick up the M4 you dropped. My first gun after the reset was the M4 bc I did this😂
On one hand you shouldn’t have to resort to those tactics to get high tier loot… on the other, it is ‘breaking the generally accepted rules’ of not using Meta in Dayz. Then again, who hasn’t tried to run back to your body after dying! Off the topic of the thread, but a ‘time out’ system after death ( 1 or 2 hour ‘sin bin’ ) would change the way people played Dayz!!
It's just not worth carrying all the gear around. I've been on modded servers where you can get a small bag that only takes up 4-6 slots, but can hold all the NBC gear. If they introduced such an item on vanilla, then you wouldn't really have to go out of your way to carry all the gear around, and it would still serve as a good reward for being alive long enough to collect the gear.
It's a mixed one. You can hunt for heli crashes and hope you snag a VSD or an Aug. You can hit basically any tier 2+ military and get an AK-74, which is just as good as the loot you get in toxic zones. Also as you said, you can get an M-16 which is an absolute BEAST at close to mid range. To me, personally, you aren't missing much when it comes to the M4 and the AKM. Amazing guns but there's much better alternatives.
My experience has been that the toxic zones are very rewarding. If you are on a server where heli crashes and military bases are crowded with other players, leading to a.) Less loot and b.) Constant firefights, you can enjoy a nice, chill loot run where most people aren't exploring. I RARELY see other players at the toxic zones and I play on a server that is constantly high population and fairly aggressive in terms of KOS. I was able to set aside 3 full kits in my base in the event of getting killed by looting Pavlovo twice - both times there wasn't a soul around for miles and I was able to walk away with: 2 M4s, 1 SVAL, 2 VSD, a VSS and a bunch of po-x grenades and a ton of ammunition (mostly 5.56 and 9x39 AP) it's also a fun experience, but I will agree the NBC gear has limited storage so I was forced to schlep around a field backpack in my hands for extra storage space 😂
Dude, I walked yesterday for what must have been at least 30 minutes, maybe 40 minutes with a stash crate in my hands because I didn't have any inventory space. Let me tell you to walk really slow and it just feels like you're going to die when you're walking up with a crate

We needed all the explosives we could get and I drew the Short straw so I had to carry the chest. Fortunately I had two buddies with me as sort of like an armed guard. We ended up blasting into this base at the clock tower in novaya petrovka, and they had so much loot. We killed 5, and only lost one of our own. Not bad at all.
Iv always felt the livonia toxic zones specifically Radunin have always been really good to me. But i guess iv always viewed it as a kind of quest to gather all the gear and go in. Definitely feel like it should be better though. More ammo and mags and less bizons and colts

never had that problem in my experience on vanilla. always come out with m4s or KAM or sval. always finding bunker tickets too for livonia. I always make it a mission after getting a camp set up to go loot a full NBC suit and go in the toxic zone for high tier loot.
I first played during the mod. Didn’t play for 8yrs or so. Came back recently to official vanilla servers. Just made my first run in a toxic zone and I really didn’t come out with anything I couldn’t get in Tisy, NWAF, or a heli crash. The time invested just to loot the zone isn’t worth the time. I could get a basic kit, camp the zone, and maybe get the gear off someone who just looted it in less time it took for me to collect the NBC gear.
@@hailtothe_rooster1572 dude there's been various changes to the loot economy on dayz now. you can only find the sval and the m4 now in the toxic zones. you can still find LARS and SVDs on heli crashes and NVGS too and also at the new military convoys dotted around the map. you won't find m4s anymore at tisy or NWAF. I play livonia too and you can only find the bunker card at the convoys or the toxic zones and can only find the new plate carriers at the bunker too. chernarus has a new specific camo plate carrier only found on chernarus too, pretty cool. and 1.22 update teaser just been released on twitter too so more goodies to come I hope. enjoy your time back man I've been having a blast with the new humvee too lol things a beast.
If we could have two ‘paths’ to high tier loot, it might change the game… one ‘pre toxic zone’ NWAF and then Tisy, the other ‘toxic zone’ ( with something equivalent on Livonia). As is NWAF is like a ghost town, and Tisy is slim pickings for Tier 3 loot. Toxic zones have changed the game for the worse in my opinion.
Livonian here. I do like the toxic zones ... The thing is: it's not (mainly) because the loot. It's the whole acomplishment plus the "athmosphere" (I like to loot around while seeing everything yellow and listening the character hard-breathing).
You had a great run at Rify imo. Suppressors, NV scopes only spawn at toxic I think. Convoys have made finding good loot too easy and it’s spread out too much.
The biggest thing I like about the dynamic events, is how they've taken the heat off permanent toxic zones. You can actually find loot there now. There are only a couple dynamic locations I will even bother looting, because they're like a 4 alarm fire for PvP pros. Whereas now, I can take my time in a toxic zone without worry of 5 skulkers just waiting outside the gas zone for me to finish the hard part for them.
They need to make it worthwhile again because getting everything ready, doing the prep work to go in and actually making a mission of entering a toxic zone is a lot of fun
I think they should change the static zones every week or so. It will change the way people run Livonia/Chernarus. For example, tisy and myshkino tents can be a static zone one week allowing people to freely loot rify and pavlovo. The next week the two static zones can be kamensk and the unmarked military base south east of severo. So on and so fourth…
To be honest... the only thing I DON'T like about the dynamic events, is how hard it is to keep a base now. A lot of good building spots used to be "off the path"... but now, everywhere is a path.
Hopped on after 3 months away with a friend who’s not been on for 8months. Talk about finding a NBC suit open Cherno’s concession stand near hospital and find a full suit in one. Then find mask and the gloves with a full filter in the second. On a LA official of all things. 😂❤ was a sign dayz wanted me back.
The Toxic Zones should have the super suits on Official, I always avoid the zones and even recently told my friends I see no point of going to them when I can find everything at tents
To play devils advocate, i find nbc stuff like mad. Berezino spawns are perfect because you have the lower hospital and all those buildings around that spawn medical, the fire station with the crates around it which has nbc stuff. If all that fails, the hospital at the upper berezino might get what youre missing. So once you have everything, its just a quick walk to rify and now you have some pretty good loot for not a whole lot of work. The gas zones dont spawn good stuff as often as they used to but you still get a decent take. I think theyre worth it for sure

I feel like a full bulletproof/resistant suit could be added (they do exist irl) and the pieces of it be split. For example Heli crashes spawn helmet Convoys spawn leggings Pavlova spawns top Rify spawns shoes Tisy spawns gloves Giving people a goal that takes an adventure over the entire map doing different challenges.
On the server I help run on Console (ps5) we have put in two bunkers on Chanerus and the toxic zones are where you get the punchcard to access them and the bunkers are where you get explosives to raid
I do toxic runs quite often to get silencers and the good guns but I prepare a stash right next to it with everything what you need to go in! We are running in a big team of 13 active players with big bases so our adventures go over months till the server wipes. So we have a lot of time to work on that! But in a solo one life adventure I wouldn’t loot all the gear to go in I think.
On vanilla servers I'd say going to the toxic zones is more about the adventure than the loot. The only thing really thats worth going to them for is the suppressors. The M4 and AKM are good guns but most gunfights in dayz come down to who shoots who first and where you hit your shots on the other player. If they add some more high tier items that only spawn in the toxic zones then they may be worth going to. IE: adding LMGs, RPGs, or some higher caliber snipers. IMO Bohemia also just needs to overhaul how the Central Economy works. The way the Central Economy works can be so inconsistent and there is not that much fine control over where items can spawn. Clump spawning is also another very annoying thing. If you go into an area and find one item, you are often gonna find a handful more of the same item in close proximity of the same area. TLDR: Toxic zones are currently not really worth it on Vanilla servers. Central Economy system should be worked on and improved.
All they have to do to make the toxic zones better is make tires of zones the lowest tear only needs a gas mask and the highest needs full nbc. Ive been playing since before the zones where added and i have literally never gone in one because its such a hassle tracking down all the pices to go in
Honestly, if you want an almost guaranteed convoy, there are two that almost always spawn at the docks near southwest evac and the nearby rockfall on the road to the east of there. In one convoy alone, I got an AUG AX, SVD and a 60 round mag. It’s stacked all the time.
They need to bump up the tiers inside the gas zones, if your unlucky enough to not find the M4s, AKMs, Asval/VSS your only gonna find UMPs or MP5s, you should also be able to find Tier3/4 loot like the AK101
I've been playing dayz for about 2 years now and I have never been inside of a gas zone I always get my loot from bases and heli crashes its always been a solid system that hasn't failed me at least for the items I'm looking for
It's been ages since I've seen an M4. I still keep finding KAMs in people's bases, but guess M4s are too precious to leave behind. KA101 is now a throwaway gun like M16 since I can pick it up anytime from the bunker. How do I get in? I raid someone's base and steal their punch cards.
Be nice if the NBC suit was the size of a raincoat and came as an all in one. That way you can keep it in a backpack for when you need it without it taking up loads of space.
Another thing I like about the heli crashes, is you're way more likely to get the AUR AX [which you've shown here]... which, in my opinion, is better than the M4. With it's lower recoil and higher accuracy, it's makes effective range a bit broader. An M4 will defeat it up close... but past 50/75m, the advantage of the AUR AX shines.
Evening Marks! I have to say no…. And I’d prefer them to be on Military areas but remove the static one at Pavlovo as I used to love looting that but since they put the zone on it - pointless!
I only suited up once in the toxic zones and it wasn't worth it. It was hard to navigate and ran into a zombie who broke my suit where i ended up dying. I found nothing there worthwhile but i had a difficult time finding where to get the loot. kept ending up in medical tents for some dumb reason. this was on Livonia btw.
4 suppressors only tbh. Half the time I go to Rify I don't find an M4 at all. Even if I make two trips.. so yeah if you're looking for suppressors. I never have good luck finding anything at Pavlovo. A bunch of mediocre loot and mundane military spawns. NVG scopes and suppressors, or if you picked up a drum mag at a heli crash an AKM is nice to find. Other than that they're a disappointment. I agree with you, they should keep explosives to the toxic zones, that way if you want to raid a base, ya have to put in the time to gear up at the toxic zone. That would increase the chance of a gunfight at the toxic zone as well, fighting over explosives.
It would be nice to see them add new military gear, backpacks, waist stuff, belts, etc. only in toxic zones. Nothing crazy, just different types of gear rather than high slot holding items. In vanilla theyre only good for suppressors and gas grenades if you get lucky.
For the effort to get all the gear to go in one they really should swap around the loot. Take the vss and sval out and make those convoy/helicopter loot. Put in the FAL/SVD and aug ax in the toxic zone. Add the larger mags for good measure I’d even take the AKM out and make that a teir 4 spawn
I saw someone mention adding more mags and less colts and bizons which I agree with. But honestly I feel rather than take millitary loot we already have in the game and make it only in toxic zones they should add new things to the game as toxic zone only loot.
if they dont want to buff the loot in gas zones they could change how the suit works, only need mask and respirator while wearing nbc clothes adds to the duration you can stay in the gas zone
standardized and normalized suppressors and M4A1 as well as AKM only in toxic zones. also I never have lots of trouble finding all parts of NBC gear to get inside the toxic zones, especially on chernarus, livonia however is a pain unless you get a punched card from the convoy then you get a full suit inside the bunker.

loot table needs work as its been diluted with lots of new items. lots of strange items spawning in areas that don't make sense and lots of items that have clearly too high of spawn rates in military areas. I'm thinking 40mm grenades and random low tier weapons. I find myself with mid-tier guns/ammo and needing magazines consistently. Also, I think Dayz is too slow in "resetting" loot spawns when multiple people are coming through high traffic areas. I sense that in these areas the loot despawn timers are getting reset by constant player interaction and thus high traffic areas seem to be clogged with dropped items and "swapped" items. I know its a hard balance to strike because you don't want people exploiting the loot reset mechanics but it seems off right now.
I've been several times in these toxic zones and I've got 1 AKM and never the M4... maybe i was incredibly unlucky but guns were never the case in these zones
rify is so good i find stashes in the trees in high pop servers all the time and if u did want nbc gear the medical tents are 5 mins away and u can find nbc gear real quick lil tip enter rify from the light house no zombies and when you leave you just have to watch the tree line and the beach is at your back
Well they add variety to the game, namely you can diversify your gameplay by looting them, but…. Finding and carrying NBC suit is quite a hard task and loot in the zones is not usually rewarding
Depends the server.. I hit serveral community servers toxic zones where the admin swear dead there's no issue with the loot table... For me to trip over 40 Iv starter kits and compasses
Would love to see a white smoke grenade that does burn damage. would be cool if zeds and players smoked when they got hit with it. Or an airstrike that instead of gas had an offset spread out series of landmine explosions so instead of getting gassed you get broken legs and knocked out. Kinda like a cluster bomb.
I like the gas zones. Amazing loot. Not in the zone but in the area around it in stashes. Best place to find stashes lol. Let someone else do the work because all that work ain't worth it
I do agree that most loot in gas zones on vanilla servers is not great. It definitely is a problem that you take all the time to collect your NBC gear, NBC mask and find/ make your filters to be greeted with 5 KOLT M1911s which you could have come by on the grassy fields of Balota. On the other hand the chance of finding a KAM, M4A1, SVAL or VSS is well worth the trip and are fairly easy to come by in there. On a second note, it should be your goal as a survivor in DayZ to become the most lethal survivor on the server. Getting your hands on a suppressor and obtaining night vision devices should definitely be one of your priorities to achieve that status. The signature reduction from a suppressor and the ability to accurately engage long distance targets with ease in total darkness will make you a force to be reckoned with. P.S. Marks, just to poke a little fun, the M4A1 is 10x better than the LAR. And that’s a fact! Better accuracy, more customization, can take a real suppressor, larger magazine capacity and the best part is it is practically a guaranteed find! What does the LAR have other than the fact it is a semi auto .308?

@@sashapittbull6953 I don’t know about that. I can count several times I’ve been hit with an LAR at less than 10 meters and been able to fight through it. Now long range sure LAR will put a player down all day. But you are crazy if you think the LAR is a better close range weapon than the M4.
To be honest the main problem we got on console is people switching servers and looting riffy is to powerful they need to change this its too easy their is no reason to go north for a m4 this is sad because the majority of players on console are on the coast been playing this game since day 1 its too easy to get m4 riffs is to exploited
No, same with the airstrikes, arguably DayZ's worst addition. I am all for the static ones, but the dynamic ones ruin the flow of game and the atmosphere DayZ has. Since 1.14 I've found myself either not going inland or just avoiding most towns if I can't get through them. If there was a better warning system for the airstrikes, or if they happened less oftenand had less areas to target, they could be better. 75% the map doesn't need to be seceptible to an event that can kill you in 30 seconds while only one cure for the disease spawns per server.
I stopped playing after this update (on PS5). I've been checking out what's happened since then and there's not enough to pick the game up again right now. Overall, I think Bohemia are making a lot of money off the back of modders and neglecting the other half of their community. I abandoned PC over a decade ago because I didn't have confidence that developers could create quality software anymore. My opinion hasn't changed.
I feel this was a harsh comment to post but also that it needed saying. Unfortunately, the last time I posted on this channel was to suggest that Bohemia port the Reforger editor to all versions of DayZ. The idea bypassed modding restrictions and would allow everyone to contribute or enjoy a theoretically limitless amount of content, without putting future emphasis on the studio to create new maps (like Far Cry 2 had). It was knocked back by the devs with the usual "too much work" response. If studios cannot equally support the platforms they retail to, they shouldn't release multi-platform software.

Only for the suppressors now to be honest. On official servers you can only find suppressors and Night vision scopes in the toxic zones.
At least guaranteed a few suppressors for every gun and always 4 guns

You can fit everything bar mask, filters and charcoal inside of chest pouches (24 slots)
Yeah, you should be able to roll an entire suit up and pack it in a 4x4 or 4x6 slot; or better rolled up attached to a backpack side.

I haven't been in a toxic zone yet mainly because it such a process to gear up for it. Its faster to just sprint to the nearest military base.

Don't think they should keep the random gas drops or even up the amount of them, but I agree that the Static Toxic Zones just aren't worth it now. Except for the pox grenades, although I have found these elsewhere too.🤔

What do people think to a thermal vision optic being added? As a god tier item that only a couple spawn rarely in gas zones.

I feel like a full bulletproof/resistant suit could be added (they do exist irl) and the pieces of it be split. For example
Heli crashes spawn helmet
Convoys spawn leggings
Pavlova spawns top
Rify spawns shoes
Tisy spawns gloves
Giving people a goal that takes an adventure over the entire map doing different challenges.
On the server I help run on Console (ps5) we have put in two bunkers on Chanerus and the toxic zones are where you get the punchcard to access them and the bunkers are where you get explosives to raid
I do toxic runs quite often to get silencers and the good guns but I prepare a stash right next to it with everything what you need to go in! We are running in a big team of 13 active players with big bases so our adventures go over months till the server wipes. So we have a lot of time to work on that! But in a solo one life adventure I wouldn’t loot all the gear to go in I think.

On vanilla servers I'd say going to the toxic zones is more about the adventure than the loot. The only thing really thats worth going to them for is the suppressors. The M4 and AKM are good guns but most gunfights in dayz come down to who shoots who first and where you hit your shots on the other player. If they add some more high tier items that only spawn in the toxic zones then they may be worth going to. IE: adding LMGs, RPGs, or some higher caliber snipers.
IMO Bohemia also just needs to overhaul how the Central Economy works. The way the Central Economy works can be so inconsistent and there is not that much fine control over where items can spawn. Clump spawning is also another very annoying thing. If you go into an area and find one item, you are often gonna find a handful more of the same item in close proximity of the same area.
TLDR: Toxic zones are currently not really worth it on Vanilla servers. Central Economy system should be worked on and improved.
All they have to do to make the toxic zones better is make tires of zones the lowest tear only needs a gas mask and the highest needs full nbc. Ive been playing since before the zones where added and i have literally never gone in one because its such a hassle tracking down all the pices to go in

Honestly, if you want an almost guaranteed convoy, there are two that almost always spawn at the docks near southwest evac and the nearby rockfall on the road to the east of there. In one convoy alone, I got an AUG AX, SVD and a 60 round mag. It’s stacked all the time.

They need to bump up the tiers inside the gas zones, if your unlucky enough to not find the M4s, AKMs, Asval/VSS your only gonna find UMPs or MP5s, you should also be able to find Tier3/4 loot like the AK101
If you go to tisy or sw evac you’ll more than likely find more than one

I've been playing dayz for about 2 years now and I have never been inside of a gas zone I always get my loot from bases and heli crashes its always been a solid system that hasn't failed me at least for the items I'm looking for
It's been ages since I've seen an M4. I still keep finding KAMs in people's bases, but guess M4s are too precious to leave behind. KA101 is now a throwaway gun like M16 since I can pick it up anytime from the bunker. How do I get in? I raid someone's base and steal their punch cards.
Be nice if the NBC suit was the size of a raincoat and came as an all in one.
That way you can keep it in a backpack for when you need it without it taking up loads of space.
To be fair. You did find a lot of guns in a very short time and probably safer than going anywhere else

Another thing I like about the heli crashes, is you're way more likely to get the AUR AX [which you've shown here]... which, in my opinion, is better than the M4. With it's lower recoil and higher accuracy, it's makes effective range a bit broader. An M4 will defeat it up close... but past 50/75m, the advantage of the AUR AX shines.

Evening Marks! I have to say no…. And I’d prefer them to be on Military areas but remove the static one at Pavlovo as I used to love looting that but since they put the zone on it - pointless!
I only suited up once in the toxic zones and it wasn't worth it. It was hard to navigate and ran into a zombie who broke my suit where i ended up dying. I found nothing there worthwhile but i had a difficult time finding where to get the loot. kept ending up in medical tents for some dumb reason. this was on Livonia btw.
4 suppressors only tbh. Half the time I go to Rify I don't find an M4 at all. Even if I make two trips.. so yeah if you're looking for suppressors. I never have good luck finding anything at Pavlovo. A bunch of mediocre loot and mundane military spawns. NVG scopes and suppressors, or if you picked up a drum mag at a heli crash an AKM is nice to find. Other than that they're a disappointment. I agree with you, they should keep explosives to the toxic zones, that way if you want to raid a base, ya have to put in the time to gear up at the toxic zone. That would increase the chance of a gunfight at the toxic zone as well, fighting over explosives.
It would be nice to see them add new military gear, backpacks, waist stuff, belts, etc. only in toxic zones. Nothing crazy, just different types of gear rather than high slot holding items. In vanilla theyre only good for suppressors and gas grenades if you get lucky.
For the effort to get all the gear to go in one they really should swap around the loot. Take the vss and sval out and make those convoy/helicopter loot. Put in the FAL/SVD and aug ax in the toxic zone. Add the larger mags for good measure

Yes they are worth looting, visited Pavlovo last night and came away with a LAR, Aug Ax, VSD, and all had magazines within the base.
I saw someone mention adding more mags and less colts and bizons which I agree with. But honestly I feel rather than take millitary loot we already have in the game and make it only in toxic zones they should add new things to the game as toxic zone only loot.
if they dont want to buff the loot in gas zones they could change how the suit works, only need mask and respirator while wearing nbc clothes adds to the duration you can stay in the gas zone
I feel Rifty needs slightly more gear. They also need to add military and civilian zeds inside the ship
standardized and normalized suppressors and M4A1 as well as AKM only in toxic zones. also I never have lots of trouble finding all parts of NBC gear to get inside the toxic zones, especially on chernarus, livonia however is a pain unless you get a punched card from the convoy then you get a full suit inside the bunker.

loot table needs work as its been diluted with lots of new items. lots of strange items spawning in areas that don't make sense and lots of items that have clearly too high of spawn rates in military areas. I'm thinking 40mm grenades and random low tier weapons. I find myself with mid-tier guns/ammo and needing magazines consistently. Also, I think Dayz is too slow in "resetting" loot spawns when multiple people are coming through high traffic areas. I sense that in these areas the loot despawn timers are getting reset by constant player interaction and thus high traffic areas seem to be clogged with dropped items and "swapped" items. I know its a hard balance to strike because you don't want people exploiting the loot reset mechanics but it seems off right now.
I've been several times in these toxic zones and I've got 1 AKM and never the M4... maybe i was incredibly unlucky but guns were never the case in these zones
IMO I think it’s worth it if you want the finer things..such as suppressors and gas nades.
rify is so good i find stashes in the trees in high pop servers all the time and if u did want nbc gear the medical tents are 5 mins away and u can find nbc gear real quick lil tip enter rify from the light house no zombies and when you leave you just have to watch the tree line and the beach is at your back
Well they add variety to the game, namely you can diversify your gameplay by looting them, but…. Finding and carrying NBC suit is quite a hard task and loot in the zones is not usually rewarding

They should make all the zones dynamic It just limits the places people can go at the moment. I don't bother with them personally.
Depends the server.. I hit serveral community servers toxic zones where the admin swear dead there's no issue with the loot table... For me to trip over 40 Iv starter kits and compasses
To save space you should attach the night scope to the ak
they should add toxic creates to dynamic and static zones too
Would love to see a white smoke grenade that does burn damage. would be cool if zeds and players smoked when they got hit with it. Or an airstrike that instead of gas had an offset spread out series of landmine explosions so instead of getting gassed you get broken legs and knocked out. Kinda like a cluster bomb.
I like the gas zones. Amazing loot. Not in the zone but in the area around it in stashes. Best place to find stashes lol. Let someone else do the work because all that work ain't worth it
I do agree that most loot in gas zones on vanilla servers is not great. It definitely is a problem that you take all the time to collect your NBC gear, NBC mask and find/ make your filters to be greeted with 5 KOLT M1911s which you could have come by on the grassy fields of Balota. On the other hand the chance of finding a KAM, M4A1, SVAL or VSS is well worth the trip and are fairly easy to come by in there.
On a second note, it should be your goal as a survivor in DayZ to become the most lethal survivor on the server. Getting your hands on a suppressor and obtaining night vision devices should definitely be one of your priorities to achieve that status. The signature reduction from a suppressor and the ability to accurately engage long distance targets with ease in total darkness will make you a force to be reckoned with.
P.S. Marks, just to poke a little fun, the M4A1 is 10x better than the LAR. And that’s a fact! Better accuracy, more customization, can take a real suppressor, larger magazine capacity and the best part is it is practically a guaranteed find! What does the LAR have other than the fact it is a semi auto .308?

@@sashapittbull6953 I don’t know about that. I can count several times I’ve been hit with an LAR at less than 10 meters and been able to fight through it. Now long range sure LAR will put a player down all day. But you are crazy if you think the LAR is a better close range weapon than the M4.

No, same with the airstrikes, arguably DayZ's worst addition. I am all for the static ones, but the dynamic ones ruin the flow of game and the atmosphere DayZ has. Since 1.14 I've found myself either not going inland or just avoiding most towns if I can't get through them. If there was a better warning system for the airstrikes, or if they happened less oftenand had less areas to target, they could be better. 75% the map doesn't need to be seceptible to an event that can kill you in 30 seconds while only one cure for the disease spawns per server.
Military convoys spawns are the way to go.
I stopped playing after this update (on PS5). I've been checking out what's happened since then and there's not enough to pick the game up again right now.
Overall, I think Bohemia are making a lot of money off the back of modders and neglecting the other half of their community.
I abandoned PC over a decade ago because I didn't have confidence that developers could create quality software anymore. My opinion hasn't changed.
I feel this was a harsh comment to post but also that it needed saying.
Unfortunately, the last time I posted on this channel was to suggest that Bohemia port the Reforger editor to all versions of DayZ. The idea bypassed modding restrictions and would allow everyone to contribute or enjoy a theoretically limitless amount of content, without putting future emphasis on the studio to create new maps (like Far Cry 2 had). It was knocked back by the devs with the usual "too much work" response.
If studios cannot equally support the platforms they retail to, they shouldn't release multi-platform software.
