I'd want my money back. I bought a new one 2 years ago and all keys should be silent. I doubt the bad packaging caused the key knocking. It has been well used definitely. Packaging has caused the bigger dent.
I had a similar experience with GC...purchased a Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol open box. Shipped from their Texas location it arrived without a manual or usb cable. Keyboard packed with a few pieces of bubble wrap. Immediately brought to local UPS store and shipped it back. GC have always hired Beavis & Butt-head individuals that just don’t care. I hope you were able to get a full refund?
Please update. What town did this come from! Did they take it back? Did you get a new one? So sorry to see this happen to you... or anyone for that matter!
It has a 5-pin MIDI input, so it can accept another controller with those features. But yes, many people wish it had these, especially the pitchbend and modwheel, which are great for things like Omnisphere and Trilian.
I bought this new recently. It was packaged 10x better than this. Massive styrofoam fittings. It even had a wooden board in there to protect it. You should've ordered new. It's not the most expensive board.
As mentioned. You dont get legs/stand with VPC1. Looks like a well used trade in. Totaly bad packing on such a heavy controller. Foot pedals, definately been tampered with. Those jack plugs dont look right. I never buy used keyboards. No warranty or short warranty. May as well pay new and have the 3 year warranty.
I would have immediately sent this back before even taking it out of the box. That is not the original packaging which is designed to protect during shippment. As a consolation, I bought 3 Kawaii MP8II digital pianos, and all 3 had pretty bad quality control issues, all having to do with poor finishing of the keys. The 3rd one was so bad it actually cut my hands, the edges of the white keys were not finished well and had razor sharp protusions on a lot of the white keys. The first one when playing fast passages or runs sometimes my finger would hit the key in such a way as to pop the key up about half an inch above the others where it would stay till you pushed it back down again lol. I ended up getting the Roland RD-700gx which imho had an inferior action to the Kawaii demo I played in the store which had no issues. When Kawaii introduced this board I took serious notice, but I'm just too spooked to order one. Hope you finally got everything ironed out.
Shouldn't it be the other way around? Check everything first. After you buy. I have never bought a musical instrument online. However beautiful keyboard that of the kawai. Heavy and great. We musicians of the 1960s carried so much weight that it is not scary. Nowadays musicians, especially pianists, are very "delicate". They don't buy heavy keyboards. Poor things !!! Hi ..... great keyboard.
Never buy Used Kawai VPC-1 or MP-11SE. Most of them used by intermediate to advance level Pianist. They mostly abused it. Roland RD-2000 is still ok to get used because the keybed is build to last. The action however is not as good as Kawai.
Andy, how are you arriving at your conclusion? Are you a Kawai salesman or do you have some kind of insider information? I'm serious...A music store has a B-stock VPC-1 for a very good price and you're basically saying most of them have been abused? Please enlighten and educate not only myself but everyone who might seriously be considering purchasing this controller...
@@Eye2iRT Have you ever bought "Used" digital Piano or any 88 weighted keyboard? If so, then we can talk. Anyone can buy anything they want and I am only one of 0.0001% Pianist population who share my experience buying many used of them. I'd like to hear your story my friend.
@@andywilliam367 I actually have and thought you might have some insight but by your response it was just as I thought...you know absolutely nothing and it's just an opinion...not fact!
@@Eye2iRT I don't see you answer my question about having used any keyboard 88 including this vpc-1 🤔. Is it hard to answer based on the fact at your home??? Do you own Kawai vpc-1 used or new? I bet you won't answer my question too. Now I can see that there is no way for us to talk about without exchange some information to start with. You have a good day sir.
I wish I read your comment before I bought the used vpc-1. Terrible key which is uneven. This is crazy while I got it from guitar center. They should mention this keyboard has been abused by previous owner. No wonder they’re about to close. It took me another month to get new vpc-1 from kraftmusic (last one they have) and since then no problems at all.
They just dont" care these big stores I hope you got a full refund plus shipping and gave them what for because I would on fulse info.Sorry to hear this
I am sorry for you that guitar center is jthen I'll never give you anything for your instrumentsIt's actually just a giant pawnshop That keyboard should've been sale sold as damaged for half price or something like that I always go with Sweetwater top-of-the-line music store Hope you get everything working

VPC1 does not include a stand.
You left us all hanging ......... what was the response of customer support? Did you return it, get a partial refund or what happened?
I know it is kind of off topic but do anybody know a good website to watch new tv shows online?
@Jay Andres try flixzone. You can find it on google =)
Might have been damaged in shipping due to poor or misguided shipping / handling.

i just wish it had the ability to add external controller via usb such as: 9 slider drawbars, drumpads, knobs, putch wheel
