- In this video I show you all everything I purchased for my service dog Luca! I will fly out to get him on July 14th and I am so excited!

Some ideas for your emergency kit!
- Tick removal tool, useful for if you for some reason can't get to a vet to remove it
- Tweezers, good for pulling out thorns or splinters
- Pedialyte, or something similar, to help with dehydration
- Thermometer, useful if you think he might be overheating (A rectal thermometer will get the most accurate reading, pack with a lubricant if you get a rectal one)
-An antihistamine, your vet can tell you which ones are safe for your dog, for if he comes into contact with an allergen while you're out and about.
- A medication for nausea and diarrhea, again ask your vet, for if he eats something and gets an upset stomach
- Alcohol swabs/gel, for disinfecting hands and medical tools
- A back up collar and leash with ID tags
- Microfiber Towel, because loading a wet dog into your car sucks lol
Tick removal tool? i live in the country. We pull em off with our hands. As long as you get the head they are fine. Ive never had any problems

I'm a dog groomer, and all the grooming related stuff you showed looks good to me! I would recommend also getting yourself some quick stop. If you ever go too close on his nails and they start to bleed, just put a little of the powder on the end of the nail and he'll be good to go. (Although you may already have some since you have bunnies and cats.) For the zoom grooms, as far as I knew, they were exactly the same, just sold in two different color ways, lol. But, they are good brushes and I like them for lab coats. Just use the brush in small circles instead of going with the grain of the fur like you do with most brushes, they get more fur off that way. Great haul, I recommend adding quick stop for ur emergency kit. It is a powder to help stop bleeding with any nail injury that can happen.
One thing you will need for your emergency kit is a tick remover tool. Even if you do not go camping or hiking you can still pick up ticks anywhere. I always keep one in my kit..😊
The kurgo harness appears to be the seatbelt one, if that’s the case I would definitely recommend having it in a storage or travel container for instances where he can’t be in his crate during travel, but is able to be buckled in.

The drier is also useful to blow off their undercoat when they are malting. Though I’d do that outside the fur gets everywhere!
I would put a thermometer and hydrogen proxside along with iodine or bentonite and some high HIGH value treats because if he is in pain he's not gonna wanna do anything and it may not have an affect but it did with my dog it got her mind of of it

I have a mudbuster for my working dog (In the picture) and I just use water. If you use soap you would also have to do it rinse cycle to get the soap off. It can be pretty messy so I keep it at home and water and the bristles get their feet and tail really clean
That’s so exciting! I have a black lab! Labs are amazing! We live in the country and she gets to run around and swim in ponds and she loves it! Also if you have a local farm store go to the horse/cow isle there is big vet rap and also good medical stuff!

Greenies are great!! My dog would NOT let me brush her teeth, even though the vet said I had to cause her teeth were bad...but after 6 months with a teeny Greenie every night the vet praised me for how well I take care of her teeth,lol. Earthbath is the best!
If you ever need another slow feeder they usually have ones at Walmart (often teal ones) for like 3 dollars! Both of my dogs have them and it really helps my sd eat slower! She’s a lab and is VERY food motivated and a super quick eater
You need boots so your service dog doesn't burn his feet on the pavement in the summer or get salt on them during the winter. I would also recommend a cooling coat for summer :)

I hope all is well, and It's actually a big surprise for me because I've been here with you on this journey, with rabbits as well, and to see you growing around the same time I am is just so wonderful to me! Luca is going to be a great service dog.
I heard using baby socks works for getting dogs used to shoes
Because Luca is being very well trained, I don't know if you'll need this, but my dogs sometimes bark a lot and pull on walks, so we keep a spray bottle with water in it and spray them when they misbehave. It doesn't hurt them but it seems to help.
The lady who owned my dog before me did that and after 5 years my poor dog still runs like hell when I run water or spray my bamboo plant

Honestly it strikes me as pretty OCD to get this prepared this early! Yikes, she got a specialty tool to cut his collar in case he is gonna DIE if she doesn't?? I thought I was a "worst-case- scenerio" person, but--!!
Bag balm would be good for chapped paws. I used it for diaper area on my kids when they were babies on antibiotics for ear infections. I know it sounds odd to use on a baby but it came hghly reccomdended from a relative.
I have a cavalier with lots of grooming supplies with other dog accessories and I use a 3 shelf bathroom storage trolley. Might be a fun option to get something like that to help hold all your supplies.

Oh my dogs have one of those cot beds! They only go on it when there's something soft on it, so we usually have a soft bed on it but we used to put a blanket on it.
If I were you I would get a in case of emergency do not separate patch for his vest because if you are ever taken to the hospital by ambulance from a public place they don't always want to accept SDs in the ambulance and you have no control of where they send him. There are plenty for stories I've heard of service dogs getting stolen in those cases or when the handler is passed out.
Also put duck tape on the bottom of the water mat.
Bag balm is good for dogs with dry feet I use it on my dog she has realy bad dry feet

I got a kong for my dog and it was the black one in large so it was suposed to be the strongest they had but he destroyed it in a week so if he is a chewer don't be surprised if it's destroyed in a week
Does your dog swallow the pieces? Mine does and usually just throws up, but I was worried and stopped giving them to her. But if it won't hurt her I'd like to give them again...

Dog food won't make cats sick. It just isn't nutritionally complete for cats so you can't feed it to them as their main food. As a treat or if they get into it without your knowledge, it's fine.
if you have any of the stuff you want to give away - i would love to get in contact with you - i am getting my service dog prospect just a week before you and she’s a female lab so she will be smaller so those harnesses would fit great - good luck on your journey - i can’t wait to grow together!!

Can anyone tell me how I can get a service dog I’ve tried. I am in a wheelchair and I broke my T12 even getting my little dog that I’ve got because the abuse of people getting emotional support dogs my dog cannot travel with me all the time I need help getting a service dog.
I faint and sometimes feel faint and not completely their. I also live with chronic pain but the doctors can’t exactly figure out what’s wrong

@@kate_omega2657 Yeah...no! A doctor told me my allergies were so bad I belonged in a bubble, like Bubble Boy. I got 9s and 10s on everything they test for...but I have never fainted in my life.
@@lazyhomebody1356 yah I feel like I’m going to faint at times and then sometimes faint. They did a heart monitor and only one bad spike came back( only a 24 he wear time) and MRI shows nothing
