- In this video we will learn what's inside a LRR ( Long Range Radar ) BMW sensor from ACC ( Active Cruise Control ) system, and if it is possible to be disassembled without to much damage , but until the end of the video we will se that this radar is made not to be dismantled or repair !

A common problem is the lens heating. You can code it off but I wonder if it's properly fixable

Hello! Can you explain what is needed for retrofit of ACC 1 to an E60. The car specifically is an end of 2003 model e60 525i. Do you need new ABS pump and brake hoses or it is just lens, mounting, cables, New SZL lever for cars with ACC ? Thanks for the reply in advance!
you will need a lot of parts for acc1 in e60 pre-lci. it uses brake valves rather than the electronic system like on e60 lci /acc2. did you start this retrofit already?

acc 2 was on the e65 but the F01 number part is different. could you tell us differences?

What is the resistance of heated elemenet?
Good question! It is probably a couple of ohms .
Is it possible that you measure if still have this sensor :D @MOvidiu mine had heated element error, did disassemble and put resistor but in winter this resistor burned. I don't want to disassemble it 3rd time

This is radar is the very definition of 'not serviceable part'
I could be a lot worse, it could be filled with epoxy. Here, you could open it with a Dremel (or, better, an ultrasonic knife), fix it and close it with silicone: it would be ugly but it would work

Not sure if videos around but I have done ACC2 retrofit in my e61 and can help if you plan the same.

Funny that you are not the only one who does it)
Just yesterday, I disassembled the ACC radar (FRR-02) from G-series. It's built in a way that you can easily open it without the heat gun and without destroying it. In my case the radar was crashed. The "shield" on the board is damaged a bit and has a small bump that likely causes a problem with sending the signal and its receival. Unfortunately, I don't know how to take the shield away accurately and straighten it, but I guess it might be repairable.

Salut. Am aceeasi problema la un bmw f11 2011,am comandat unul care e identic dar nu are exact același cod difera 3cifre ,iar calculatotul masini probabil nu la acceptat . Pot face ceva sau trebuie cu acelasi cod?

Salut! Din pacate nu stiu ce sa iti raspund , ca nu stiu ce ai facut acolo ce echipament ai daca ai facut corect codarea si asa mai departe , dar daca zici ca, calculatorul masini nu accepta inseamna ca nu prea te pricepi ! Nu e nimic rau in asta , dar sfatul meu e sa apelezi la cineva care stie sa repare /codeze BMW-uri in zona ta. Atentie dupa inlocuire va trebui calibrat , calibrarea se face cu un stand special ! Success!

O internare daca esti amabil sa îmi zici
Dețin un e90 LCI 2009 cu faruri adaptive cele cu cornerlight , pe Auto farul din stânga bate maxim in stânga pana la 50km/h după își revine in poziția inițială sub 50km/h bate in stânga se poate face ceva din tester ? A și când aprind proiectoarele atunci și la viteza mai mare îmi bate spre stânga ,
