These repairs are up there with the most satisfying for me, only because the data on that drive could mean so much to the person who sent it in. Great job 👍😁
My favorite part about any repair is the joy I get from getting it right. I love seeing that same joy in you when you fix a problem. Love your channel bro.
I'm impressed on so many levels. Most stem from the fact that I don't have the agility to do such clean work, so I just don't try. I really appreciate that you do your job like this, AND you record, and then edit them. It is a lot, and I know I appreciate it. Keep up the hard work!
When repairing problems like this usb drive had or any other electrical device there always that feeling when accomplished , kind of like when being a little kid playing baseball and hitting a home run with all bases loaded.. Great video thanks...
The grin - always the grin when something works. "That's awsome". I do not repair anything electronical, but enjoy your videos very much just to se how things work.
I’ve had drives in the past I’m sure I could have fixed and not referred out to someone else if I knew this then. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, it helps us all.
It's like listening to french. No idea what your talking about but I enjoy it. Smart people make me happy. I'd like to see how big boss takes apart graphics cards
With all of these drive repairs and you plugging it into a pc, are you ever concerned that one drive may be infected with a virus or contain a script to damage a computer? Have you taken precautions to help remedy this if it was to happen? Is the computer used to access these drives a sealed and isolated device from others? Have you done anything to make sure if it was to happen that nothing other then a drive wipe flowed with a clean os install is needed?
I remember a usb drive that used that controller chip brand, for some reason the write speed was like 100kb/s. It was so slow, I joked that id be better using floppy disks
A deep appreciation for the great work and learned skills , bro why don't you open a 101 courses ? I'll be the first one to join . Please post the response if you're going to or you're thinking or keep this as they are 🤝🌹

tadaaaa really i love the pleasure you have in what you do, this is a big example to many. love what you do if not search something to do what you love.
I am from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. I find it fun to follow the video and what you post. I apologize for my language. Because my native language is Arabic.
Love the vids. Dumb question but maybe someone can help. What are those solder tweezers for the resistor called? Ill feel stupid if they are called solder tweezers..
Could you do a video on SSD (possible) repair. I flipped its power supply leads (yellow, red), and it blew out (audible pop). (I was trying to upgrade a DVR HDD to SSD; the manufacturer used unconventional wire colors - I know I should have checked better.)
That was a great vid. However, I just don't understand one thing. Considering resistors are made to decrease the voltage before it's fed to a component (so that such component doesn't fry), shouldn't it be normal that one side of the resistor has more voltage than the other side? That's what's troubling my understanding. And if my statement is correct, what EXACTLY gave it away to Alex? Should the voltage be the same on both ends of the resistor?
Hi from france , great job as usually , what temperature is your soldering iron in this kind a case ? i ve learned so much from your work , thanks you so much !
Hey I don't know of you've ever heard of Daniel from Ashville Aggregates amd construction but he got screwed over by some tech people and he lost a bunch of data on a drive and they were gonna charge him 1000 dollars to see if it was recoverable or not. Maybe you can give him a hand with it and get some content out of the deal? He's a really good guy and it seems he gets pushed around alot because he is a person of color and he works hard and people take advantage of him and his money. It would be a great way to help out another person.
I have watched tons of your videos while drinking my morning coffee, I don't know if you have answered this in the past but you always seem to use solder wick, why not use suction to remove the old solder? Thanks for the awesome videos!
I'm not northridgefix, but I can answer. Basically solder pumps/suckers are for mainly for THT work, as they can't suck all the solder, while wick gets rid of all the other surface solder. As he only does smd work, he only needs to use wick. Hope I answered your question well.
@@percytheb4053 Connector frames are trough hole soldered, are they not? And you are right you are not the one I asked the question so it still remains unanswered.
That cup warmer was a super thoughtful gift!
It really was. I remember that vid where A was talking about his tea getting cold. Good to see nice and thoughtful people out in the world.
