This vs salt belt? have a Ronin Senshi but for my uses the molle is ass. Want to run a nut ruck that I can buckle to the belt and the Ronin molle is too far apart to attach a qasm or snap on buckle to it.. Was about to pull the trigger on the salt but then saw this. I swear you, Garand Thumb, and a few others are going to be the reason I don't start a 401k till I'm 45.
@@EODFish Outstanding. Been researching heavily as more and more guys in my unit are using battle belts (light infantry company in the natty gerd) and this would be my first. I think that exposed material is gonna suffer greatly with serious UV exposure over time compared to it being atleast given a thin sleeve (NV/AZ heat and exposure is my example)
Looking at the actual use, most of the belt will never see the light of day and the rest will have so little cumulative exposure I doubt it will be an issue.
Tegris says it's a 100% polypropylene weave, but I agree with Mr Fish in that it's probably Magic, Strenf, and Anti-Gravity Matter. Pretty much a Wonder Material as far as the tactical textiles industry goes--stupidly light, insane abrasion resistance, laser-cuttable via CNC, waterproof, extremely temperature resistant both ways...and to top it all off, you can sew through it without compromising its integrity.
Quick question: if I move my hand fast enough along the edge of the Tigris material, am I gonna get broken fibers stuck in my fingers, similar to fiberglass
@@EODFish I love them aswell and have 4 pistol and a rifle carrier, but before I spent some dough on all the mounts I wanted to see which would work. So far I have not found any images online combining the two. I imagine if they were to work I’d probably have to use the molle clips, but I have been conserved about the amount of play and the fitment.
Does the sizing have some play? I'm right on cusp being pants size 31/32 and their sizing says small is 28-32 but medium is 32-35 which seems big. I'm wondering if there is play because I'd rather get the small size.
@@slick4415 these “favorite” questions are always hard because I have so much on hand due to the channel. Assuming I don’t have some unique requirement for a belt, I’d say yes.
The bison belt stocking issue was Cobra buckles from AustriAlpin. Ferro appears to have resolved that though as they and their dealers restock about every other week now. This however, doesn’t have that. So as long as they have Tegris (and AXL always has Tegris) they should be good. The add on buckles may be perpetually OOS but G hooks are pretty easy to come by.

This video is gold. My belt was too big when I first got it and it was driving me nuts. The sizing adjustment was crucial.
Whats your sizing and what did you get? if you don't mind me asking.
Damn that is Supa hot fire. Also, as far as gear videos go, yours are always informative and enjoyable to watch.
Thanks man, I really appreciate that and am always glad that people don’t mind a lack of flair.
@@EODFish I think a lack of flair is especially refreshing in gear videos considering all of the hypebeasts doing gear videos.
Ok that load-bearing closure is genius tho, that's outta control

Great video wish you could link to other additional gear on this belt. ie, holster assembly, pouches, etc. Thanks

how do you prevent wiggle room with the malice clip on the eclipse belt??
When does this come out and how much is this going to cost me I just tryed to look on there web sight and couldent find it
$100 bucks and I can easly change to q cobra buckle well poop now im going to have an all axl style prodects lol

Both are exceptional belts. The SALT is more user friendly for holsters.
Do you think tek loks will fit secure due to how thin the belt is, also that it is different width on top and bottom?
I have a teklok but use them so rarely I didn’t think to try it. I’ll check.
@@EODFish Thanks!
Do you find that the 1in Velcro on the outer belt is any less effective of securing to the velcro on your inner belt?
Not at all.

Was there a reason you didn't skip a column with the 9022 molle straps? The strap binding is triggering my ocd. Good review.
I didn’t end up with an odd number of columns and wanted it centered. I agree it looks ass but it works well.

@@moss8702 it’s 4oz. I’m pretty sure a cobra buckle alone weights more.
I heard you mention the name Tigris as the material, what is it composed of?
Magic, strenf, and anti-gravity matter.

You are probably more likely to get a paper cut type sensation.
Anyone have any insight into which gcode clips would be needed to mount gcode scorpion mag holders on this belt?
I love soft shell scorpions but the mounts are pure cancer. I’ll never buy another just because of them.

@@EODFish so I’m assuming there isnt a way to make it work. Lol. Bummer
@Jim D don't know if you ever figured it out, but if you're willing to get a little crafty you can modify malice clips and mount them to the scorpions
The Guardian Warrior Solutions adaptors allow the gcode pouches to go direct to molle.
Do you know if it would be weight rated provided I get the cobra or raptor buckle option?
I don’t but I do know that was never the intention.
Cobra buckles are banned by socom actually for load bearing because they’re a failure point, so no.

With a pant size of 31/32, should I go small or medium?
Follow whatever directions they have on the site. You literally can’t get too big of one though as I show towards the end of the video.
Can you swap the G hook buckle for a cobra later?
Yes, I show you how in the video.
Good job

I’ll trade other things for it so I can compare them.

There is but they are also infinitely adjustable to go smaller. I’d probably get the medium though.
