Just came back after watching the performances in round 2. I start to think the judgement from panelists would be quite different to general audiences, especially from different composition based on preferences and generations. It would be less controversial when we have real on-site audiences and can see the reactions differ based on their preferences. However, the current setup of the panelists is a bit too senior and they don't do a lot of analysis as the panalists in King of Masked Singers. This acutally makes onlne viewers doubt their judgement. In my opinion, they should select their panelists more carefully or at least provide several trophies in different aspects to encourage the participation and viewership. Anyway, music is about bias and preference. This is why I keep coming back to enjoy Solar's performance as her stage charm and the musicality are beyond comparision.
For the record, I still think IM2 is a great musical show as most of the performances are excellent and it is one of my favorite shows. (Talk to myself) Just forget about the competition and enjoy these amazing performances.🤩
