What if I want 4 extra thin layers instead of 2 thin layers? I painted a Nightlord with 8 extra extra thin layers. A Guardsman, 16 extra extra extra thin layers. Don’t get me started on Big E, I used 1,000 god-thin layers per day.
If the paint is watered down too much it'll struggle to stick, but you can usually get it on there. It's just so much easier with primer (and it won't come off if damaged, without primer it's much easier to chip away)

No primer? Thats a first time i saw someone paint it like that, I have no idea that GW paint can stick onto model without any base

@shaunlim6670 Well, the Introductory Sets wouldn't be much use if you couldn't actually use what's in the box as-is.
GW used to sell potted primer. Maybe they should do that again
but the art on website is more eavy metal style and has a lot more edge highlights and shading, where video for doing that
