Haven't played Smite since August but I'm pretty sure roots are a form of hard CC. The example that comes to mind is if you're wearing magi's blessing and kumbhakarna strikes you with his 2 it'll burst your Dirty Bubble.
Hi! good video! Here is my recommended build for you to try with ravana
1) started bumba, and maze lvl 1 or boots lvl 2
2) finish damage boots or jotums, or jotums first and boots later ( with this, we already have physical power, cd and penetration)
3) Shifters or void shield (I personally recommend the void shield for the extra penetration as I think it complements the full build better)
4) arondight, for physical power, and cd
5) as the last item the hearseeker, since it gives us a lot of physical power, more penetration, and extra damage with skills, which with ravana is very important
6) finish the starter, obviusly bumbas hammer, now we got the cap cd and his incredible passive
7) Items to consider when the late game arrives: Shifters, ancile, brawler and titans bane.

...unpopular idea, but does anyone feel like Ravana should be a warrior again?
I know Gilgamesh just got here, but, the more I look at current Ravana kit and how it's based more on survivability than outright dmg the more I think he should go back to being a warrior.
I have never seen anyone build him full damage in the past six months
Can anyone explain why Hydras is built on him. His first basic only hits for 0.75 which plus the 40% on top is only 1.05. Seems like a wasted item slot. Unless I’m missing something?
I don't know much about Ravana tbh but using autos in between abilities is always important and 40% more damage is still more damage regardless of if the first auto in his chain is slightly less than 1.0
AA cancelling is really good on any character ,
His aa chain isnt that good ya but he has 4 damaging abilities that can proc hydras
And on rav you need early cdr since you arent a kali or other hypercarries , you need early ganks and fights and abuse your early game , hydras lets you get another 10% cdr , and more importantly huge mp5 , more mana = more farm & more ganks = bigger lead
Hydra’s is kinda bad on Ravana, also usually I do 2 AAs between his abilities cause of his attack chain. Not terrible but just not optimal for him. I’d have probably got Serrated / Heartseeker instead for Incon’s Build cause he doesen’t have much percent pen.
I kinda assumed it was for the Mana since that starter is doo doo for mana sustain.
@@kriegaone3658 he didnt need pen , he was lv 20 while guan yu was way too far behind (he was lv 10~13)

Ravana is my fav God and I think I was instrumental in making him assassin after a long campaign on the forums. His release was very weird, since he was a warrior everyone tried playing him in solo, but since his kit was an assassin that didn't work out to well. Also for some reason everyone had to buy Qins on him and in this meta you didn't buy qins on warriors, ppl really failed grasping his passive, his greatest strength even at release was buffing his prana damage up. You see they changed the passive, at release it gave 7.5% bonus Prana dmg per stack and after his 2nd buff just 2 weeks after release his passive could boost Prana dmg by 80%. 200base+80% scaling = say 300dmg at 125power * 1.8 = 540dmg prana!!!! Yes you could take more then half HP of a backliner with just 1 prana lol. And this is not even considering max numbers because maxed prana and 125 power is mid game, late game with 200+power we are talking about 750dmg pranas. If you added say executioner to a build (and not Qins) you could hit tanks for 25% of their health with just his 1. Good times, if I could go back in time I would sometimes just to punch people in the face with a super OP ravana Prana with 6sec base cd.
