I played this exact Super Cup opening match like 10 times just to get myself familiar with the gameplay, resetting after 2 matches, and every time it's the same: Madrid loses 1-2 at the home leg, scoring first, only to then lose 3-0 or 4-1 in the 2nd leg. The game seems to really favor center forwards that can hold the ball for teammates to get into place, and Marc Guiu has scored 4 goals in 4 matches for me lol
Well, that might be a pretty big coincidence in my opinion. If it's not, I guess that's how Barcelona plays by default in the game...You can try changing the advanced tactics that are available in the game plan, and play the super cup once again to see if there's any other changes to the match result. (I have only changed the attacking style to wide instead of central, you can try changing them to your liking and see if there's any change)
Yeah, it's just interesting that out of 20 matches (2 legs x10 or so), no matter what tactics I use, the first leg match always ends in my 2-1 victory with Madrid always scoring first out of nowhere, while I always win with 3 or 4 goals in the home leg just like your results here. And for some reason Madrid always give Kepa a start in the 2nd leg, again just like what you got here. But overall, I vastly prefer SPFL24 gameplay over vanilla PES2021 where every AI team plays tiki taka to the wings and scores from wild crosses lol.
@@spacejockey9223 Interesting...Thanks for sharing. There's a bug fix update that's coming today, so make sure to update the game. They've also mentioned that we have to start a fresh career mode, so I'll be testing what you said if I have to start a new master league once again.

It's a bug actually...changing the starting year from 2020 might cause some issues in custom transfers and stuff in Master League and BAL. That's why it's been kept that way. "Bugs in BAL or master leagues started with custom transfers in edit mode this is a known issue due to the change of the game starting year, no fix is available for this yet, but it can work if the starting year in the master league is reverted to 2020, see this temporary workaround to bypass this issue: for FL23 change starting year tutorial for FL 24 see sider function" You can read the details in the FAQ section from here: www.pessmokepatch.com/2022/12/FAQ.html?m=1
I'm not so sure, but it might be a personal choice from the devs who developed the mod. I think you can still change the league ball before the match if you want.

I would not recommend moving data from FL 2023 to FL 2024 due to the updation in database. As for the mods, if you are using the mods from smokepatch itself, then you can check out their website and see whether they are compatible with both FL 2023 and FL 2024 or not.
