True story...I was in hospital early last year for a operation on my knee.. 12 hrs after the surgery I watched and listerned to Norm McDonald on my phone high as a kite on oxycodone and laughed so much i burst all the staples and stitches...3 days later I got mrsa and nearly died... norm nearly killed me but I still love him hes my goto comedian
Hah??!
That mrsa fella sounds like a real jerk! Side note: glad your okay
That’s funny.
I’m glad you lived
Nearly died? I didn't even know you were sick.
Dennis' love for Norm is infectious.
yep.

This is where I go, when the madness gets out of hand.
I likely have depression but even if I go to a shrink I won’t talk. Thousands of $ I would spend on a shrink are saved because I listen to norm and norm with Dennis and on night shows. Norm Macdonald and Jordan Peterson have done more for my mental health than any doctor could and it’s all because of free speech.
@@1bryanmv . The wackshow can get to me too. Church, Jesus, is my anchor on what / Who matters. Norm is an old chunk of coal worth more than diamonds
@@jamesflynn4741 I agree. I once was in college on track to become a pastor. I was going to a private Christian school with plans on seminary and left because the student debt I was going to accumulate on that path was not going to work. I’ve done this and that since then, even a stint in the army national guard as an intelligence analyst. I still feel the call of the pulpit; I drown it out distractions because without those distractions it is deafening; when I was I high school my pastor told a story at Bible study (now Bible study was me a 16 year old and a bunch of 55+ every Wednesday); my pastor said he was at the local paper reviewing the ad for the church that was in the directory with all the other churches and synagogues and mosques etc, and the newspaper employee said “checking out the competition, huh?” My pastor told us his response was “my competition? This? These churches and temples? These groups? These people trying to bring people to god, this is not my competition.” He continued “my competition is not anyone that preaches love you’re neighbor, my competition are the B’s. Bed, booze, broads, and ball. My competition is what keeps people away from spiritual growth, wherever they may find it”. That has stuck with me, and even as I say this I realize the b’s have kept me from stepping to the pulpit myself in different ways. Stay with God James Flynn and remember the promise of 3:16.
Amen
For medicinal purposes, thanks to norm for keeping a lot of us out of the bughouse
I can’t imagine how Dennis must be feeling right now. Such a sad loss
Holy shit it’s been 8 months…

I always thought of Norm as something other than human, someone remote from such things as mortality. When I heard the news today, I went through all the stages of grief in an instant. We were lucky to have him, and what a gift it is that he ran his mouth for hundreds of hours that we can listen to over and over again. That old chunk of coal will be a diamond forever.
I swear i was thinking the same thing. I feel like i lost a funny uncle even got emotional over it even though i was never fortunate to meet him or see him in person. He truly was a gift & provided countless hours of joy & laughter. Specially enjoy his Conan appearances. Classic! RIP Norm
