2024 is the year of financial freedom! I always had good credit, 32 but I lived paycheque to paycheque and never tracked my spending. And when i would save up i would blow the money.Currently just paid of 5k in debt 3 k more to go. Messed up and got a car in October after my old one was totalled a year ago. Before than i never had a car payment. I put down half for a new car. But still wish i Continued to look for something cheaper. Some of my debt was funding my new photography side business . so hope to use that income mostly for savings/ paying off remaining car loan this year.
This was great!!!I am 76, 77 this year. I thank God for UA-cam and programs like yours and Dave Ramsey. I only wish I had this information in my younger years. I still want to pay off debt and maximize what I have to be a greater blessing in the Kingdom and to people.
I upgraded from an iPhone 7 to a 14plus this year in January of 2024. The 7 was paid for in cash (2016), this 14plus was paid off in cash as well. We don't need to be getting phones every year. Cry once philosophy addition now, bought a pair of RayBans in 2012 for like 250 bucks I think, its been a while. Still rock them to this day. I take care of them. If not in use, in the case. While I have friends that buy new 10-15 dollar sun glasses every month or two because they dont last. Just doing rough math on the low end, 12 years of purchasing 10 dollar sunglasses per month would of cost 1440 bucks in this time frame 2012-2024. So the long time cost was 1190 dollars. 1190 over 12 years might not seem crazy, but this is just sunglasses. Imagine what else you can save on?

I’ve been saving for dental implants for years and still ain’t close 😢 dental work is so expensive but u can’t put a price on your smile & confidence so while others tell me I’m crazy for spending that much on dental implants I’m staying positive that I’ll get to my dream soon ❤
Is there a way to take out taxes automatically from interest gained in an HYSA or do you have to wait to pay taxes on that interest when you file your federal tax return?
You can, but why not collect interest on your money all year long instead of paying it early. Only pay early to avoid a penalty. Go to the IRS website that ends in .gov for details.

If I were you, I'd keep 5k as an emergency on me and anything extra in HYSA. You never know what can happen in this day and age where the government seizes ppl account. If you have a little cash you can get around.

I go around and unplug everything except my fridge and stove. I saw a difference in my bill.

You don't need oil change every 90 days. You should do it every 5000-7000 miles, and if it's synthetic, you can even go up to 10000.
