If am not mistaken, the damage reduction doesnt stack individually, but it will be 90% and then 90% of the remaining dmg. if u take 100 dmg, 90 reduction first = 10 dmg taken, then 90% reduction of the remaining 10 that u take. i might be wrong
Thats correct. Each type of damage reduction, like armor, ability reduction, adaptation, quick thinking etc work in layers. If you have enough armor for a 50% damage reduction and get 1000 initial damage you end up with 500 taken. Add a possibile 90% from adaptation and you reduce the 500 by 90%, which is 50 damage. Add an ability reduction like Trinity´s link with 90% again, and you reduce 50 damage taken to 5 damage. And Quick thinking which turns energy into a second healthbar when your health runs out works on 240% efficiency. 240% efficiency of 5 damage taken.... yeah well.
And if one would actualy get to 100% damage reduction you would neutralize damage. And if you go beyond 100% damage reduction you would have Koumeis ability, which heals you for the amount you would have taken.
As an overall tip, I´d suggest investing in Equilibrium. Citrine´s first ability by itself increases the drop of orbs. On your companion you can use the mod Synth Deconstruct for another source of orb drops. And since you use Diriga you could think of Archon Stretch since Archon mods apply on abilities of your companions. If you go further you could even use more bond mods, like manifold bond to force desired status effects on enemies while also drasticly increasing the cooldown of the companion abiltiies. Well, in the end, thats just a suggestion^^
I think the damage reduction goes by 2 seperate calculations. Like we have let's say 1000 damage. 90% damage reductie will be 100 damage. Reduce that again by 90% and you have 10 damage. And if it's against health, it will then go through the damage reduction stats of your armor. This is why it's better to go through multiple layers of damage reduction instead of 1 big one.
Damage reduction is multiplicative. If you have 90% DR from armor then have 90% DR from Citrine's 3, then 90% from Adaptation, and take 100 damage unmitigated, the mitigated damage would be 0.1. So stacking 2 instances of 90% DR gives you 99% damage reduction in adition to whatever your armor reduces. This is why frames like Citrine and Trinity can achieve EHP (effective hit points) numbers in the millions.
Hi for the DmgRe thing just stacking a bunch of it doesn't really give you alot it just gets calculated differently so with the 180% you mentioned you would actually have like 95% or something in that range but still pretty good build maybe consider to run Rolling Guard or Catalyzing Shields/Brief Respite if you feel like it👍
I highly, HIGHLY recommend slotting in equilibrium, and dropping energize for arcane Aegis, and slot in blind rage. Thank me later (Citrine doesn’t need energize and you should build high strength high duration, efficiency is the dump stat)
The damage reduction is not additive, buddy. It is multiplicative, see... if your get 90% reduction by seconde ability + 90% from adaptation, you are actually reducing 99%. Why? Simple math: Let us suppose that whe are reducing 100 of damage with adaptation and 2nd ability... 100 - 90% = 10 - 90% = 1. Overall, you reduced 100 damage to 1.

fun fact, 4 citrines with 4 citrine specters have 99.999999% damage reduction
Damage reductions are multiplicative, first its the armor, then the adaptation and last its the skill, so it something like 99.3% damage reduction
you cant go over 100% damage reduction. its 90% then 90% of the remaining which ends at around 99% damage reduction
