jackals, giraffes, leopards, bat eared foxes all in the same place, keeping a wary distance and a suspicious eye on each other... LOL just like my workplace!
So a jackal gives away a bat-eared fox; a photographer tapes the wrong leopard; the leopard hunts the wrong fox instead of the noisy jackal; the video maker writes the wrong caption; The jackal barks at the wrong leopard; It is like life in the city.
The bushy tail of the BAT was as long as the body (viz. last 10 seconds where the leopard cub drags the prey towards a safe dinner table), so a NEW bushy tailed BAT species ???
Always good and intriguing videos from Maasai Sightings...simply a wrong description of a leopard's lunch. Looked to me like mama was happy her little trouble maker took the kill over.
There's something a little pissy about " wild" footage that features loud camera noises & the continuous motor noises of an idling vehicle...( land rover)? Probably paid a lot $$$
The jackals just want the scraps. This bat eared fox was in the wrong place at the wrong time. They don't usually hassle other predators like jackal's do.
@@okparachizitere6156 bat eared fox have speed and can get away from cheetahs, I'm sure, but they can't outrun the fastest land mammal. That's not logical. And like this video shows, any fast animal can get caught if it's surprised, even cheetahs
How do you know it angered the leopard? I see no evidence in the video. As you don't know the difference between a jackal and a BAF, and you didn't suggest that the adult leopard was providing a training opportunity for the adolescent cub, maybe you should give up commenting on these videos.
I looked and looked at information and there is NO WAY to be certain if it was a fox (as some comments are saying) or a jackal that the leopard killed. But maybe a bat eared fox, lol
I understand that the mother leopard hunted a fox cub (and leaves it to her son) And the fox, mother of the cub, accompanies from afar to try to recover her little one

0:27 what a beautiful photo shot. Thank you for sharing.
It actually looks like they caught a bat eared fox. Certainly a Jackal barking at them but I'm not so sure they actually caught a Jackal...
Correct. Bat-eared fox
Jackal trying to scare it and eat
it is a bat eared fox... subscribed and unsubscribed just as fast
The bushy tail of the BAT was as long as the body (viz. last 10 seconds where the leopard cub drags the prey towards a safe dinner table), so a NEW bushy tailed BAT species ???
Yeah definitely a bat-eared fox they caught and a black-backed jackal barking at them.
Notice how the leopard blends in with the tree perfectly in the beginning.
no it doesn't.
the real predator
If it was perfect you would not see it. The camo is very good but not perfect.
I love the natural background sound of birds and animals.
It's a rare enough sighting to see the elusive leopard during an active hunt, but it's _exceptionally_ rare to witness them catching a fox.
JESUS CHRIST will come very soon!
No he won’t!
Even the giraffes in the back were like “who the hell you talkin to bro.”
so basically a jackal barked but the black eared fox is the one who gets caught
it's almost like the jackal gave out the fox's location
BAT eared fox, not black.

Most modern cameras have a Mute button for the shutter click sound. I wish people would use it.
Exactly. Nothings more annoying than the clicking of a camera shutter, well, maybe talking or people's head blocking the view.
Maybe its a DSLR and not a mirrorless
Did the leopard say it disturbs them?
@@tahergohar1913 Doesn't disturb the leopard. Disturbs the viewer.
@@alanfoster6589 ahh... Fair enough
Great video! Usually don't see too many encounters between leopards and jackels.
Or bat eared foxes.

It's Nature's raw moments teaching the lil'one to hunt
So graceful in her walking.
Stay tuned for part II: "Photographer takes pictures of the wrong leopard".

Lol. You suggest they just walk around Africa on foot?
Haha!

How can anyone not be in awe of the wildlife 😅
Damn.. @1:33 let that be a message to all nosey people. Lol!
That's a fox that the leopards hunted not a jackal. The jackal is just barking for his fellow canid cousin.

Yeah, they caught a Bat-eared Fox but there was a jackal in the background.
flew over my head!! didn’t see what the title said!
Well, there is no way on earth that jackal would have outrun a leopard.
That was a bat eared fox and they have even been known to outrun cheetahs
It was injured
Leopard: 36 mph
Black-Backed Jackal: 40 mph

topic wrong . most importing of video is missing (cathng moment) . what is the point doing that?
Now it's time for the classic, i.e. showing jackals and other stray dogs what the world looks like from the height of a tree🤗.
wondering did the mother leopard drop the fox so her offspring could chase it
The mother dropped it and had to catch it again.
Amazing Africa! Thanks God!
Beautiful girraffes in the background
Was that her WAY up and WAY OUT on a branch up that tree? So graceful
Never the less, a great sighting!
Awesome...I love it when a lone hunter takes down one of those snivelling little gang members, in the wild too...😉😂👍
A snow leopard is the most beautiful feline there is, then comes the ordinary.
Beautiful African stuff👍❤
That's what you get going into the wrong good throwing up sets!
Edit: Jaguar walks towards the camera crew like "You want some too?!"

In all the big cats I dislike leopards the most. No class whatsoever.
That's more like meowing rather than barking!
Beautiful leopard 🐆
Did the cub killed the Jackal?
Safari companies should make their clients set their cameras to silent shutter
The Leopard was like, "Keep talking shit and see what happens!"
Jackal or Black Eared Fox?
The clip of the “leopard” in the distance sure looks a lot like a cheetah…
You picked the wrong leopard, fool!
Looks like an aardwolf actually. So it really is a leopard mom taking down the smallest hyena species
Is not a jackal , is a Fox

Leopard decided to go get some jack in the box for lunch
it`s a cheetah !!!! You can`t tell!!!!! LOL
A tree cheetah?
A jackal's supreme sacrifice to save its cubs. 🙏🙏🙏
So it was the subadult that did the second take down? Almost ready to be independent from mum.
Looks more like the mama cat caught the fox then dropped it for her cub to catch.
Nature is violent. Survival 🐯🐆of the finest. 😭.fan
The first time I've seen a jackal get caught.
Not a jackal
Reminded me of tito ortiz.😄
That was kinda gangster even though jackels are only about 25 pounds hell coyotes are bigger and stronger then a jackel lady's 😁

It was those Two Giraffes out there which gave the idea to the two Jackals to bark at the two Leopards...

They do sometimes get caught.
Jackal is on the menu today.
2:07 how beautiful 🌷🌷
Plot twist that black eared fox is the jackal's wife paramour so he paid the leopard to kill it.
Wow cats are smarter then dogs 👍
beautiful animals
I think the person who posted the video knows
Good training lesson for the cubs
jackal: tries to fight and be annoying
leopards: shut up shitty canine
is a Guépard not leopard
Momma, I'd like fox and a side of fries. Maybe a shake to wash it all down? 😹
Leopards? Those are Cheetahs. I live as a hermit and this is why.
Double dollar day in the leopard household.

Small, dark face with wide rounded ears and black legs. Definitely a bat eared fox
See what happens kids when you push a bigger stronger animal you end up with a ass whipping of epic proportions ............
I should get one of those for all the dogs barking in my neighbourhood
Looks to me that what we have here is a female leopard and her nearly full grown offspring. And they didn't catch a jackal.
was jackal making alarm calls or communicating with leopard....poor fox got trapped
I think they were trying to alarm the fox. I saw another video of bamboons trying to warn a gazelle who was eating to close to a jaguars home
Not 'The Day of the Jackal' then ?
Black backed jackal is basically the red fox of africa.
Mom is doing a great job raising her kids.
Reading through the comments is truthful
Fist off that is not a leopard it’s a cheetah.
The predator became the prey....it’s a dog eat dog world, so to speak (or, more literally in this case, a cat (Felidae) eat dog (Caninae) world).
