Rage is such a special book to have, in my dreams I will run across it in the wild some day. As for The Green Mile, I think most people bought those books one at a time as they came out. The slip case came after all six volumes had been published, so it is more rare. Not long after it was replaced by a single volume paperback.
I completely relate to the fantasy of finding Rage, or any valuable book in the wild. It was my dream for years, and I mean that hyperbolically and literally. I have dreams sometimes of finding collector's items in stores. Even though I have a copy now, it would still feel great to find one in the wild. I always get jealous of people finding valuable books in thrift stores for cheap. I almost wish The Green Mile slipcase was more valuable in a monetary sense because you're right, it is more rare. I also have a couple of complete serial novels of the green mile. My personal favorite is the Plume release with the case, which fun fact, was the first complete novel released. I want to get a first edition of the hardcover that Scribner released, and then I think I'll be done collecting The Green Mile.
Tips I've learned over the years: 1) I read my SK books open at just over 90 degrees to protect the spine, even from new condition. 2) I found that when I read books without the dust jacket I left fingerprint stains over time. I never collected for anything but the enjoyment of the stories, but I'm an older fan since 1981 😂
I hope that talking about wouldn’t get me deleted, but I mainly skipped the summary because I already made a video talking about Rage and it seemed redundant to do it again.
awesome collection
Thanks so much ❤. It took awhile to gather what I have, but it’s far from over. It’s nice to have someone else appreciate the collection.

can you not mention what Rage is about because you might get thrown off UA-cam? If not, it seems a bit silly not to give a basic overview.
