Thank you so much for creating this video. Emerson should put this video on their website. It was really helpful. I took the thermostat portion off the wall and walked it to where I had the computer showing the video. I followed your programming instructions and now the heating system is working well.
Wow thanks so glad I found this. My thermostat is a White & Rodgers but looks exactly like the one your are demonstrating with in the video. I don't program mine I just keep it set on the same temp all the time and leave (65) it for the winter. Then in the summer switch it to cool and raise the temp to 78. But I forgot why I would use auto, and since I watched your video I realize that yes I do keep it on auto so the furnace functions on its own. Thanks for this video was really helpful.
Thank you, thank you, thank you Clicked on the video to refresh my memory how to change batteries and wound up learning the correct way to program the thermostat after using it incorrectly for 12 years
I was looking for help to set the thermostat for my conditioner and this video had the best easy way to set it. I am very glad I found this video. I also would like to add that he spoke clearly so that anyone could follow along and understand every word he said. Awesome job on this video! (Y) I highly recommend
You forgot to mention, when you move the right upper corner number UP or DOWN with the arrows that is a temporary hold of 4 hours, after the 4 hold the thermostat will resume the daily programmed schedule
1F95-1291: it doesn’t seem to be responding to the humidistat setting. Measured humidity: 71%. Set point: 60%. “DeHum On” displays while the thermostat is calling for cooling but does not stay on to drop the humidity.
Thank you so much! Very exhaustive and well explained. We were getting discouraged trying to figure out this thermostat and find a user manual. Your video was a godsend.
Great video!! I'm so disappointed because I saw this AFTER mine went blank! The blue light is still on but there are no numbers or letters. However the arrows and button squares are still there. If you could please help me I would really appreciate it. Thank you
Few things I'd love to get your thoughts on: (1) Mine doesn't automatically show the day that it is. e.g., currently mine is showing Saturday, even though it's Sunday. (2) I wish you would have gone into how to use the thermostat without a schedule. I just want to manually adjust the temperature accordingly throughout the day. (3) I have mine set to "cool" and "auto" and the temperature low enough to call for the AC to kick on, but nothing is happening. Am I doing something wrong? Is it because the schedule is set for it not to come on right now, even though I'd like it to?
My Emerson White-Rodgers Thermostat is set on "Cool" and the "Set At" temperature won't budge from 74 degrees -- I can't increase or decrease the temperature. It only lets me turn the system to "Off."
Woke up at 2 in the morning to discover that my Emerson thermostat of 1+ years suddenly says "temperature limit" and doesn't work!! Within the configuration, the temperature limit is set to "off", and the temperature limits are maxed out anyway. Thermostats don't even need to be a giant touchscreen. Buy yourself a different thermostat.
Watched this whole video for him not to tell me how to change from F to C. My bf and I just moved into a new house and we live in Canada! PLEASE tell me you can change to Celsius
Hi. I just took off my old thermostat and installed this model. The problem is that all I had was a green, white, red and yellow lines. In this unit where do I install the wires?
My thermostat won’t let me “set schedule” there is just “set time” to the left and “run schedule” to the right of where “set schedule” should be. Any advice?
I have this thermostat and the heat wont turn on. It says stage 1 next to heat and nothing happens if you raise the temperature. How do i fix this im freezing!
My thermostat doesn't show outside temperature. But after re-reading the manual, there is an "Outside Remote" feature in the upper left-hand corner. That's a nice feature, but it doesn't show up at all on my thermostat.
Jack Dillon I'm going to take a guess since I live in Florida and only one day in a previous very cold year saw the 'low' message, my hunch is the outside temperature is too cold for the heat pump to handle, hence the 'luke warm' air you mentioned. I believe heat pumps are only good to 32°f any lower than that and there is no heat in outside ambient air to continue to work,, at that point the emergency heart should come on if your unit has a coil installed otherwise shut off the thermostat manually until outside temp goes above 32°f
If it's off at the thermostat and still blowing air, it's most likely a wire crossed at the thermostat itself or maybe outside at your unit. Could be other problems but I find more often than not it's a wiring issue. Maybe a naked wire shorted with another wire somewhere.
Hello Greg, can you tell us more about what is going on with your thermostat? Does it turn on? Does your central air respond when you change the requests between cool and heat?
Does this thermostat have the option for the blue back-lit display to remain on at all times, if connected to the "C" wire, like the Honeywell Vision-Pro 8000 (new & old style) have? Thanks for the wonderful review.
These instructions indicate that you will discuss fan settings, but when you get to the fan settings you ignore the most important part of this whole thermostat which is the fan program capability. Sheesh.....
I need some help. My thermostat (I hope that is the only thing wrong) just died. We had 2 new units (indoor and outdoor) replaced almost a month ago and tonight the thermostat was clicking. So I pushed it onto the backplate tighter and it stopped. Well I just went by it a few minutes ago and the display was all screwed up. I took it off and replaced the batteries and still the same thing. Now when I plug it in everything on the display lights up. Cant get it to do anything. Please help

How the hell do you turn it on
So mine says Change Filter even though I already did that. How do I reset that?
THANKS
Thank you. I think I'm set. But I do want my program in Celsius. Can you help
Catherine West Can’t figure it out. Does anyone know?
should the cool light be blinking Aaron
How do you cancel the current program/schedule?
I've been trying to figure that out for months now. Either I'm mental or it's damn near impossible.

I haven't found anywhere, including the owners manual, that discusses how to reset the "change filter' message. Anyone know how?
What happens if you don't have an A/C unit and you put this thermostat in "Cool" mode? Also, what is "Cool-Auto" mode?
muchas gracias para su ayudar

why a thermostat light is always on?like 24-7
How do you make the fan quieter in my room. Why is the fan vibrating and louder only in my room
Can i lock this thermostat so that our guest don’t constantly adjust the temperature to their likings?
You can put a plastic cap, mounted to the wall, that has key access only.

How like setup humidity
I have this thermostat and it says my outside temperature is -40. Actual temperature is closer to 90. Is there some calibration for this?

My display does not show the time or battery status. What gives with that?
I had to replace my old one and the new one was on for a bit then disappeared also. Dont know why.
My thermostat is in heat mode and working but says low on display. I changed the batteries but is still says low. Heat pump blowing Luke warm air?
did you figure out why this happened? i recently have been getting this for my cool feature thanks.

This unit blows. I have mine shut off and the unit constantly blows air.
