Thank you for the tips.
Thank you. I got a lot of great ideas from your video. I want to make a felt needle ok for all my needles and a felt bookmark corner for my journal.
I want to embroider on felt using peel and stick patterns. My question is what can i expect in wetting and removing the pattern after its done. I thought maybe spraying it might be preferable.
I have a very thick woven wool skirt I want to embroider, but I'm finding it incredibly hard to get any kind of pattern tracing. Carbon paper is completely out, the fabric is too thick and bouncy to get a transfer. Chalk can work, but as you say in the video, fine detail is not possible. I've tried pouncing with pricking and daubing chalk, but it just smears. Finally, i tried daubing with acrylic paint, which is the one I had most success on, but feels really scary since it's so permanent on my pretty skirt. Perhaps this kind of paper tear away is my best option in the end!
It's worth a try! It is challenging, but it will be a beautiful project.
