Justin this was a great video on the new 1911 offering from Springfield! Congratulations on hitting 100,000 subscribers my friend! - YB
Thanks! Just trying to follow in your large footsteps!
Two of the best channels on UA-cam!! Keep up the good work men.
@@dlife7427 Thank-you. ❤️🎁 Merry Christmas!
I gotta say, Springfield is having a pretty big year with all the guns they put out this year all the 1911’s and the SA-35
Springfield has been on a roll this year!!
Just wanted to say thank you for the crisp, in focus close up shots. I’ve almost gone blind before trying to watch some of the videos out there. Always a fan.
I like the close ups it adds a nice touch to the review. Something different from the other gun tubers. Another quality review.
Goodmorning from Wisconsin getting my Monday morning fix of gun vids with a sweet 1911. Love seeing all the new handguns the manufacturers are putting out would love to see a commander size in 10mm dont know if that's doable but if they did I'd start squirreling away for one lol. Thanks again for another great review and have a merry Christmas & happy new year.
Another awesome 45 from Springfield Armory warms me heart
Justin your camera could see a stink bug crawlin on mars….the clarity and definition on metals is incredible…I wish I could instantly give you a million subs with 10mil likes cause you sure put the effort out…thanks brother…matt from eastern Ky
Springfield does a great job with 1911’s. Looking forward to them bringing out the variations of the hi power.
It's fantastic
I just picked one up a couple weeks ago. The rear sight is a tactical sight that allows you to rack it with one hand. Meaning; you can rack it with your boot or belt, or a table perhaps. A lot of gunfights result in limb hits. (the vast majority) So, having the ability to rack the weapon (charge it / put the round into battery after reload) gives it a useful feature. This is a very well constructed weapon. 10/10 I love my Sig Tac Ops but I have found that it's possible to love two kids equally.
I stomped on the like button. Looks like a great pistol. 1911 is my favorite handgun format. I just might get one of these to add to my collection.
Best quality yet from still photos, well done Sir
I don't know why the algorithm was so late bringing you to my suggested video list. Awesome video sir!
Nice review. Can confirm small primer 45 Auto was spewed from the mouth of hell. Springfield’s 1911’s have gotten decent. Personal preference would be for front checkering and full night sights.
Excellent review and quality content. Thanks.
Like the new 1911 stand holding the new firearm.!! Your photographer is doing wonders for eye candy. If we bought more 1911’s in .45 maybe the ammo manufacturers would put more cartridges on the shelves for us to buy and also a lower price would get me back at the shooting booth / outdoor range.!!
Thanks much! I will pass your compliment along to the photographer! ;-)
Love the close ups.
I have the range officer and it’s such a great firearm. Incredible shooter.
Been following for so long, love your insight on vids. Please bring back your Bren Ten for some fun memories..
I am a Springfield 1911 junkie also they make a great pistol , my collection consists of a 45 in a loaded model , a 45 TRP in the army coat finish and a TRP Operator in 10 MM with a 1913 rail thanks for the video
I love an Operator.
I Have several TRP's
@@pauldvorsky1969 they get a bad rap for what happened years ago but they still build a quality 1911 most people can afford
That's right. Me too. Mil-spec,champion and TRP,M1a Socom ,XDM 5.25 in 45 and the Saint Victoria AR10 . My very first and oldest 1911 is my champion bought it back in 98 and it still runs
I want one of those but in 38 Super. Great video and nice shooting range.
It looks really beautiful. We have several other Springfield firearms and have been considering a 1911.
You have to pick up a Springfield 1911. I have 3 or 4 in my collection and they are very good for what they cost… worth keeping for a lifetime and made forged frame and slide of steel. 👍. Also
I graduated high school in Marysville Ohio, I was just looking at the name on your post. 🤠👍🇺🇸👮🏻♂️⭐️. B9USA Sr.
@@BERETTA9mmUSA just got into the protection side of firearms. I don’t have one but am close to a decision. Everyone has to own a 1911 in the collection. It’s probably the coolest handgun. Ohio is our home and love it here.
Fishing&hunting Ashtabula County OHIO made in USA
WHAT!!!!!!! how can you have other SA firearms but no 1911/2011?
@@TheRealZJE313I bought a Springfield Armory Garrison in Stainless.
Love the paper testing. Keep it up.
Adding a Wilson Combat adjustable rear with tritium for the Novak cut would make this an excellent carry gun!!!
Glad SA decided to get ride of that full guide rod and went with a traditional GI spring and plug.
I've got that sp model..it's so effortlessly shootable....when I got it, it was hung up and hard to rack the slide..took it to a gunsmith who polished it..internally I guess ...but the most amazing 1911 I now have...
During the covid times when ammo was hard to find if not impossible, I had thousands more small pistol primers than I had large pistol primers, so I was able to keep shooting as much as I basically wanted thanks to small primer 45 brass.
Nice video, nice review. I'm trying to decide on a rail gun, this looks like the one.Just enough without to much fluff at a good price. I have a Springfield Professional purchased in 2000 serial 1xxx,Black T Teflon finish,(excellent) factory Nowlin barrel, everything in the pistol completely hand fit.Every part except springs is serial no. by hand with a Dremel tool to frame serial no. Extremely tightly fit, still need a bushing wrench for disassembly after tens of thousands of rnds. Springfield builds some good pistols. I never did like full length guide rods on 1911's,Mil Spec is fine.👍
My first Gun is a Loaded Lightweight Full size Operator that I bought in 2008.
It shoots as great as it looks.
Wow, that’s a tac driver. The 200 grain Sig’s seem to be the sweet spot.
It's rotten and despicable that the "unpatriotic sheep" at UA-cam would demonitize your channel and infringe on all our rights. That being said, congratulations on reaching 100k and best wishes for the future. I will continue to support you and your future endeavors any way I can.
I always enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much!
During the close up of the gun there is a constant high pitch whistle. Figured you would want to know
1911's are still the best looking handguns out there. Nice video!
That's right. Unless you have ben indoctrinated with that squad up clunky looking block of polymer and Metal
Great review. I am picking mine up today and can't wait to take this baby to the range!
Hope you enjoy it!
Looks like that flashlight also comes in handy for minimizing muzzle flip.
Another good video sir, Only own the ro target 45 Springfield (fine 1911), and two desert eagles 1911’s in 45 (both awesome), got rid of a rem r1 45 (was awesome, many regrets), and a sig stx ( never shot that well with it). On the hunt for a sa-35, or 9mm 1911. Love the rail on the operator but have too many railed handguns already.
I really like this pistol. Thanks for doing the review!
so emissary, ronin, garrison, hi power now operator? wow springfield is killing it this year
Excellent review and great new format.
Thank you for all your wonderful videos. Wishing you and your family a blessed and wonderful happy holidays. Merry Christmas and a happy new year. Enjoy. Cheers. 🍻🥂🍺🙂👊👌👍🙏
Love that it has a short original guide rod. Wish it had a bull barrel. If I didn't already have several 1911's I might consider buying another, the price is very reasonable. But I wouldn't consider giving up any of my other 1911's to get it. Springfield is usually sort of "border line" quality, and comparable to Smith&Wesson, Remington, and Rock Island etc. Just on the cusp of semi-custom...
Shoots much better than 9mm version you tested some months ago.
Upper middle class…I’m strugglin with peoples match cartridge…170gr 10mm hp’s will not chamber in my Dan Wesson…200gr hst’s have a bullet nose design that I think is the reason they work for me the best…
What is the trigger pull poundage?
That is one good looking pistol and priced right!
Another great review.
I appreciate that
So I guess this is an entry level Operator model putting it just below the Loaded Operator and TRP Operator?
That's what i was wondering too they still have the range officer elite operator too
Yup there full rail trp with bull barrel is top tier and man its a tac driver its as much custom u can get off the line
Compared to the Marine Corps Operator what’s the difference?
Congratulations on hitting 100000.
Thank you!
Springfield Armory is a Leader in the Industry
I would like to see you compare that to the 1911 operator TRP 10 mm
What ear protection do you use?
How is this different than the MC Operator or LBO?
Great review. Which is better: emissary or operator?
I’m having a hard time deciding on the trp or operator. Which one do you think I should go with?Whichever gun I choose is going to see the range a lot. I need a justin opinion.
Another Great Video!
Springfield has been “almost” hitting out of the park recently. They continue to use smooth front straps and there is no reason for that any longer with the ability for machine checkering. Also for a gun called an Operator, there is no reason for white dot rear sights. Black out or tritium. Other new guns their doing similar stuff, almost getting it right but for a few small items. I like their stuff and own several TRPs and Ronins, but its always something small that could have made them perfect.
Agreed, my opinion is they did not include it to hit the reduced price point. couple hundred under other Operators that do have front strap checkering.
I was gonna comment on the front strap but you got it…I have the longslide 10mm and the texture on it it’s just right…my specialist though feels better than any pistol I’ve ever handled…fell in love soon as they handed it across the counter at buds…
Funny how people got along for decades without front checkering, You John Wick fanboys are just spoiled.
@@arborist460 which would you rather have? Operator or a DW Specialist? Is the Specialist worth saving for? Its another 1k and I'm tempted to just buy the operator. Both in 10mm.
Nice 1911 !
Hello Mr. Justin, what earplugs were you use in this video or what earplugs do you recommend? Thank you sir.
I sent this video to a friend who shot my Colt 1911 and loved it. He wants to get one of his own now. Are these pistols generally available now?
I like .45 Cal 1911's, but I love high cap 9mm 2011 pistols even more.
Where is it made?
Great video😃
I was just on there website looking at that pistol
No optic cut ?
Good stuff
But does this thing feed Hollow Points without being picky?
So this is a 1911? Made by Springfield? Remarkable. Who would have foreseen that.
Does this.have a cut for a RDO ?
How much the price of this Springfield armory 1911 .45 acp
Very nice!
Thanks!
Great video. Would love your thoughts on a Staccato C2 or P.
They're one of those companies that don't respond to communications. Had an assignment to review one at one point, but they don't need any press, apparently. I've moved on. :)
I've been thinking of picking up the Garrison but my LGS keeps trying too tell me the Turkey made 1911s are better quality. That Springfields frames are made in Brazil?
...and you keep going to that store, why?? I'm not a big fan of some nose-picker behind the counter telling customers what they need or want. If you ask them a specific question and they answer it - great. Otherwise, it is their job to help you obtain what you want. Period. If someone at a store (any kind of store) is trying to tell you what to buy - there is something in it for them, not for you.
Looks okay but no front strap checkering is a no buy for me. It just feels too good to not have it.
They should bring out an Officers model slide on a full length grip
Champion operator
Best 1911 ever
You telling me a 1911 that comes with 2 mags. Finally
Hi Justin I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year greetings from Sweden 🎅🎄🇨🇽🇺🇲🦮🎗️🇸🇪
Same to you! Hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas!
Nice gun!
I have the range officer l wanted something that would chamber semi wad cutters and it did it no problem
Talon 1911 front tape is an easy fix.
🔥🔥🔥
Oh wow amazing, another 1911.
Betting it will run a bit less than that. I got my TRP Operator for around $1100. Frankly, with models like the Garrison, I'm not sure why they bother with the standard Operator anymore.
Probably just filling in gaps. If you look at MSRP, it'll probably show that. What dealers charge is totally different. Either way, if I'd spend $1000+ on a 1911, a TRP is definitely the way to go. Where did you get your TRP for that price? My last springfield was a long beach operator and I paid the same price. TRP prices were around $1400 with a wait time of 2+ months.
@@duweydang Gunbroker, spring of 2020. Got the gray model; excellent gun! I think it was around $1200 after shipping and my transfer fee.
@@f-grade man, that's a score! I'll have to hold out next time.
Garrison has no rail
But the TRP, Loaded, Emissary, and RO all do.
Hey I can't believe it UA-cam played 2 Commercials before the video... WTH... I really dig how that pistol looks.
Like you but I’m sticking with S/W M2/0 45 but nice 1911
Cool 😎
It’s not your fault Springfield sent you an Operator. This is a yawn. Springfield has currently four other bushing barrel .45 ACP Operator models with different trim and paint, all under the Loaded line. There are 2 cone barrel .45 ACP Operator models under the TRP line. The most recently released model has the lowest MSRP of $1099, which makes it the most logical to purchase, as you’ll spend less for stuff you’ll probably throw away. I’m sure they didn’t even have to disrupt the Operator assembly line except for a different roll mark. At least this model comes with VZ grips just as my TRP did. Great gun, but this model is just more of the same. Best Regards
The original Operator was a contract for the FBI, super tight, about 4000.00 dollars, only prayed or saw one of them. Every thousand rounds or so, three ore more of those damn small primer 45s jams my press, hate the,!
I hate a darn small primer 45 acp, toss the brass or give it to somebody you don't like
Lost interest at the mention of friggin cerakote.. out of all the bomb proof black finishes they use the one cheap ass finish that gets dinged up by ejecting brass alone... and don't tell me that's if its applied wrong, I've had man cerakote guns all from state of the art finishing factories and EVERY ONE dings up from ejecting BRASS let alone aluminum or steel cased ammo.
That's a steep msrp..
I just can't get behind everyone reviewing Springfield Armory's products. Everybody says to support 2A and we're losing the battle. But when a company kicks us like they did, why are we helping them out? Just my $.02
❤️❤️❤️
I wish they made an AR9 pistol that takes Glock mags instead of this firearm.
Whoever decided to start making .45 acp brass with small primer pockets should be horsewhipped.
This is the only 1911 I would consider buying.that being said Im disappointed.for a new gun it should have amby slide release and 10round wilson combat magazins.for todays standards this isnt a innovation its a necessity
👍
Remington UMC or commonly known as “upper middle class” ammo! 😂😂😂
