Excellent video mate! Good close up on how to tie the rig! 👍🏻👌🎣
Thank you!much appreciated
Excellent, am trying that!
As always excellent vid mate. 👍
I gave this rig a go and it worked fine for the first fish but on connecting to the second I felt what I thought was a hook pull but as I retrieved the rig I saw that the doubled over stiff section had snapped on the section where the bait screw was positioned. I like the look of the rig but there is just way too much chance of abrasion with the slipping section for it to be reusable in the same way a multi-rig is so instead I will be opting for a normal chod section in future, it's got the same mechanics but is less prone to failure
+TjDolHaus86 how strange. I've never heard of that happening at all. What stiff filament did you use?
15lb Ultima Kama Sutra, been using it for years and have a lot of faith in its strength and abrasion resistance. There were signs of localised abrasion around where the line was touching the eye and where it had been pulling against the bait screw, my guess is that the pop-up had been moving around while playing the first fish and grating the line away on the pressure point. I checked the rig over after the first fish and aside from needing a waft over the kettle and a bit of a polish on the hookpoint it seemed fine, no obvious signs of rubbing or pinching. Might be worth checking the undersides of yours with your finger in future just to be certain, would hate to see you drop a biggun
nice video mate!
+Carp Zone thanks matey
Adam penning says he also uses wafters and bottom baits with this rig. Have you tried these or just pop ups? Thanks
Most videos you see on the albright knot show you going back down the knot 3 or 4 times, do you not feel it's necessary?
No doubt it does the job, but just over complicated no need for the all bright knot, simple shot on strip back braid will do the job just as good an in double the time.
Lee Andrews. My thoughts exactly! It's all bull shit marketing to sell more components
Italianraver1979 I think he's just tryin to be clever mate a fish is a fish at the end of the day.
Lee Andrews lol great minds think alike 👍
+Italianraver1979 haha. What are you on about??? I don't sell these components! Why would I care if more are sold. It's ment to be a helpful video for anyone that wants to try it. Negativity isn't welcome here matey. Go and play keyboard warrior on someone else's page.
+Lee Andrews hmmmm
