It was really cool to search for a solution to this and to find your video at the top of the list. I knew something seemed weird when my Flywoo Goku 625 (which maxes out at 450mw) had better range than this speedybee tx800, gonna be rewatching this later when I have the chance to give it a try. Just commenting cuz your statement about a random person helping someone out online really resonated with me. Thanks for taking the time to make this video!
Thanks man in this hobby it's so hard. Sometimes all these stupid little issues come up. So every time that I have one I try to help other people spare a bit of time because I appreciate it when that happens for me and I'm sure you do too. Welcome to the channel
@@TorontoFPV I still seem to be getting really poor connection. I have a solid orange light, but any further than like a few hundred meters away and the signal gets reaaallllly weak... :( I think I'm just gonna have to swap this thing out. Only last thing I have to check is my antenna setup. I'm using it on the speedybee bee35, I have the frame with the metal heatsink for the VTX and I wonder if maybe the metal is messing with the video signal somehow.
@@Carguyforlife I run my naked. I took a long time to figure out how to get it to work. I don't even remember anymore, but this video basically explains it all. I wouldn't buy any more of them. I'm already switching to the rush 1.6. it's just tried tested and solid, especially when it comes to analog. It's cheap enough that it's worth buying the best.
The reason why it didn't initially work for you is because you pasted the diff after that, which reverted your vtx table to the default without the incorrect 888 value (that you were trying to set).
so basically, i need to put the vtx in 800w AND THEN in betaflight select 888w from drop down "power level" and save and disconnect the drone am i right ? if I'm using between 25mw and 800mw, then the same problem with those level happen?
Whatever the video says watch it and do it, that was a long time ago and I don't remember I just usually make these types of videos right after figuring out myself. hope that helps. @@lifebehindtheselens it's locked in 25mw you'll have to figure out how to unlock it but that is the problem for sure. continue to try diff vtx tables and switch from tramp to smart audio but other than doing those things a few times figure out how to unlock it!
why don't you just map your VTX power to a switch or dial in your transmitter. its good to boot up at 25 so it doesn't get hot while you're waiting fir GPS or bench testing.

Anyone confirm this can be done with inav? I know you can set vtx power with logic conditions but not sure how to get it setup similar to betaflight
Sorry no idea. Never tried inav
inav works. only on betaflight IS PROBLEM
@@raffyturc most pilots are on Betaflight I'm glad it works for you though!
I'm having a problems with the tx1600 ultra
