I like how you don't blame the gun. My retinas detached and I haven't fired a round in years. I have an SA Range Officer that shoots one ragged hole at 15 yards.
Thank you for doing the review. Also, thank you for truth telling about the nomenclature. That said though? People will always, always refer to this configuration as a "Commander" no matter what any manufacturer names it per Colt's trademark on it. You know it and I know it. We'll both be feeding worms and people will still be calling all 4-1/4" 1911's "Commander's."
Ya, it's all trademarks and such. You can't blame companies for protecting their trademarks and IP's. But yes, we call all these Commander Size, no matter who makes them.
We call them commander sized so people buy the correct parts. Nobody but colt and their snobs care that they called their pistol commander, especially since everyone else makes 4.25" pistols that are better.
Go ahead an fine me ANY Gun company that OFFICIALLY names their 4.25" 1911 Commander, Other than Colt, without Paying Colt to use the name that is!! Taurus and Ruger use Commander "STYLE" but they can NOT name the Pistol Commander
Instant thumbs up! My favorite topic, - 1911, Springfield Armory, Lok grips and Federal ammo. Made my day sir! Thank you.
I need to order me some LOK Grips now!!
Absolutely my favorite size

Hey, the Gun has nothing to do with my own problems!! IT is a GREAT shooter though.

I’ve been thinking about getting one of those Garrisons..
They are REALLY good pistols!!
I assume the title was supposed to say, First Range Time? Not, First Rage Time? 😂
I fixed that Typo

Commander size pistols are nice because they conceal better and weigh less. I seem to shoot them better. Even in double stack.
OK.... You have an Opinion, and Opinions are like Belly Buttons, EVERYONE has one!!!
