- PART TWO HERE: • MHD's and GWVIllager's...
[Part 1 of 2]
And lo, I team up with Wales' 6723rd most popular person, GWVillager once more for another fun collab video! This time, we go over our favourite and least favourite UK bus liveries with some...interesting thoughts shared back and forth.
We kept our answers hidden until recording, so neither of us knew before hand of our choices. Hand on hearts.

This video was delayed by a week due to the heatwave and a random cold I got DURING the heatwave as well as some audio issues present. To add, the original plan was to have both bus and trains in a single video which would've been waaaaay too long honestly, so the abrupt end was due to us changing our minds to split the video into a more manageable two parts. The second part will be done once we record sometime later in the coming days/weeks and will be linked here.
It's always lovely to see the contrast between these 2.
My main issue with Stagecoach 2020 livery is not the colour palette, but the application. Namely, different garages had different ways of painting onto the same type of bus and the large amount of curves lead to some wonkier attempts... Also when pannels were inevitably replaced, mismatched parts would be bodged into place. Very shabby and inconsistent!
Let’s do this with trains 🤣
It is the plan!
Soon my child...
could’ve sworn i heard you as an announcer on the Southeastern bexleyheath line tunnel works
or somebody sounds completely identical to you lol
Nah that wasn't me. Never even heard the announcement so I'm curious to hear the resemblence. Do you have a link to a recording of it?
Stagecoach is being rebranded again and its now a base color of navy blue or white with a logo printed around the rear
5:41 either a streetdeck or B5TL
38:20, No, you're not allowed to give them bones, give them all the criticisms
6:18 when i first did Y716TOH it went on all routes AND I MEAN ALL ROUTES, no matter how small, short, tight or retarded it did it but now it’s mainly glued to the 6, 10 and sometimes does 51/X51 or 997/934 bc it’s euro 6 loool. so that mf shouldn’t be dying anytime soon unless it gives way like it’s BX02 brothers that got withdrawn each time they broke down
Y-TOH(2001-current(only 1 left)

i do miss that b&h livery, it just looked so simple and nice
It is, plus it works well on all their buses.
2:47 olympia looks tired
1) barbie
2) urban
3) regional liveries(essex bus, shuttles etc)
4) olympia
5) the new first livery😭
10:10 at the top deck (on that specific vehicle / most of that specification of the CNG Scania E400 City examples they have in Bristol) where the rainbow stripe goes, if there wasnt a stripe over it then that part would be in plain colour as it's a solid panel without windows.
I personally cannot comprehend why they have that trapezium on the top deck whilst not having the glazed staircase, but oh well.
I know you said you don't care, but the cream and red was introduced to Brighton & Hove in the 1980s and adapted to the more modern version around 2004.
Also, I 100% agree with the new Stagecoach livery being bad.
Well I wasn't too far off at least, so there's that.
Why is the audio so quiet 😭
A technical fault on my end during the recording. It should hopefully be rectified in part 2.
Hi Daniel just got a question for you.
How do you qualify for the disabled Railcard?
I saw you had it when I recently rewatched the 91 railway review and saw it and just wondered.
I didn’t know this crossover existed 😮
@@QwertyAfro I'm glad to bless you with this knowledge. Also hello again Qwerty!
@@MaverickHunterDaniel and blessed I was! Let me know if you ever fancy doing something collaborative again. As we both have the joys of working in the railway I’m sure we have opinions ready to be unleashed 😆
@@QwertyAfro I'll need to get in touch again, last time I spoke to you was on Skype. That's how long ago it was haha.
Btw,Stagecoach re-liveried because people got “Confused” By the liveries,I have a funny incident of this tho,Also it was intended I believe to be different,Green for special services/Hire ( used on some coaches today and Kent uni buses! ) Blue for local and yellow was meant to be distance but no one knows if there was meant to be another livery!
Btw,London’s buses are all red to hide competition,Something they do better in Manchester
15:11 Poland flag aah bus
NXWM liveries
1) crimson(livery pretty much reversed the age of buses)
2)TWM
3) red & white NX livery
4) platinum
5) the new black and red livery🤢
i wish that london bus companies weren’t forced to make their buses ENTIRELY red, the different strips did make each operator feel unique but if you go back 20 odd years before Tellings Golden-Miller rage-sold their London and Surrey operations to National Express it was white and blue all over!
I do miss the diversity of the liveries you got in London back in the day. London Sovereign, Armchair, Metroline, First Citybus, Selkent, Arriva and TGM as you mentioned. It was all a technicolour dish I'll say.
