I don't need to install these versions just install this latest patch tuesday right away. Nothing will happen if I don't install the preview version only immediately patch tuesday?
What version of revios 11 are you installing? If installed in 23.02 version, the delay will be lower than previous versions. However, this version has a problem with disabling widgets, I think that is the reason why the performance is a bit worse than previous versions. (Perhaps it's best to turn it off.)
he's been using the version from i 8th march i think so the latest one since it got updated on 28th of feburary. i also got 23.02 a few days back and i'm quite happy about it
What you have tested is ok, but one of the most important things to check is the number of processes running. That gives a fair representation of how much work has been done to strip down the OS and how light it is running. It seems you have skipped this. For me, an os that doesn't get updates is not usable for desktop use because it will quickly become outdated and unsafe. So checking the number of processes and ram usage before and after updates is very important to see if the updates re-enable things or not. Disk usage is only somewhat important in those rare locations where I don't have enough disk space. Disk usage rarely influences the performance of the OS if processes and ram usage stay approximately the same and there is a sufficient amount of free disk space to not hold back the OS from working optimally.
This is a very good point. But let's not forget for who and what this operating systems are actually made. Mostly for old, low end devices, and in that case updates for them are irrelevant. Middle and high end devices should stick with regular windows. Nevertheless, thank you for your comment and suggestion. I'll make sure to make processes visible in my next videos. Very interesting. But the chrome tab test is rather pointless the way it's executed. You're loading YT tabs. How much data each tab/ player instance buffers is completely unpredictable and as long as both browser installs are identical, there shouldn't be a difference in the first place. The only variable that might affect two identical browsers' memory usage is the system's pagefile settings, in which case less memory usage means larger pagefile which means your browser is actually running slower because of the overly aggressive memory management. The OS's idle memory footprint is one thing, but applications are supposed to use all the memory they need as long as there's free memory available and it's the system's job (only when free mem is getting really low) to free up reserved but unused memory as well as move old pages to the swapfile. If Spectre frees up more memory than usual that would explain the difference in GeekBench scores since GB is rather memory sensitive and all else being equal more free memory means higher peak throughput and therefore higher compute scores (which is why for some workloads it's more cost-effective to buy more ram instead of faster ram). That theory would also explain the higher multithreaded score in CineBench. Spectre kicks old data out of active memory quicker, which for a raster render engine is a good thing - not so much for most other applications. As seen with that simple software install test. Spectre is bottlenecking itself because of whatever they did with memory management to get those low numbers (that are counter-productive for actual computer use).
Basically: Revi OS still remain some of its feature from stock windows, such as: UWP apps, WebView features, and so on Ghost Spectre 11 Superlite: as its name, superlite, mean there's no bloatware, feature, or anything remain on it. That's why
