    Your controller is 25 amps max throttle and your battery is 60ah so 60/25 is 2.4 hrs of full throttle so your average speed at full throttle is 30mph so 30x2.4 = 72 miles range at full throttle the entire time. as long as you don't have more than 35 miles to go in one direction and started at a full charge you will have no problems besides the chance of a flat tire.

    Thats something else.. I have a 12ah battery which is good enough for my short commutes, but 60ah is just insane.
    I would love to see ebikes start using LiFePo4 cells. The longer life would be a great improvement over the standard lithium which degrades a lot faster. I know weight is a factor, but If their making batteries this huge, they might as well start using LiFePo4 on regular sized batteries too

    You need to have a bike that goes as fast as the other people you ride with sometimes. But 28-30 mph should be fine for 99% of people. More than 28 plus mph you would be riding beyond the capabilities of other people on their bikes. Nice to have some spare speed to catch a couple people ahead though. One thing that would be neat is if an ebike company releases a bike with a EV fast charging port that can handle decently amp charging. If I could recharge my ebike at almost any EV station in an hour, then range anxiety disappears entirely.

    • @EricReviews

      have a little over 300 miles on it now. I have another Ebike I ride too. That one was entry level more or less. The Ecotric 26” fat tire snow /beach bike. 36 volt 500w motor. I bought that bike Nov 2021. Started riding it spring of last year. That one has over 1900 miles now. It was my first Ebike. I added suspension fork and pimped it out ! Lololol I also had range anxiety so I first added a rear rack with a bag on it and I’d carry a spare battery. Stock bat on that bike will get you 24-30+ miles using PAS 4 most the time but pedaling with it. I later added a 20 AH Rack battery, those big brick type ones with a simple ON OFF ON switch in the controller box. I can toggle between batteries. That set up gives me another 45-52+ miles basically I made it a long range bike ! I can go 70-80+ miles on both those batteries.
      On both bikes I added dual blue tooth speakers and turn signals front n rear. The Ecotric I put dual headlights a taillight and supercool very bright brake lights ! This lighting is all custom on my 26” bike. Unlocked Thst bike will do 24-26 mph when fully charged. Def not as torquey as the AQ though. The AQ 177 PM is a blast I like riding it more on throttle though. Both are cool bikes!

    Question for you …. I once rode the AQ till battery stopped pulling me. I had to ride about 5-6 miles home. When you said it’s “easy” to pedal do you mean relatively speaking ? I could not go faster then about 12-13 mph at best and honestly I’d say you can comfortable pedal it going about 8-10 mph. Over that you will get a good work out! And forget 15-20+ mph just pedaling like a reg bike. NOT going to happen lololol

    • @EricReviews
      @EricReviews  Рік тому +1

      In comparison to many other ebikes, it's a pretty easy bike to pedal. I haven't tested what speeds I can pedal to, but if the bike died out somewhere, I would be able to pedal home without any issues. As long as you are utilizing the gears as you increase or decrease in speed, pedaling should not be a problem.
      With that being said, it is a heavy ebike, so this bike or any other ebike, I wouldn't expect to race it or go 15mph+ on pure leg power and no assist. So I guess in the end, I'm saying it's easy to pedal compared to other ebikes, not regular bikes.
      Side note..how did you manage to run the battery empty on this monster battery? lol. Did you go on a really long ride or just forget to charge it?

    • @jakereal3604

      I live in the Rockaway‘s Queens New York. I sometimes ride the bike from here to Manhattan or to Jones Beach. Each one of those rides is about 52 to 55 miles depending what route I take. My go to ride is the belt parkway trails From my house I go about 1.5 miles to the boardwalk. Then ride West across the Pennisula to Riis Park beach, over the Marine Parkway bridge into Brooklyn where I pick up the trails on the belt parkway. That ride round-trip is about 27 miles. So I went to Manhattan one day and then I rode the trails two other days and thought I might be able to get a third trail ride out of it but after about 6 miles battery gave out and I had a pedal back home at that point that was about 111 miles I had rode over 3.days, mostly just throttle only.

    • @jakereal3604
      @jakereal3604 Рік тому

      Forgot to say his was on PURPOSE as I wanted a real life range and wanted to see at what point does the battery give out? The half way mark seems to be about 46.6 volts roughly meaning say from a full charge you rode this bike 53 miles and you’re down to 46.6 volts. All things considered you can go about another 53 miles before it will cut out on you. That is given the same terrain , speeds how much pedal assist you gave it etc. The remaining 50% of the ride has to be similar as first 1/2. Keep in mind too the following that many don’t know. My 26” fat tire 36v bike when fully charged reads 41.5-42 volts! When they say 36 volts that’s the NOMINAL voltage.
      My Aniioki AQ is the 48 volt version and when fully charged that reads about 54 volts. For some reason the approximate 1/2 way point in range seems to be when either bike is about 6 volts less then full charge.
      Last when people say rode it till battery was dead ….. in reality these batteries still have about 30% capacity remaining, but the reason these don’t allow to go to zero volts is due to the chemistry of LiOn batteries. They can get damaged if they go below about 30-35% capacity. So the BMS (battery management system) on rechargeable devices like our Ebikes cuts it off before you go into the damaging zone to help preserve battery cycle life

    • @jakereal3604
      @jakereal3604 Рік тому +1

      FYI. Your 52 volt system fully charged is about 58.8 volts and your 1/2 way drained mark is also the magical max charged voltage minus 6 volts, so for you the magic 1/2 way mark is about 52.4 volts.

    BTW Did you verify the speedo to be accurate using a GPS? The reason I ask is that my 48v 750w version was reading about 30-31 mpg when fully charged, and it honestly felt that fast but when I compared it to the GPS it was off quite a bit! Like 3-4 mph! The 48v version will do 28-29 mph fully charged without any sting head wings but not 30-31+ perhaps yours being a 52 v 1000w it likely can break 30 mph. Still I’d check with a GPS. I went into tire settings and was about to change it to I think23-24” tire size and that got me closer to within like . 6 mph The thing I don’t like in settings is it doesn’t have fractions of inch. Only 18”,19”, 20”, 21” etc. You can’t do say. 23.7 “ or 23.4”. My Ecotric let me tailor it to the tenths which got me just about dead on to actual speed !! But I guess .6 mph difference isn’t bad. I let it over register to make me feel better lol I’d rather it say 28.3 the see 27.7 mph lol.

    • @EricReviews
      @EricReviews  Рік тому

    How much does it cost to replace the battery? What happens if any of these ebike companies go out of business or discontinue the batteries after they discontinue the bike? That's my concern. These bikes should be designed with upgradability/expandability in mind so that they can extend the life of them. I don't want to have to keep buying Ebikes because I've gotten too used to the one that I have snd can't expand on it.

    • @EricReviews
      @EricReviews  Рік тому

      This battery is around $1000.
      Some ebike companies do come and go. In these cases, usually a 3rd party company would make a compatible battery. Otherwise, you'd have to take your battery to someone and get it rebuilt. Not as convenient, but typically this costs about the same as buying a new one, so it's not too bad.
      On average, most ebike battery replacements are about 4-600.

    Under worst case scenario, you can easily achieve a solid 80 miles range per charge on that Aniioki 52V electric bike. Aniioki AQ177 Pro Max is way better than a Optibike R22 Everest and is certainly way better than a Delfast Top 3.0 for sure. • @jakereal3604
      @jakereal3604 Рік тому

      I agree. So far both bikes I bought needed the brakes adjusted. To be honest I don’t find these hydraulics and better then the cable ones on my Ecotric. Maybe they’re still breaking in. Just FYI the word Brake when referring to a component that has stopping power is spelled BRAKE not BREAK as you wrote. Break means when something fails or gets destroyed or broken it”breaks”. This is a common mistake but one I felt needed to be corrected!

    • @zeppast

      @@jakereal3604 The "brakes" are not high end by any means they are just ok but stop the bike well enough if tuned correctly. Sorry not my intent to insult anyone or be condescending, it wasn’t my intention at all. Some people, even car guys, make that mistake of brake vs break. Again no disrespect !! I admit in the scheme of life, if I learn every day and live to be 100 I still won’t know a FRACTION of what there is to know in this world ! Anyone whom thinks they know everything is the biggest fool and I can proudly admit I know very little in the broad picture of life.
      On the brakes though, do you find these kind of just adequate? I was unimpressed to be honest and I thought hydraulic brakes would be a very light squeeze of the lever and the bike would quickly come to a rapid stop. NOT the case with this bike at all. But to be fair I have the Ecotric 26” fat tire bike and when I got that bike I felt like its’ disc brakes were no better or even LESS effective then rim type pull lever brakes! It took a while for them to break in and then they seemed much better though I recently swapped out the pads for better quality ones and now that beast really stops on a dime! I’m guessing to cut costs that Aniioki put cheap pads on this bike too. The pad change was the biggest improvement on my brake function. I think these use a different pads as the rotors are bigger then my Ecotric plus not sure if hydraulic VS mechanical calipers use same or similar pads. All new to me! Safe n Fun biking

In regards to the brakes yes the pad material is not the best quality they are budget pads. Buying some semi metallic or higher quality ceramic pads would improve the bite of the pads on the rotor. In terms of quality I would say these brakes are just ok nothing special I have had better brakes on other bikes. I kinda wish Aniioki gave us 203 mm in the front and 180 mm in the rear. The brakes aren't fantastic or terrible the word adequate is the best way I could describe them.
