In Africa, whenever it comes too predators you NEED to have keen eyes. Spotting Lions or Leopards is really difficult if don't have good eyesight. For example: when Mahina looks out into the grasslands, he's checking for movement that isn't the wind. And he spots the Lion, but can't confirm it
It's the same when it comes to predators in the forest, and mountains of North America. Mountain lions can be just as dangerous as their bigger relatives in Africa. Being aware of your surroundings, and listening to what's going on around you is important too. One of the scariest things in the woods, is when everything. The insects, and little animals go completely silent, and you get that I'm being watched feeling. It's especially scary when it happens at night, a few yards from the light of your campfire, and there's no moon light.
Die Natur wehrt sich egal in welcher Gestalt.Ein Klassiker als Spielfilm mit einem sehr aktuellem Hintergrund. Die Natur braucht uns nicht ,aber wir die Natur. 🙏
Boosh McFadden why does that name sound so familiar ? Are you the Devil ? it has to be somebody and I knew he would come calling someday...yeah I know the line I put it in there, but it's much more than that isn't it Mr Mcfadden...I read between the lines really well and I never underestimate anyone
I absolutely loved this movie. Several times I tried to get my dad to see it because he enjoyed not just big cats but also Michael Douglas. He couldn't be persuaded because of the thriller/startle features in the movie.
An epic teaming of historically Oscar nominated superpowers, behind, and in front of the camera. From music to sound, to cinematography, to screenwriting, and more.... The ‘Jaws’ of lion movies... is based on one of the creepiest stories ever told, in natural history. The Ghost, and the Darkness.
In a 1999 interview with SFX magazine, director Stephen Hopkins described his experience making this movie as "a true nightmare". Michael Douglas, who was producing the film, decided at last minute to play Remington. But the working relationship between Douglas and Hopkins was very tense even before filming. Douglas had the movie completely re-cut in post production, removing 45 minutes to give him more screen time. It explains the plot holes and story lines that go nowhere. Hopkins was not happy with the final cut of the film. And Remember, Remington wasn't a real person in fact it was Patterson who killed both lions. This movie had great potential but it has serious plot holes and story lines that go nowhere. The comments calling it a masterpiece are funny.
You won't be impressed much. The real lions are maneless and look like females. It's a pretty boring exhibit to be honest. Just Google images of the museum display. Don't go there just for that.
Tsavo twins, but there's even worse than the tsavo twins, and is the champawat tigress or the real Shere Khan how i call her, she killed over 400 humans, that surprised me, he wasn't a fictional character, Shere Khan was real.
@@PittsburghSportsFan43 Yes, the story is based on "Man Eaters of Tsavo" by Lt Col J.H Patterson a British bridge engineer and hunter. The story is based in Kenya.
When I saw this movie, I was afraid. But in real life, it would have been more terrifying when you find out they didn’t have a lion’s main on their necks. Could you believe 9’ long. I run into mountain lions while bow hunting and coming back at dust or after shooting hours. Like a bear, they would not hesitate. All I had then was my bow and my knife & mag flashlight.
he was relying the information that circulated at THAT time. Which, as we now know, was often inaccurate. But it puts the movie into the historical time frame.
Actually this is not big deal including hunters like COL PATERSON and other British men overconfident unprepared with unloaded rifles. These people are focused on completing TRAIN PROJECT'S in time But they forgot MAN EATERS LION 1- BURN ALL DRY GRASS 2- FENCING IS REQUIRED FOR HOSPITAL & RESIDANCE 3-, PROVIDE SWORDS TO MAN POWER UNLESS U KILLE BOTH LIONS NO WORK ! 👍👍👍
I know...you are so right, what is to weird is that they ran together males were never known to do that before, attack like a team as say wolves do...thanks for watching Ayden cool comment
Excellent movie, although Charles Remington was fictional and only Colonel Paterson was real. I actually saw the reconstructed lions at the Chicago Field Museum many years ago.

Just noticed at that moment, the whispered "simba" on the soundtrack

That scene is terrifying.
I think Mahina sensed them instinctively too.
There is nothing worse than that feeling when you are out in the wild, and you feel your being watched.
@@Vejur9000 That's true. Whenever anyone gets that feeling, assume that you are being watched

Shere khan was immortalize in Mowgli. The villain tiger.
Yeah but your talking about East Indian people.Peoplewho are passive, religious and…..well .

Stormtroopers vs lions.
Fear is magnified when the comfort of reason betrays you. Everything, even the ability to aim is out of sync.
Remington is pure fictional. Patterson killed the maneaters. I recommend reading Peter capstick books
