    I have the 2018 GT 1 all wheel drive. In the same ceramic silver. I was going to go with the MRBP BUT NOW I'M ALL IN ON BORLA !!

      I love my borla! I was hesitant and indecisive between mbrp and borla and was given an opportunity to buy the borla brand new for 800 still in the box and I jumped on it. Best decision ever!

    I was interested in getting the borla exhaust myself, how does the exhaust work with the variable exhaust valves on the 2022? Did you have to remove them?

    • @chase3721
      @chase3721  2 роки тому

      Yeah I did have to remove them. The valves are built into the factory mufflers. I just unplugged the wiring and stuffed the plugs with dialectic grease to keep them from corroding and stuffed them up into the bumper so they weren’t hanging down

  • @brianhauger5290

    did you do any modifications for the exhaust tip alignment since the 22 are larger and wider apart? this has been the only reason i have been holding off on the current exhaust options.

    Did you had to tune the engine when you deleted the cat?

    • @chase3721
      @chase3721  2 роки тому +1

      No I didn’t. There’s 4 cats in total on these cars. Primary’s and secondary’s. The cars computer reads the exhaust after your primary cats, so if you remove your primary’s it’ll throw a code unless you get an ecu tune for the car but if you only remove your secondary cats it won’t throw a code since it’s not reading the exhaust gasses after them. But there is a slight chance of over boosting. But I believe that all depends on the car. I personally haven’t had an issue even below freezing temps where air is more dense

    • @chase3721
      @chase3721  2 роки тому +1

      But it is preferred to tune it. If you do have a tune for the car it’s very easy to get rid of the over boost issues. It’s basically a safety feature these cars have to keep from blow them up

    yooo nova i have a question on the new borla exhaust did u switch the sensors onto the new one

    • @chase3721
      @chase3721  2 роки тому

      The borla exhaust doesn’t have the active exhaust valves. But I believe borla has a new exhaust in the works for the 22 models to maintain the active exhaust. But if you decide to get the borla you’ll just unplug the connectors and tuck them into the bumper so there not hanging down. And it won’t throw a code while it’s unplugged

    • @chase3721
      @chase3721  2 роки тому

      @@jalove7 there are no sensors that plug into the borla exhaust unless borla finally came out with a new system for the 22+ stingers that have the active exhaust. I believe you’re thinking about high flow cats

    • @chase3721
      @chase3721  2 роки тому

      @@jalove7 sure send it my way because the only two actuators are on both mufflers for the active exhaust and I haven’t heard that borla has produced a new system to utilize them. That’s why I stated above that you have to tuck them into the rear bumper until a company has a new system on the market to fully utilize the active exhaust on the 22+ stingers and mine was a 22. I believe you might be thinking of a different exhaust company that’s not borla because there is one or two out there now for them

    • @chase3721
      @chase3721  2 роки тому

      @@jalove7 my bad, I know what the are and you know what I mean but I know those are the only two because I had a 22 stinger so why are you trying to prove a point that I already know?

    • @chase3721
      @chase3721  2 роки тому

      @@jalove7 just checked the video out. That exhaust is not the same exhaust that the stingers use. For one the piping that’s shown is too big for the stingers. Borla exhaust use 2.25in exhaust. What’s shown in the video looks to be bigger and I also have a picture of the exhaust out of the box that’s designed for the 18-21 stingers and it doesn’t have the actuators. No stinger made in 18-21 have active exhaust unless it’s custom and if you check out borla their self they don’t state that they have an active exhaust for those year models and if you’d like you can also call them to confirm

    does the car not allow full boost on launch control? Why is the gauge reading half?

    • @chase3721
      @chase3721  2 роки тому +1

      From factory the tcu only allows about 2psi of boost for launch. Only way to achieve higher psi is to get a tcu tune. The tcu tune alone can drop your 0-60 by almost half a second. Been waiting to get one myself

    • @chase3721
      @chase3721  2 роки тому +1

      The gauge you had seen was actually reading foot pounds of torque. Not sure how accurate it is and never payed attention to it. The one on the far right is the boost gauge. But the numbers on that gauge aren’t reading the correct number due to the jb4. The jb4 reads the correct psi since it’s a piggy back tuner

    • @chase3721
      @chase3721  2 роки тому +2

      An ECU tune will be smoother compared to the jb4 but you can still achieve 500bhp with the jb4 450whp kit. I never had any issues when I had mine. If you’re wanting to achieve 500whp cpi or wmi can easily get you there and terry with burger tuning will always help you with any issues you’re having and can always help you to fine tune your jb4

      @@jinamarasinghe9380 personally the first for me is tint but after that I would go with the jb4 along with hks plugs and intakes first, then I’d get an exhaust then a tcu tune afterwards.
