I literally just bought one of these to use with my Headrush. I’m going to use it just like you. One output to front of house and one to this speaker for me. If they ever make a tweed version, I’ll be all over it!
Sounds great. I have the fr12 with the IR-200. What amp on the IR2 are you using? There's loads of switching variety on there too. Check out the cab and amp options. The FR10 will sound great with the HX STOMP XL. I used a Hot Rod Deluxe mk2 for years...don't miss it
Please try the ToneX as your digital amp. The Tonex One does the trick. Just use the best rated model availablenof the amp you like (Deluxe Reverb I guess?). I tried MANY digital amps and ToneX is by far the most reals sounding AND it has so many extras (comp, rvb, switch/boost whatever, …)
One downside I can see is price. You’re paying a premium for a modeling unit and a second premium for some sort of FRFR cab/amp. With something like a Quilter pedal which is also an amp you can just plug it into an old school guitar cab, and it has an XLR out. Not quite as versatile though on the multiple sounds front.
Price kind of depends. I bought my HX Stomp used off of Reverb for around $700 CDN. The Fender FR10 was under $700 new at L&M. I could buy a new Fender tube Combe (Deluxe Reverb or Pro Reverb) for $2,000.00 easily. Yes, I loved the couple of Quilters I had. Back in late 2021 to early 2022 I ran the POD Go into a Quilter and into a Fender Bassbreaker speaker cab. The sound was excellent :)
I just set it up as if I was using a real amp (and not the amp's fx loop). If I was using an old Fender tube amp with no fx loop all the pedals would be hitting the front of the amp. And I don't mind that sound. So that's what I was going for here :)
Macmax just has no clue how to use the EQ on the Fender or in a modeler/profiler pedal. I bet he’s never even used an EQ pedal at all. Which is the most important pedal any guitar player can have.
I'm anxious to hear your thoughts after you gig with it. I use the FR12 & pod go & I'm pretty happy with it.
Absolutely. My gig calendar is quite lean these days...nothing until December. But a future gig video with the FR10 will indeed come :)

Hope it works out for you 🤘
@ thanks, I’m lovin it so far!
Good on ya Josh - Bring on the PodGo & HXStomp demos with the FR10. I've gigged it a few times and it's solid on a small stage enviroment.
Yup, demo videos will come :)
Sold mine. Great till it gets loud then it sounds bad.
Mine hissed so bad I just couldn’t deal with it
Thought Fender fixed the hiss in the newer ones and had an upgrade for the older ones?

I use just the "Clean" amp. Sounds great so far 🤘
sounds good and I could easily make that work - if it sounds good, it is good...
Absolutely!

I'm already there my friend 😉 Just doing some learning and testing for the next few days. Video to come.
Do you notice any loss of volume in the FR 10 when you go direct to the house or PA and need to adjust because it’s droppped down?
I just got the FR10 a couple of days ago. Haven't used it live yet. But, I plan on making a video of it's live maiden voyage at my next gig :)

Why not use the chorus after the IR2?

You lost me when you said Tonemaster, They sound like the cliché, with one or two blankets have been covering the whole amp. Tubes for me.
He‘s talking about the FR Cabinet!! NOT about a Tone Master Amp!
Idiot 😂
I love tubes as well. I'm just seeing if I can come up with an alternative rig that is more compact, lighter weight and still sounds good.
