When I read about Peter's denial, I see it differently, the rest of the disciples are not even in the picture, they took off, but Peter, although scared, is quite loving by staying close to the Lord. I think it is for this reason the Lord chose Peter to lead the disciples. I think it was love, not yet perfected, that propelled Peter to act by using his sword and by staying in the court yard. Peter was yet to perfect his love in Christ because he didn't have the life of Christ, the Holy Spirit but watch Peter later after John 20:22 and after Pentecost. AlI the same I learned new things.
