    Yet another reason why you should always wear a mask... Thanks for watching and subscribe for behind the scenes videos!
    Oh and by the way, I do realize the krana is not quite correct and the toa should have their golden masks - I just didn't have those at the time of filming! Hopefully that will not detract too much from the viewing experience :)

      You could argue the different Krana-use is just a part of this being an amalgamated representative of both of Onua's rescues of Lewa in G1, since the lack of gold masks calls back to Onua saving Lewa from his infected one in 2001.

So much personality conveyed through movement alone with some slick air and earth effects, you've really done a great service to all BIONICLE fans! How TF did you do this???
    I don’t know what I’m impressed more by, the animation and visual quality or just the way you got them to be so fluid while using models that have rigid and gear-based parts. Like, how did you get their arms to not swivel around randomly while filming? How’d you get them to twist their heads??? Crazy stuff. It’s even a real storyline from the original lore. Great stuff, brings me back to my childhood. Wish we had this stuff back then.

    I love overall the result of your hard work to make the animation so smooth and the plot easy to grasp.
    But I must say that what make this special to me personally...
    The minimum modifications on the sets. I am aware the pose ability of original sets is lacking for such project, but I can not express how wonderful was to see them move.
    Thank you for this decision and your effort is greatly appreciate ^_^

      @TheBohrokMan  3 роки тому +1

      Geez dude, good ear!! You are indeed correct, I used the labs strings (and the related BBC Symphony Orchestra, also from Spitfire) and LMMS to make the music. I'm new to composing, so I just used the first good free stuff I could find. If you have any advice, instrument packs/software you like to use, or places you've learned how to compose from, I'd love to know. You seem good at this stuff from your channel! Anyway, glad you enjoyed it! :D

      @@TheBohrokMan I could send you an invite to a group of composers they know more than I do there and can always recommend good libraries and stuff but they tend to always try and convince others to buy expensive library (they convinced me once, I don’t regret it but my wallet does) if you join the group you’ll be able to find a list of good free vsts for music and there are better DAWs than Lmms for that kind of composing such as waveform free, cakewalk, FL Studio Demo (you can’t save project but can export) cakewalk and waveform are not limited they let you do whatever you want to do. If you don’t want to join I could try to send you a few links and give you the names of some really good free stuff. I recognized Labs because I always use stuff from there it’s very high quality even though it’s free same for BBCSO but I have to say the cote version is really worth the buy especially for starters like you, I think they have a discount on it rn and you have everything you need in there to start composing.
      If you don’t already have the free stuff native instruments have I’ll highly recommend getting the free stuff they have it’s all demo products from actual synths/plugins they have but reduced the amount of possibilities, still very good and a good place to start.

    Here’s a tip for articulation: You can use flex tube as there necks. It slightly extends them, (not by much, only slightly.) But gives them full neck articulation.

    That was outstanding cap’n! Great special fx, strong camera angles, solid story telling.
    A lot of the motion felt a little too uniform (I didn’t quite feel the force or weight of the attacks in the fight scene), but this animation was truly a grand step forwards for the community.

    OH MY GOODNESS YOU ACTUALLY BACK, THIS IS AWESOME, CANT WAIT TO SEE MORE AMAZING STOP MOTIONS
    Also do you have any advice for stopmotions, I'm not the best and I'm trying to grow my channel, my main question is how to keep the figures planted on the ground, even when I use glue tack they fall over alot, and I'm not the best at editing stands of the screen

    • @TheBohrokMan
      @TheBohrokMan  3 роки тому +1

      Hey! I just subscribed to your channel, your animations are looking great, keep it up! Keeping the figures planted on the ground is one of the most important things in stop motion. Professionals use tie-downs, basically they screw the feet down into the table. Another option is glue tack, like you said. In this video here, the whole ground is made from clay, and so the Bionicles stick into it really securely. You could also try magnets, where you glue a magnet into the character's feet and then animate on a metal surface or have strong magnets below the table.
      But even if the feet are super securely attached to the table, often the foot joints are not strong enough to hold up the rest of the character for every possible pose. So then you need to use stands like you mentioned. I'd say rig removal is a fundamental part of stop motion, so I think it's worth taking the time to learn good ways to remove the stands. There were stands in most shots in this video! Here's one good tutorial on how to do this using GIMP, which is free: ua-cam.com/video/p0MpjK9wUok/v-deo.html. Searching "stop motion rig removal" in youtube also gives plenty of other good videos which will have the tips you need.
      Keep up the good work! Let me know if you want any more advice or tips, I'm happy to help!
