    I am a diver up here in Puget sound what time of year does this event happen ? Summer... Or spring .. id love to drive down 2 states and film this ... Sea nettles are the coolest...

      The nettle blooms nearshore have gotten a lot less frequent in the last decade. It used to be they were there every summer, but it’s been very hit and miss since. The shots in this video are mostly from 2017-2018 and we hadn’t had a good bloom in a couple years prior to that. Usually mid to late summer bring them in, and the last few years that has been mainly moons and egg yolks. Winter has a different cohort of the jellies, more salps and siphonophores and ctenophores generally.
