We actually did a pool school for the kids in Nebraska, a few of our pool league team members acted as coaches for the kids, assorted skill levels and played the other kids teams, at a few of the league members houses or garages where they kept their pool tables. Now some of them kids are older and playing in state tournaments around the country. We did have an age limit, they had to be at least 11 to 16 years old.

Where I'm at in Texas around 16 years ago a few of our local schools had a billiard program where they would play other local schools.

i think APA scoring is the most fair when it comes to 9 ball, personally. I think the word you were looking for is 'preface' btw :)

I added a feel the stroak step to the preshot routine. Before getting down on ball. That seems to fix most of my pokes cause I think the brain needed pre programed.
I like it.. I've been working on "relaxing" into my shot. If i can relax, my stroke usually turns out ok

I'd love to see you go back to APA, but they did do you wrong and I fully understand your stance on the situation. That said I'd love to see you do more APA rules 9-ball matches on the side. I find APA 9-ball superior to Texas express to play and FAR superior to watch. JMHO.

yessir! I seem to struggle often lately! That's what being an amateur is all about. We practice as much as we can but, we have lives so, we can't practice all day long (which is what it takes to be a top level player)

the deal with the pool in schools is the minors in bars. There are schools that have it but they own their own tables. Usually they will do it as a after school program so you don't have to be a teacher to run the thing but the good thing you can paint it in such a way you can get discounts on the equipment
Or, we could have it in an actual pool hall, rather than a bar
@@Amateur_Pool Josh I get what your saying but do you know of a pool hall anywhere that doesn't serve alcohol. I have played all over the US and I haven't ever been in one that didn't. Well one but it closed 40 years ago... dry counties are a rare thing these days.
Here in little california... Albuquerque New Mexico, as left as the state is, our attempt was a no go unless the pool hall stopped serving an hour before and after the proposed time. background checks for instructors. The instructors were card carrying teachers. We provided transportation from the school. Finally submit formalized teaching plan to count as a elective credit. While I could get a teaching certification at my expense. In the end it was just to much of a political hot topic and I personally didn't have the time to fight the powers that be. Then again maybe we had to grand of a plan in the first place. Maybe when I retire.
Folks often talk about the differences in the US and Europe. I dated a gal from Germany in college she played 8 ball as a elective. All thru Jr High and High School well their equivalent. She said it was fairly common.

Hey Josh couple questions on the apparel. Will you have more colors available soon and what’s the material of the shirts?
I'm only offering a couple of colors right now (as I'm doing this all myself. it gets hard to keep up with if I have too many options right now). I do plan on doing limited runs of different colors (and possibly even different designs) in the future. Right now, I'm just trying to get the brand off and running. The materials of the tee shirts are a cotton blend but, I'm meeting with the supplier this coming weekend. I'm looking over a few options and wanting to get something a little bit heavier weight. I will add descriptions on the website to include the materials.

i'm not really sure man. I wouldn't say that I did it too often but, it def happend! I can tell you that, out of my last 3 TAP matches, I've broke and ran at least 3 racks

The school Billards team would be great I started playing just over a year ago my senior year of high school and that would have been amazing I been watching your videos pretty much since I started playing and I enjoy them every week and feel like that would be good for the kids when I first started I thought I was real good but now I’m a 5 I can see the improvements only problem I can see with schools are being in the bars and stuff but love the content
