    Met this legend twice. He couldn't have been friendlier and more approachable. Saw him one of those times at Sandcastle in NJ for the battle of the legends with Sigel. I walked in while he was informally warming up. He stopped what he was doing and came over to me & my kid and made a big deal over such a young kid being interested in pool. My son ate it up. True gentleman.

      of course he is. All the hate Earl gets is from haters who will never meet him in real life. Haters who will never be even 5% as good or talented as Earl was. And I don't just mean on the pool table, I mean in life.

    Wow. Thanks. Great vid. 480 ..respect. Is he the all around goat? In the conversation, for sure. He is the best pure shot maker that ever lived. Will say that. Earl was criticized by 14.1 snobs but he beat most of their heros. Now we see the mind of Earl. Navigating racks with ease and precision. And he racks his own balls. Humble man. Not dissapointed. Love Earl. My pool hero.

    • @godjhaka7376
      @godjhaka7376 Місяць тому +1

      @@MrJtin69 can you provide the video proof? Efren isn't the best even if Earl says it, and if he did it was to make people like you feel good about Earl not saying he's the best, when he has 5 US Opens and Efren barely has 1 LOL. Earl would say SVB is the best as he has 5 US Opens and won 3 in a row, and 2 consecutive titles. If efren is the best SVB is better than the BEST LOL.
      Also someone with more respect, Ronnie Allen said the truth: Harold WORST is the best.. .Ronnie said not even efren could touch him or be in the same room. Because many people are good at one thing same as Efren and Earl (9ball, straight pool etc). Harold could beat anyone on any billliard game, 3 cushion ,balkline, one pocket you name it. In fact he was taught by the greatest at the time Willie Hoppe which is beyond your pool knowledge but look him up. Anyone who says efren is the best is very unintelligent and knows nothing if they don't even mention Harold Worst.

    • @godjhaka7376
      @godjhaka7376 Місяць тому +3

      @@MrJtin69 you sure won't see efren running 480 balls lol. Don't even think he knows how to play straight pool as he never won anything in it. he couldn't run 480 if he tried. Def not the best. Earl just being nice to gain more fans and keep yall from hating him as much as you do

    • @godjhaka7376
      @godjhaka7376 Місяць тому +1

      @@MrJtin69 tbh if efren was the best, I would quit pool given he has not really shown anything exciting like Earl, Harold Worst, Ronnie Allen etc. He doesn't even talk english good enough to share road stories, and i think that's why people like him (he's quiet, dont say nothing, so they say he's humble etc tho he tortures animals by fighting chickens to the death, a very evil man efren is). The spark that keeps pool alive is people like Earl, SVB amazing skills etc. Efren be like a deaf mute

    Earl is one of a kind. I have an Earl story. Many years ago, at the Cue Club in Las Vegas. I told Earl that 2 friends of mine did the drill where you start with a ball on the spot and you shoot it into the corner pocket and draw back and the goal is to do it 7 times. They both did it the first time!!! (try it and you probably won't run 3). Well, he didn't do it the first time and that fired him up. Typical Earl after a couple of failed attempts he did it 11 times. Remember you must re-spot a ball and shot from where the cue stops.

    Been playing UK/EU, American 8 ball, 9 ball and snooker for 30 years, I've never once played straight pool in my life... but I'm going to next time I go to the club! I actually only checked out this video because a computer game I play (Cue Club 2, amazing game btw!) is currently working on adding straight pool to the game and wanted to brush up on the rules and principles before they release it. This video got me so hyped I'm gonna try it out on a British sized table in our local club to see how it plays and I'll 100% be playing it on the American tables next time I go to the club near my dad's house.
