Altuve hit home runs in 4 consecutive at bats and 5 home runs since yesterday's game. He keeps on showing why he will be remembered as the greatest Astros of all time.
He may go down as the top 5 greatest 2nd baseman of all time
Unfortunately, he has ruined his reputation with the cheating years back. We all know deep down he was in on it, too. It was so sad to see such a great player and team stoop to that weird level of cheating. The allegations won't ever go away.
i'm proud of the Astros, and just the other day I was upset at them for being swept by the Yankees back in Houston. what a ride, Astros really helped themselves, and the Reds helped the Astros out by doing their part as well, beating the Mariners.

He’s just encredible. He’s been looking like the best player in the league after coming back from injury. In the span of 2 weeks, he got his 2000th hit, he hit for the cycle, and now he got 3 home runs in a single game. Future HOF

Altuve is this generation's consummate hitter. He has a career batting average of .307 and shows why he will be in the Hall of Fame. He's had 31 games with four hits from 2011-2021, the most among any player in that span in MLB, and he also has the most 3+ hit games in MLB since 2011 with over 160. The four home runs in four consecutive plate appearances tied the major league record. He's the first player in MLB history to hit for the cycle and hit a 3-home run game in the same season.
In the postseason, Altuve ranks second all-time in home runs (23), third in runs scored (78), tied for fourth in hits (103), and eighth in RBIs (49).
All this from a guy that was sent home from try out camp when he was 16 because he was deemed too short and they suspected that he had lied about his age.

Third player in history to hit 3 homeruns in the first 3 innings of a game, i think. Amazing to see the Rangers fall off so hard, but not surprising they were overperformimg all season in my opinion this drop off was inevitable in my eyes.
