I've been wanting to try some old lenses - nice video. Best wishes!
They are definitely a challenge, but that's half the fun 🙌 Best wishes to you too! 👍
Great pictures! What adapter are you using? Will it focus on infinity?
Can recommend hidden gem takumar 50mm f1.4 , even more characteristics on the glass.
Thanks for the recommend 👍
great suggestion, both the super-tak and the helios 44 give excellent warm creamy images
Definitely a touch nicer than the modern glass IMHO. Not that the ef lenses you've shown are in any way bad. I enjoy using my nikkor-h 50mm f2 (pre Ai) on my 5D but for most things I miss the auto stop down and auto focus of my ef 50 1.8ii. I'm usually shooting my kids so I guess with mf glass it would be a matter of setting hyperfocal and keeping it at f11 or so!
Thanks as always!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! 😎👌
nikkor-H is a great lens. i love using the pre-AI nikkor's on the 5D. they always work great and i like the aperture control on those. my EF 50/1.8ii never auto focused well enough for me.
@@campbells0ups mine seems to do OK although it's virtually the only af lens I've used so it may be a bit poor compared to other ef lenses.
I'm super keen to get my hands on a nikkor-o 35 f2. The impressive centre sharpness and the way it falls off towards the edges give such a stunning image aesthetic IMHO!! Plus colour and contrast seem to be magical from that lens. 🤤
whats' the music used here?
Lovely images. I was expecting more swirly bokeh, but the location probably did not allow for it.
Nicely done ❤
Thank you 😎👌
Wondering about the processing of the bnw, they look kinda nice and gritty, did you add grain or anything?
Thanks for noticing the grain! I don't do much post-editing, just the basics really, I prefer keeping things quite natural. Depending on the situation, I add grain by using a higher ISO in-camera. The 5D tends to render quite organic grain, especially for black and white. My ISO setting can range from 800 to the extended 3200.
1:30 that Dude on the left just took a Picture of you 😂
📸😮
Dope !!! One of my fav accounts man. I shot the 5D Classic the other day myself, most recent video on my page (also in the camera based playlist), check it if you get some time !
Thank you for your kind feedback! I'm thrilled to know that you're finding the content enjoyable 🙌 I just had the pleasure of watching your 5D Classic video, and I must say, you've truly encapsulated the essence of this camera and its special affinity with the 50mm lens. I can see you had an interesting and fun day out on the pier 😎 I Enjoyed your collection of images, but if I had to choose my top three, 1.20, 1.28 and 1.31. I hope we get see more of your Canon 5D Classic images in the near future 👍
@@paulappleby2729 Wow !!! Thanks for the words man, and thanks for taking the time ! And you nailed it, 50mm is my favorite lens on there. Think I want to get a 35mm tho, we'll see. Definitely going to shoot the 5D again soon, I have it ON the table and not in the bag.. If I see it out and on the table, I'm more inclined to take it with me. In the bag I get forgetful lol. Chat soon and keep shooting ! You're one of the goats w/ the 5D !
It’s great to hear your 5D, like mine, is always out ready to shoot 📸😎 I would like to try out the 35mm prime, but I found the 40mm pancake more suitable for me. If you do get the 35mm be sure to make a video on it, the images you’ll produce I’m certain will finally persuade me to get one 😀 Your kind words are very encouraging 🙌 You too keep shooting!
