I think the problem is not just with this issue but the British in general. They know exactly what they have done around the Muslim World over the last 2-300 years and even in many many other parts of the World that weren't Muslim. What they are actually afraid of is retribution over the long term. It's their guilty conscience and their fear of Divine Justice. It's a very visceral fear linked to conscience implanted into us humans by Allah. 👍👍

No, that's not why. The CHURCH of England are obviously against Islam (because they're Christian) so they wouldn't want their old churches to be converted into mosques. The other reason is that many English people feel that having churches turned into mosques is disregarding them and their heritage (and even replacing them). The problem you need to ask Christian that don't like to answer is why the Church are getting abndonned ? Why they are mostly empty ? I don't think any Church with a lot of full devout Christians will close or let a nightclub replace it .
it is not about being nervous or not, it is about controlling the building, in case it is needed in the future, or need to be re-converted into a church. if it becomes a mosque, then it will be more difficult to take it from muslims without being accused of islamophobia, but if it is a library or a night-clubs, it is different.

I was hesitant too, but thinking about it a library and woman only gym beside the mosque will benefit Muslims.

But I don't think an interfaith library is necessary spreading kufr. Especially if it's organized do that people know what they're reading. Keep in mind that Muslim scholars have always studied christians and Jewish scriptures at a time where christians we're making up stories about Muslims beliefs to make us look like pagans rather than searching.
Muslims also studied Hindu scriptures in the past. So I personally don't think reading other religious books is necessarily a bad thing. Not only does it help you understand the other sidew but it could also helps you strengthen your own faith by doing comparaisons

There are lots of Christian churches and synagogues in Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Jordan, Indonesia, Qatar, Kuwait. … If you go to any number of so-called Muslim countries you will see thriving Christian and Jewish populations.
