- We get a lot of questions about how long it takes to complete a Land Rover Defender restoration project. While the timeline might vary depending on the build level - it's typically 600-1,600 hours over the course of a year or so.
In the case of our Project Steele build, we decided to combine a lot of the assembly work into a short 8 hour sprint to show how much work can be done when you're properly prepared.

Haha, love the GoPro shooting stick!
i came for the link to the camera tape...japanese timber framing is also plenty of prep and then a one day assembly...3 door 110 for the win!
Those exposed bores would cause me concern in such a grubby work environment.
That made me anxious the whole time too.
Why mention independence day , and American voice over in UK ?
That confused me too. I was wracking my brain to recall a British Independence Day as almost countries' independence days are from the British. :)
Reminded me of been in afghanistan, when our team of locally employed civilians could change a chassis on a wmik in 4 hours, air lines and flip flops everywhere lol.
What model was that black all glass Land Rover on the hoist?
Wheels original defender rims?, also what size tires?
The wheels are zero off set wolfs, tyres are 265 75 16 bfg ko2.
