This light stand is kinda not sturdy enough because the light and soft box are so large; the whole thing can tip over easily. But it's what I use! 😆 Or you can perhaps find another light stand that is rated to hold more weight. Or just put something heavy (like sandbags) onto the bottom to lower the center of gravity.

I thought the nipple part was the most obvious, and least likely to fool P&T, but maybe they saw something that proves that it couldn't have been done they way I think it was done.
For the salt part, I have one theory that perhaps it's not actually salt, but some other white powder with the necessary physical properties to allow the trick to work. Specifically, something more slippery than salt, and perhaps that can be ground into a finer powder than salt usually is. The first thing I would have thought Penn would have said, would have been to ask if it was real salt. Or in typical Teller fashion, to go up and taste the salt to see if it was really salt.
Having said that, it still would not explain the entire trick, only the way the salt can keep pouring continuously and so smoothly. I am reminded of the "Rain Maker" trick that uses bowls of water instead of salt.
I remember a longer version of that Aesop's Fable, involving a giraffe and a pig. While the lion is afraid of the cock's crow, and the elephant is afraid of the buzzing gnat, the giraffe is afraid of spilling salt all over, and the pig is afraid of one of his nipples being removed. It just goes to show that we don't have to be ashamed of our little fears and neuroses, because everyone has them, even if they're not the same as yours.
Jason Parker that was hilarious 😂
@J. Smith aqqa
I hope you leave the interview long form. editing really ain't the way anymore. throw it out there like a video podcast situation, we want to hear the inside baseball stuff
Awesome performance by Mario. I didn't know of him so I am excited to go watch more of his stuff. Thanks Jason, great video as always. I like how much you enjoyed the performance and the comedy.
That's how much salt my 6 year old would use on her food if I didn't supervise.
And me l'm 60 😢😰
That's how much salt you see when you play r6.
@@arizonaranger4843 or dota or lol or bdo or csgo or literally any other multiplayer game with a bit of competitive gameplay. Salt is our essence.
One of the best acts on Fool Us ever, no doubt!
Almost as magical as how easy it is to learn how to pass the system design interview ;)
Hey you ! go back to your JS XD
Hey algorithms man you’re not supposed to be here 😅
Wow, you surprised me that ur a magic fan, i have been watching ur vedios and ur always dealing with algorithms and data structure and i wanna be like you, i am also a programmer!
im pretty sure he covered his nipple withe the jacket
I love how Mario acts just as surprised as the audience.
This and his rotating cigarette routine are among my memorable favourites of all time.
That's the trick I know him from! It's been bugging me and I couldn't figure out where I had seen him before, but that's the one. Thanks!
He is as skilled as he is humble
His "rolling a joint" one (whatever it's called) is pretty cool, too.
How lucky we are in Spain with this many good magicians

@@Erikcartman1337 card magic? Yeah, even Penn said it, now, when it comes to magic in general, the U.S (Las Vegas)
I think only one on fool us didn't have awesome stage presence also. Quite the joy.
My favourite thing about his performance is that the “climax” is nothing. It’s a beautiful moment.
The nipple was such an easy trick but totally unanticipated. Requires a hairless chest for best effect. Perhaps Penn and Teller called it on the nipple trick because they were really fooled by the salt. Brilliant performance.
I think they called it on the nipple trick because it acts as a setup trick to show there were no salt bags of any kind around his body so he must have hidden those bags somewhere and they have no idea where.
Yeah I agree that you have to have a hairless and swimmers build. Because if you have extra weight on you or you have pecks I think it would be easy to tell.
He just covered it up with his fingers, yeah?
I didn’t notice it the first two times but then showed it to my family later and I think I noticed it…
@@thelorddrinianyeah, it’s just really slick hand placement. That being said, it’s REALLY slick hand placement
The guy who going to clean up the stage is going to be pissed!
Oh no, not the salt guy again 😑😂
They have salsa lessons same stage afterwards
Get a Dyson done 😂
Your picture fits the comment perfectly 🤣🤣🤣
I thought this was a beautiful variation on the Sorcerer's Apprentice!
We we're fooled by a nipple, everybody who's a man share the same sentiment 😹😹
LOL
Its easy, if you look close enough he's carrying a pocket universe where only salt is present.
it's not just about how he did the trick, it's about how he deliver it to the audience.
The easiest trick can be so entertaining with an amazing acting.
I love magic acts where you get so encapsulated in what's going on that it makes you forget that he's performing magic, so at the end you have to think back and say "Wait....where *did* all of that salt come from?!?!?" Stupendous performance. I'm glad the nipple got them, because it was so sudden and unexpected and just bizarre XD
Edit: Also, the dude just seemed so humble and like he enjoyed old school magic. There were no big reveals or epic soundtracks or even big props. It's literally like he combined the art of magic with the art of miming and it was glorious.
They werent fooled by the nipple. Litterally everyone knows how he did that and they just wanted him to perform with them because he's funny and would bring in money.
He lift the nipple by his right hand when he remove the nipple
Then he release and hide by left hand and show as it reappear
Of course he did but here they're probably talking about fact that Mario showed there were no salt bags under his shirt.
Dude I don't know if you've been told this or where you got the idea from, but the fact that in certain moments you look at the camera and convey your thoughts without saying a word, makes these videos that much better.
its like watching TV or a movie with a friend that's already seen it and they keep looking at you for your reaction.
Mario is one of the most entertaining and creative humans ..
I really appreciate the fact that, despite they (maybe) weren't fooled, they gave him the trophy because they simply enjoyed themselves, took pleasure in his show, and want to show him their appreciation. Lovely and honest guys.
Good to see mario lopez back after saved by the bell stopped making new shows
Regarding the nipple, my guess is that sometimes, you have to "push things a side, level up a notch, and just take thing to another level, and hold on very tight when you finally reach that kind of elevation" (I hope this makes some kind of sence, I tryd my best to translate it from Swedish) ☺
So your theory is pliable loose skin he slides up/down GOOD THEORY
@@johnjohn-cs9eu Yeh, You can say I just _stretched_ my guess to be as wide as possible. ;)
Thanks btw =)
It is exactly that
I've always been a huge fan of Mario, he's so amazing, and absolutely hilarious. Glad he was able to fool Penn and Teller
Nice magic trick Captain Jack Sparrow :)
This guy was amazing but I am really shocked how everyone got fooled by the nipple trick, he just lift up his skin.
Love your videos bro. Keep them coming man
Glad you like them!
Nipple trick: he just lifts his skin, his nipple is under his left hand's fingertips. Gotta be shaved to do it.
That's the most obvious one
@@charlesflores7621 It's the most obvious one if you rewatch it and go frame by frame. They can't do that. The only reason that it's hard to fool Penn and Teller is because of their deep knowledge of magic tricks, not because of their insane perception. If you come up with a very unique, original or wierd trick, it's very probably that you will fool them, even if it's "obvious".
@@eudald1229 I agree
You should keep on reacting to Shawn Farquhar reacting to magician reacts to Shawn Farquhar reacting to magician reacts to Shawn Farquhar on Penn and teller for the third time.
I really had a good time watching him. That's what magic should be about.
Didn't notice the tears in Teller's eyes during their answer?!
0:28 That was very smooth, even at 0.25 seed
This was a very enjoyable performance to watch. It was like watching a cartoon in life if I may say.
For me, Shawn Farquhar on P&T (all 3 performances) was my favourite one because his energy makes me laugh but also bring me joy .
Jason, I like your intro with the marker pen, that make me smile again. Also, your disappearance at the end close the loop very well.
So great work, keep it up!
I just watched this performance earlier and was so happy when I saw the thumbnail!! Mario Lopez is such a legend. That camera angle when it shows that he doesn’t have a tube or anything going down is arm is such an awesome kicker. As far as the salt shaker cap flying off, my only guess is that it’s a very repelling trick but he performs it with a very magnetic personality.
For the salt shaker.. slow the vid down and watch again. His powerful pointer probably participated predominately.
@@NewHunterMatt exactly , looks like a quick snapper ;)
Subtle.
Mario is one of those guys that have those faces the moment you see those guys instantly you know hes a total king.
When he smiles you MUST smile. Its a damn magic in itself. Eddie Marcus is another example from magic circle.
PS. Marios instagram is a GOLD MINE of ideas primarely, but also such smooh performances, GREAT ACTING, and the feeling of randomness, impromptu tricks he has is un-paralleled.
Every video of his looks like he tought of that on the spot. Thats a skill.
Also, his coin routine on istagram with that, how its called, the little "racket" you kill flyes with, is one of the most magical things I saw in a long, long time.
LOVE THIS GUY!
Been a while since a Spanish magician has floored Penn & Teller so much with their magic. It was funny and entertaining to watch.
Not sure if I am captain obvious here.. and for sure I have no idea about magic..
My guesses for the loads in random order are:
The magic wand was 1-2 loads (I think he flipped it at some point)
He put and picked the magic wand in and from his back pocket probably another load
When he put his hand into his front pocket was another load (pretending he was trying to stop the salty pee)
When he "dusts-off" his pants from the salt is another load with his other hand..
The rest are obvious.. loads under his clothes and inside the woolen bag..
Mario Lopez just took the art to a whole new level! He is so natural even though he has trouble with the language. He is so good!
AESOP: Never believe that a Giant conglomerate / castle / country is impenetrable: it always has its weak spot
Really? That nipple trick was way too easy. Idk how they missed that. They must have been joking......
Yeah that was way too obvious.
No. I think that they probably knew how he did the nipple and most everything else and that he was just so damn good and they wanted him in the show that they said that the nipple thing fooled them so that they could get him in the show.
The salt pour is a direct skill. He loads up a bunch of salt and can subtly adjust his fingers to control when it's going out. The salt loads are done using regular sleight of hand tricks but it requires a ridiculous amount of skill to be able to do them without salt going everywhere when you do the load giving away the technique.
when he reaches into his pocket for the salty pee pee part, he grabs a big handful of salt. That's how he resupplied
But what we can't figure out is how he was able to go that long before hand without resupplying
@@Wiggles131 If that's the case, I assume he 'resupplies' a few times before that point. For example, doesn't he also put his hand behind his back and into his pocket? Also, what about out of the wand? What about also something I think I saw slightly for a moment behind his left hand earlier. Go back and see for yourself at 6:29. I think a few moments before this he reaches into his front shirt pocket to resupply (maybe the salt is in a small bag that he opens, I don't know because I don't know anything about magic, so this is just my guess from seeing the video). He is insanely good, though.
I'm not a magician but is the nipple trick a small bandage????
I would say the vanishing nipple and the salt coming out of his left hand are related. You could not see a tube on his arm or his nipple. My guess is his whole arm is treated with a natural looking rubber and so is his chest.
He simply uses his hand to lift his nipple up. As for the salt, that's a different trick.
Mario is so incredible. His humor and wonderful acts sometimes overshadow just how perfect his techniques are. Top tier performer and magician.
Definitely on my top 10 magic acts of all time very funny
He's clever _Salsa Magic?_

This guy was amazing and funny. 😊😊😊
I loved this act SO MUCH. So so great. And it didn’t hurt that this act featured a audience reaction shot of my friends Emma and Lucas, and my wife Laura in audience!
I loved the act too but my least favorite part was seeing Emma, Lucas and Laura in the audience. 😂🤣😂

Adrian Kalitka 💀💀💀
Adrian Kalitka harsh but fair!
Don't try it at home but go out in public and give it a shot. Get it give it a shot
Hands down, funniest magic act I have seen in years; I was gasping for breath after a while because it was so funny and it just did not stop.
Any Spanish magician who doesn't imitate Tamariz (chanchanchaaan, tarararaaan and all that crap) is a winner in my book. And this guy is genuinely fabulous and likeable
Peru the land of magic taught him something
This is one of my favorite performances I've seen. Funny, unexpected, keeps you laughing and also amazed at the salt pour, endearing guy.
Love from india❤🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
google: how to make my nipper dissappear
Entertaining to watch and his precision is on point. Great magician. However, I was STUNNED it fooled Penn & Teller (not the first time, the skateboarding team comes to mind). It took literally 3 minutes of practice for me to replicate the nipple trick. I'm sure it obviously doesn't look as good, plus I would need to shave, but point is (much like the Allison arm in box trick) it's a very simple trick.
And the salt trick, and its variations, have been done dozens of times by Carbonaro. He goes a step further and does it with liquids! Not trying to put the two magicians in competition, merely pointing out this trick has been in the public eye for awhile, so I am surprised Penn and Teller haven't figured it out yet...
Happy to see Mario on here after many people recommending him! Loved the outcome... now it's Alex Boyer and Chris Ramsay's turn to get on fool us along with Jason!
I thought he was already on with spidey
@alphadawn2015 lennon yeah I saw the spider video and did not notice it was a different show
I loved him. Just so casually amazing and funny.
His Instagram is removed 🙄
I was waiting for this... 😊
Hope you enjoyed it!
He is amazing! It's like watching modern vaudeville! Thank you for this one, Jason! I've never heard of him
one of the best!! And yes, he makes you believe magic is a real thing!!excellent performance!!
Oh I get it.
"Not code talk" and "beating a dead horse" actually was a clever way of doing code talk.
Okay, I am only joking. I know it wasn't code words, but just for fun...
.
(Warning, this is morbid.)
.
When you are "NOT" "beating the dead horse" anymore,
eventually there will be "flies"
which have "wings"
that allow them to "fly away" from the dead horse and
eventually make their way to a "beach" which has "salt" water
Meaning, the salt flew into this hand from the beach.
OR
If as soon as you are done beating the dead horse,
you cover the dead horse in a mountain of salt,
you won't get flies,
making the trick he did...
MAGIC!
Fusion Developer reading this gave me a head ache.
This is what returning from the beach is like
Thanks for the consistency during this hard time. You're a legend dude!
Thanks Thomas!! :)
In following your thought of a tube running down his arm. Could he be wearing a full sleeve, which hides this tube. I've seen many 'full sleeves' which are made to look like tattoos. Perhaps this one is made to 'cover tattoos' for people. And that wrist band hides the end of it. He could also have used the same material to produce the nipple effect, if it was a close enough match. It really is only a quick nip flash.
Nah, you can see him simply pulling up the nipple with his left hand. Surprised me that P&T didn't notice that.
Honestly, I think this is the best season of Fool Us. So many great performances. Think it really goes back to what Penn said during the Wes Barker, I think, appearance where the real goal of this show isn't necessarily the trophy, but to showcase the best performance possible.
the nipple was a paid actor
At least Penn wasn't salty 🤣

Great Sharpie up the nostril trick but l had to look away as l had a C19 test (negative) and painful AND this reminded me of it.
(BTW C19 is supposed to be a blood virus why are they sticking utensils in noses?)
The best fool us yes
Instructions unclear. Sharpie lodged in brain.
You could see the fake thumbs likely filled with salt. He moved to the side several times to swap out an empty thumb for a full one. Also, likely, the wand had salt in it and a hole to leak out. Don't get how they were fooled by the nipple. This is a trick I learned as a kid. It's just pulling your skin up and holding it near your armpit, then you pinch a spot where the nipple would typically look like it should be to make a red spot. Finally, he grabbed a lot of salt already in his pocket and poured salt out of it through his zipper. This also gave him a considerable reserve towards the end.
I'm over here using slow-mo on a guy's nipple and still don't know. It looks like his offhand places something on top of it, but nothing looks like it gets removed .... So IDK if anything got placed actually.
This was even funnier and more fun re-watching this.
Tried the sharpie trick. Got it in just fine. Couldn't figure out how to get it out but the nice doctor at the ER helped me with that. She says that it probably won't protect me from Covid either ☹.
Don't put marbles in your nose.
Put them in there.
Do not put them in there.
hahah... welp.... maybe it will help with congestion at least! :)

That nipple trick must be a military thing cause my uncle dad marcel Franklin page jr did that 1970s 1980s days
That was the saltiest trick I ever saw!
Who knows why there is always 1 fooler per show? Something fishy going on here. If it doesn't it must be 1, 2, 3 or maybe none foolers sometimes, but if there is only one performance left it is going to be a fooler 100% if there weren't one before.

Classic mission impossible tv show series episodes they use a tube plus holliw base tables and hilagraks mirrors and radio controls que ball lots of face mask and time misdirection revolving platforms
I know exactly how he does it
First he taking salt from jacket
Then he take from that cap
Then he take from back pocket
While salt coming from zip area he taking salt from frenght pocket
And that salt coming from shoe is too easy to find already he filled salt in shoe and close with something he opened it IT CLEARLY SEEN IN VIDIEO
Hi Jason, Check out "Astounding Magician Andrew Kelly" on theEllenshow. It Is Totally Amazing.
I keep on going back to watch some of your older videos! Dang it! I think I wrote this to you before, but I'm willing to share it again. I have two axioms in life:
1) Don't sweat the small stuff.
2) Everything is small stuff.
I feel like I wrote that to you somewhere else, but never mind, that's just more small stuff.
Great performance indeed! funny individual style and top stage precence...
But lets be honest, the show isn´t really about who can fool p&T (they were not, whether salt or nipple)..
It´s more like p&T casting beautiful, sympatic and skilled performances, fitting their las vegas show and it doesn´t matter if they fool them or not.
If they fit, like well known and loved cig routine lopez or idk piff, lim it´s enough to say wow we don´t know how your nipple vanish party trick works, you fooled us! Magicians coming up with really new methods or hundreds of possible outs how it´s done, may fool them truely, but don´t matter in the end if their style isn´t there.
He is kidding that he could not figure out the nipple right? That was the simplest thing to do . He just pulls and stretches' his skin higher with the other hand..
Funny, entertaining and surprising. Exactly what I’m looking for in magic
Strange things are happening in da jungle when you are alone. What IF nipple vanishing is not a trick? Was it a pure magic? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Comment me below if you want to leave a comment
Just like the nipple trick, It's probably quite easy to make very convincing looking "skin" thats covering up a tube. And the tube can be TINY, it's tiny little grains of salt. I also imagine there's some sort of surgery that could literally give him salt tubes in his body that he could theoretically control with his own muscles
Very concerned about the off-label use of a Sharpie... I'm not sure about COVID, but it will probably clear out your sinuses. Thanks for the great post, as usual!
Mario is a very talented magician that's for sure, but I think it's not about the tubes in the arms but if you look closely you can see him pickin which I think may be some " salt bags " from his pockets, check it! btw your channel is great, how are you doing with your audition in FU? Greetings from Barcelona ^^
I was disappointed with Penn and Teller. I noticed the slight of hand on the nipple trick after a second viewing and I'm not even an amateur magician. Penn and Teller, with their professionally trained eyes, should have either noticed this simple slight right away or at least have been able to figure it out with ease. This leads me to believe that ulterior motives may be taking part in their decisions of who fools them.
Granted, Mario is an excellent and entertaining magician who's very polished. None-the-less, I think that his salt trick, which is complicated, should have allotted him the trophy, not a simple slight of hand (or should I say shirt... or did I just give it away. 🤨)
@Jason Parker You should "upgrade" this "clear the nose"-tip and do it with some dish brush or even toilet brush to really give that "fight back" option for us to really defeat covid 😂.
That is one of the FUNNIEST performances that I've ever seen on Fool us. He's right up there with Piff the Magic Dragon!!! 😎😎😎
