    Rayburn continues being confused about David Bowie after clearly hearing an explanation. I'm wondering if this was pandering to what the show identified as its audience.

    Schnick schnack in german means nonsens, not important and blank means in german leer(empty)!

      I'm German. You can translate "Schnickschnack" with "nonsense". But the meaning is actually "things you don't need" or "unnecessary things". In the 90s there was a reboot. They called it "Punkt Punkt Punkt" ("...."). That means the same like "blank" or "fill in".

      There is a gernan word "blank" (pronounciation blunk). The meaning is leer (empty). It means empty pockets or no money.

      At that time the show was called "Schnickschnack". In the 90's there was a reboot called "Punkt Punkt Punkt". That means the same like "blank". We make 3 (or more) points what means fill in.

    Pronunciation was better than usual for Americans, but Richard still didn't get Fräulein (froy-line). Apparently the Brits are no better than Americans when trying to pronounce German words.

      For german people it sounds funny. And it was a funny show. In the 90s there was a reboot. They called it "Punkt Punkt Punkt". That means the same like "blank" or "fill in". The celebrities were/are very famous in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Some of them also were on international movies.
