    Very happy for you!
I knew you would be drawn there when I saw Dale playing at the park with his shoes off! Very few places where that is safe and you once told a story about your own child hood and taking shoes off to go into class at school.
So happy for you both! You both are really having a great season in life, constantly upgrading your lives and doing the hard work to make it happen!

I used to say in the past that the Island of Maui 'is the another Philippines...' As decades experience about both locations. Both have similar wonderful climate, but also the another side of flashfloods etc. ..and in case of Maui, also addition of destructive wildfires (as August 8, 2023 proved) The Big Island has its own issues, but a great place ..if can afford to live in such location. Volcanic activity of the Big Island keeps boredom away... Anyway, one of the best locations on this planet ..if can afford local price level...

You will find that all of the islands are unique in what they have to offer. The Big island of Hawaii is probably the cheapest island to rent or own property on, but it's hard to find jobs on that island. I would love to live in Waimea on the Big island, but I couldn't afford a garage to live in in Waimea; it's for the wealthy. The island of Oahu is most like the mainland with all the freeways, highways and traffic. It's super expensive to live on Oahu but it offers the most things to do and there are a ton of job openings. Maui is super expensive to visit. A night in a hotel is easily $400 a night. It's better to rent a good Airbnb. Kauai is also very expensive but it is lush. You will find a lot of Filipino people from the Philippines on most of the main islands. Molokai and Lanai are pretty remote. Lot's of Asian markets on Oahu. Lot's of Filipinos live in Waipahu and Kalihii on the island of Oahu. I'm born and raised on Oahu but my favorite island to visit is Maui. Goodluck

    # 4 Back to our first trip, 1988 - we were going to the Philippines but a group of MUSLIMS ran through the little
airport in Mactan shooting. Since my white skin would stand out we decided to spend a month in Hawaii. Not as
expensive as today, but not cheap either. My wife had a friend that we could use their home for a base for at least 2
weeks. We actually got a real Lei put on by hula ladies.

LoL The blinds operation tutorial was hilarious. I just went through that with my Vietnamese wife. We recently moved to a new house (in Vietnam ) and she couldn't figure out the blinds. 😂😂😂

    # 5 While I was driving around the Big Island, I don't know how I did it but I ended up at the military base.
A little embarrassed but was able to turn around the guard hut and get out of there.
