Great job young man, planning, preparing, and building....your going to have a great time with it and after you use it a couple time you will most likely make some changes to meet your needs...I like the way you utilized the space under the wheel wells.. and the cabinets are awesome. Keep up the great work..awesomeness.....
I really like the solar panel idea. All you need now is some lights for the inside for night and you are set. I'm planning on doing a version of what you did, hopefully soon.
Dude. You're a lucky kid. Wish I had half your advantages when I was your age. Nice work! Keep a good relationship with your parents and building up your construction skills and you should have a good life.
Nice prototype attach it to an ebike and I can travel the state u live in with that, add 100w solar panel to keep the ebike spare batteries charged. That'll be an awesome journey.
Iam Abdul Latheef from India kerala, I appreciate your project and iam thinking to making such caravan, So i need your support for making this, I hope i will get your support.
It took me about 300 dollars, mainly coroplast because I messed it up so much, but it can be done for as little as 100 dollars. It mainly depends on your ingenuity and your carefullness.
Congrats great job I'm trying to built one for a homeless person but need to collapsed in half so at night it can slide out for full size like yours to sleep. Ány recommendation welcome
John Knight actually now that this was mentioned a bench vise is not a pressing tool. Even though it can be used as a manual press, it is nowhere near the right tool for bending pressing compressing or flattening any object. I believe Harbor freight sells a 5 ton press for just a couple hundred bucks and you would use it for an entire lifetime. But in your question No. this is not the proper way to flatten some thing. Nor should it be used but only in case of an emergency situation.. that being said most of people work with the tools they have in order to keep from having to work harder and spend more money to buy the tools that are proper for such usage. I would’ve done the same thing at his age I imagine.
I really want to make this so my daughter can come with me whenever i go biking. I've been watching videos on how to make it but I still don't understand it =(
How waterproof is it? Looks like some pretty good gaps in there, if moisture is an issue by the frame put in more screws till the opening is small enough to silicone it so it is sealed, just a tip! Anyway nice build overall
Hope you’ve applied for a design patent before you aired this video otherwise someone will make big bucks from your idea, something to think about ? as this is a pretty good prototype. 😁👍🏻.x
No, but I am not the one who made it originally. It was Paul Elkins. (go check out his UA-cam channel). I have heard of someone trying to make a business out of it. They sold them for 2k. Thanks!
I see that you don’t take criticism well based on your comments. Even though you did a good job for someone your age and something to be proud of there are plenty of issues that could become a better part of the project. Always room for improvement even on the space shuttles that cost billions. So when people stop by they’re not trying to bash your project they’re trying to help in their own way. All we had to say is thank you very much and I appreciate your comment. If you go into detail about why you don’t do anything else to it or why you don’t need to waterproof it add more solar, add more sturdiness add more insulation add more lights add more hazard reflectors... then it comes across to us as cocky arrogant and pompous . You’re far too young to have someone consider you pompous. Lol All in all a great project and a great video and also great information about leading others to Paul Elkins website and his plans. He is a genius. Thank you again for the walk-through with a great video, great instruction and great entertainment!
Great looking camper!! I really like the nose on yours. It's like a small steeple. Well done.
👌🏻
I love these little bike campers, there is others out there too. I think it is awesome. Paul Elkins, is awesome designer as well

Check out this video, ua-cam.com/video/7C1UVVkPgTA/v-deo.html, it is a folding shelter by Paul Elkins, the same guy who made the first bike camper.
That thing you did with the vice on the tubing was really clever - would never have thought of that. Is that normally how people do it?
I think so. I just tried something and it worked.

It is pretty waterproof, but a little water won't hurt anything but what is inside the trailer, and I don't think a little water hurt anything. Thanks
Cool bro
