      Thanks man! Yeah BM3 is super smooth but I don’t have anything to compare it to bc I haven’t driven any other types of tunes

      Is it best to do it with everything else or wait? I'm at 56,000 but about to start upgrading.

      It’s a tough call. I never had any issues and ran a tune for 2 years and ran up to 76k miles before trading it in

      It’s definitely a risk for the older cars with the older guides. I was willing to take the risk and didn’t have any issues 🤷🏻‍♂️. I didn’t trash my car either. Did a few fun pulls here and there, but def didn’t beat up on it constantly

      @@skrrtproductions 132k no symptoms , just decided to get it done, I don’t beat on my car either 2013. Guides were in the pan.

      I can’t say forsure lol, but that’s what I did and car was fine for 20k miles before I got rid of it

      Ok because I’m planning on modding it after I get it for my first car in a couple of months my dad has owned many BMWs so I know maintenance and the BMW stuff

    Great video, so the stage 1 mod requires no upgrades? Just buy it and follow the steps in the video, and then according to the website I will have 16 percent more horsepower and 20 percent more torque? If thats the case I will definitely consider buying this because that is big power upgrade for 600 bucks.

    Great video man, just curious. So it’s recommended to increase the distance of the spark plugs slightly for cooling gains? Just new to the platform

    Nice video bro how’s the car holding up ? Any issues since then ? I’m considering going full bolt on and stage 1 tune as well

      I ended up trading it in but never had any issues. Main thing to watch out for is timing chain issue on 2012-2015 models

    Hi. Good review. Thinking of getting BM3 for my f30 320i and unleash those N20 inside 😀. Btw, do you know if BM3 also available for ActiveHybrid 5? Not seeing it in their website.

      Thanks! Haha yeah the N20 is a solid engine despite a few weak points (as with any car). I’m not sure you should email protuning freaks about that

    Dumb question, when you flash different octanes that means you have to use different gas correct?

      Correct! Should always use 93 octane regardless unless you live in a state that only has 91 as the highest octane

      @@projectinfamous24 forsure, Bootmod3 has 91 octane tunes as well. Idle may be a bit rougher but you shouldn’t have any major issues. You can also look into getting an octane booster (additive) but idk if you want to get that technical haha

      Yup, always. Unless you’re on west coast and have 91 at best

      I feel you. Makes no difference to me, I'm just running stage 1 anyways. I can feel the difference. Plus I can data log everything else on my own.

      Not sure exactly, but my friend that dyno’d his was stage 2 and put down about 275 whp so I’d assume stage 1 is like 250 to the wheels? Not sure on exact number, but way more fun to drive and feels better in lower gears

      If you want more power I don’t see why not. The intercooler is good but you should probably get a charge pipe too if you’re pushing more boost. Up to you man. Ive seen plenty of examples of tuned n20/n26 at higher miles. Just gotta keep on top of maintenance

    So, 170k miles on a n20 f31 is a bad idea? I have New turbo and timing chain.

      Well since you have a new turbo and timing chain you can if you want with lowered risk. Other items to look out for and maybe have replaced soon are valve cover gasket, injectors, oil filter housing gasket, & HPFP. All depends on how long you plan to keep the car and if the tune and extra mods will be worth it $$ wise. Definitely makes the car more fun lol

    Hey bud I have a bmw 428i x drive , but I did a AWE quad exhaust w/ mid down pipe and changed the charge pipe. Getting my intake done soon getting the Bootmod3 you think I can get over 350 HP?

      You’ll prob be pushing 270-280whp. Best test is a dyno though!

      @@williegonzalez1692 yeah it’s kind of underwhelming with all of the mods but the car is still a great daily with more power and torque than most cars on the road

      😂😂🤦🏻‍♂️ it’s still not super common. I know more people that have ran these tunes on n20’s than people who have had a timing chain issue. Personal risk tolerance 🤷🏻‍♂️
