Lovely photo!! Yes I love that Alan Jackson song. When. My husband and I met in grade 8. It reminds me so much of us growing together through school years. Means more now that he has passed. I love stories of couples who are high school sweethearts, so sweet.
Thank you! Sadly, one of my favorite high school teachers was killed while gathering cattle. They played this song at his celebration of life and it really struck something deep inside. The words are beautiful and powerful.
@Crafty Concepts with Erin That is very sad 😔 . I'm so sorry for your loss. Our teachers are like our parents. They care for us and form an important part of our lives. May he rest in peace 🙏.
Love it!!! And, yes, I cut my photos with the fancy scissors, and I permed my hair. When the kids were little and “Remember When “ came on the radio, they knew Mama was going to be singing and crying! We danced to it at our daughter’s wedding! And I plan to use the lyrics in our anniversary album.
I love this Greta, it is the perfect song and all the more special for you having danced to it at your daughter's wedding. It is a tear jerker and you simply must sing along.
This is a layout I am going to definitely use--less that six minutes into the video I was captivated by the black frame with white AND the use of the triangles for the corners is what I really like [the black and white combo]. So many possibilities for use with framing family photos--and add a splash of the embellishments. Thank you
Such a fun layout, love the bright colors with the black and white papers❤ I love putting pictures together from different points in life. I’ve also done layouts with the same event, but different generations. It’s so fun to see these in one place, this layout was a perfect way to showcase that❤
Thank you! Generation photos are fun to see all one one layout. I enjoyed digging up some of these older photos. Of course I was distracted and took a walk down memory lane as I went through the big box of pictures 😂
I love this collection and can’t wait to dig into it! I am almost finished with the card workshop. I love how you and your hubby were high school sweethearts! So sweet!
The black and white paper is beautiful and offers so many possibilities. Wonderful layout and pictures. I tend to stamp my kids and grandchild, but not many of myself or my husband. Definitely need to work on it .
Thank you! I think that is typical for most of us, kids and grandkids dominate the albums because they are our favorite subjects. I do encourage you to tell your story too!
Thank you for the tips regarding the scissors, glue and removing some of the sticky on your arm. Also the Avery label tips, awesome as always! Wonderful layout!!!!
Such a special layout that your boys will enjoy in years to come. Love the design and the way you put the pictures on your banner. You always add so many special details to your creations!❣️
I love the layout design. Very functional as well as a nice overall style that can be manipulated to adapt for whatever subject matter is being scrapbooked in a layout. I am going to try this design out in a travelers notebook standard size which already creates the square/ Thanks for sharing your lovely idea!
Remember When is very sentimental for us too. We got to see Alan Jackson in concert 9-11-21 in Des Moines. I videoed that particular song and put the QR code on my layout.
Amazing as always! You've given me a lot of new tips, thanks Erin! How's this for coincidence: I'm currently scrapbooking me and my husbands first years together and up pops your video. I love the 3 photos through the years idea! Lots of love from South Africa 🇿🇦
Lady, you haven't changed a bit!!! ..... great layout!!! My husband and I too are high school sweethearts--- 45 years!!!! sort of hard to believe sometimes........
I paper piece and have for years (for customers) and now that im married and need to make my own scrapbooks i dont know where to start for layouts as that is where im lost. I love this layout
Paper piecing is very cool! I’ve seen some stunning works of art. Yes scrapbooking can be a bit overwhelming at first. I like to find an inspiration layout and work with a paper collection. That is way easier than standing in the paper aisle at the craft store trying to select papers to work together.
What a beautiful page. Good idea to make the letters silver. They really pop. Initially I wondered about colouring a few of the flowers in the black & white paper (not all, just spotlighting a few of the flowers) and in retrospect, you were right not to.
Thank you Tania, I really did like the finished look of the silver letters. I do think your idea to color a few areas would look good too. That is a fun technique.
Hi Erin, Thanks for sharing your story and layout. Great idea using the label shipping paper to write your journal in. Question: Do you need to use a special Microsoft words format to print those on the shipping paper?
Great question. I open up a word document, I have a Mac so it's called Pages but basically the same, and insert a text box. The text box allows me to size the journaling to fit the space on my layout. I set the printer setting to best quality and change the media to Photo Paper semi gloss. You do need to give it a moment to dry so it doesn't smear. I was running it through as plain white paper in the beginning but the words are a bit sharper now that I changed the setting.
Hi Erin, I have a question about the clear labels. I do love them too, but do you wait until you have a full sheet of journaling to do before printing or do you have a way to print your journaling and then still be able to feed the remaining sheet through the printer??? I hope that makes sense. Love your channel.
Hello Karen, yes that does make sense. First I use a text box in a word document so I can control the size and shape of my journaling. I do not fill out the 8.5 x 11 sheet with multiple journaling blocks at once. As the sheet gets smaller I trim it down into smaller pieces. My printer will take a sheet all the way down to 3.5 x 5. There is some waste but very little.
I can definitely help you with that. There are benefits to both, as a Maker you receive a 25% base discount on product, access to the Maker's only Facebook page with lots of helpful and inspiring ideas, and you can see and order from the new catalogs 1 month prior to the public. There are also fun catalog launch events you can participate in virtually. As a VIP you get a 15% discount (you earn 15% back in CTMH cash to use on future purchases) and you can get the Stamp of the month free with an order of $50 or more. Makers have to pay the $5 for the stamp of the month. There are no minimums as a VIP, you buy what you like when you like and you can save up your ctmh cash or spend it right away. As a Maker you have to reach $300 in sales per quarter, so $100 a month. You can see the VIP details here and please let me know if you have any other questions erinjacobson.closetomyheart.com/ctmh/vip.aspx

Hello Suzie, I created this as a single page layout. My friend jayma turned it into a double by replicating this page. The banners and photos swooped across both pages.
Why when people say the truth is “ incredibly rude”? You are good in what you do and your voice is nice and clear, that’s why I subscribed to your channel. If you search other utubers they actually had to change a little cuz the comments of people saying either the music was to loud to noisy or half or the video was waisted with introductions. The viewers improved drastically . I’m sorry I didn’t mean to be rude. I apologize , I was giving you a suggestion that’s all
There is constructive criticism and there is rude. Yours fell under rude, so if you don’t mean it that way, then think about how you’d want someone talking to you.
I do appreciate constructive criticism, it can be very beneficial in helping us to learn and grow. I believe it was your use of the all caps which implies an elevated tone and your choice of the word "annoying". Having a good pace is key but whatever it may be I have learned it will be too fast for some and too slow for others. I am glad you enjoy the videos otherwise 😊
I love layout and how you used 6x6 paper ❣️
Lovely photo!! Yes I love that Alan Jackson song. When. My husband and I met in grade 8. It reminds me so much of us growing together through school years. Means more now that he has passed. I love stories of couples who are high school sweethearts, so sweet.
Thank you Cindy. I am sorry to hear your husband passed away. Like you said, I can imagine the song means even more now.
I would never have thought of using my multitude of 6x6 papers on my 12x12 layouts. Thanks for the inspiration!
You are so welcome, I am glad you were inspired.
Beautiful, beautiful, and beautiful! Yes, I also love that song 🥰!
Thank you! Sadly, one of my favorite high school teachers was killed while gathering cattle. They played this song at his celebration of life and it really struck something deep inside. The words are beautiful and powerful.

Thank you! I was drawn to the framing also and will definitely use the idea again. I am so glad you were inspired.
I love that blue. Absolutely beautiful. Of course, it all is, but I have blue envy!
Thank you so much!
I love the layout with 3 different times in your past. It’s great to show your timeline like this.
Thank you Kati, I really loved the inspiration layout from the workshop and was on a mission to find the right pics.
Love this... and love Remember When by Alan Jackson (..and A Woman's Love, too). Fun pics of you and your hubby.
Thank you and yes, that is a great song too!
Such a fun layout, love the bright colors with the black and white papers❤ I love putting pictures together from different points in life. I’ve also done layouts with the same event, but different generations. It’s so fun to see these in one place, this layout was a perfect way to showcase that❤

I love how you and your hubby were high school sweethearts! So sweet!
The card workshop is so good!
I bought this workshop and am in the middle of putting this layout together. I followed it exactly to the t and it turned out great!!!
It is a great layout! I really loved it and was happy to have found photos to work.
Thank you much for clearing that up about the Avery labels. Beautiful layout, I appreciate you sharing.
You are so welcome!
That’s a cute page
Thank you for the tips regarding the scissors, glue and removing some of the sticky on your arm. Also the Avery label tips, awesome as always! Wonderful layout!!!!
Glad it was helpful! The antistatic powder tool works great to remove adhesive as well.
Lol, I still have a spinning thing with all those scissors. My 5 grand daughters love using them in their scrapbooks
Haha, they are so fun to use!
Absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, I loved this layout and didn't need to change a thing from the original design.
This is my most favourite layout of yours EVER. I want to recreate this IMMEDIATELY!
Thank you Cindy! I loved this design too and felt the same, I had to bring it to life with my own photos. I’m so glad you are inspired!
I love watching your videos. You are so talented and your layouts are beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much Vicky, you are so kind!
Such a special layout that your boys will enjoy in years to come. Love the design and the way you put the pictures on your banner.
You always add so many special details to your creations!❣️
Thank you, it is fun to see photos from different years together on a layout.
I love the layout design. Very functional as well as a nice overall style that can be manipulated to adapt for whatever subject matter is being scrapbooked in a layout. Thank you! This will make a wonderful travelers notebook layout.
I love all your videos and sorry about CTMH going under. You are very talented.
Remember When is very sentimental for us too. We got to see Alan Jackson in concert 9-11-21 in Des Moines. I videoed that particular song and put the QR code on my layout.
It is such a special song with powerful lyrics. How fun to have seen him in concert and great idea to attach the QR code!
Beautiful
Thank you Marsha! I loved mixing the bright colors with black and white on this one.
What a beautiful and special layout!
Thank you so much ☺️
Beautiful page! I think this is probably my favorite that you've done, although I love all of your work. ❤️ 👍
Thank you Jenifer, there is something visually striking about the black and white mixed with the bold bright colors. I am glad you like it.
Beautiful layout! And a fantastic song, too! Love how you put it all together!
Thank you! After I stamped Remember When, the song was on repeat in my head for days. I thought the lyrics were perfect for the layout.
I love this layout- and I do know Alan Jackson’s Remember When song. ❤
Thank you and I agree, that song is ❤️!
Fabulous, learned some tips, thankyou!
That is wonderful and I am glad it was helpful!
Just love it

Wonderful layout!! Very special pictures. Well thought out and designed!!
Thank you so much! I can't take credit for this design but I loved it so much as is I had to recreate it.
I paper piece and have for years (for customers) and now that im married and need to make my own scrapbooks i dont know where to start for layouts as that is where im lost. I love this layout

Thank you, it is so good! It is very rare I create a layout exactly as designed but this one was perfect as is.
Love this, Erin!
Thank you so much Terryl, I always appreciate seeing your name in the comments.

Super cute page:)
Thanks so much Barbara!
Thanks for the label tips. I thought because of shortages the clear was not available. Silly me. Your page is great. Thanks.
You are so welcome!
It looks lovely but when I watched you putting on the two sprigs, suddenly it became a face with two bushy eyebrows & I started chuckling!! 😄
Lol, Louise! Now I can’t unsee that 😂
@@CraftyConceptswithErin Sorry about that... 🤣🤣🤣
I need to rewatch this video to also see that.
Love this❤
Thank you ☺️
Hi Erin, Thanks for sharing your story and layout. Great idea using the label shipping paper to write your journal in. Question: Do you need to use a special Microsoft words format to print those on the shipping paper?

Is this bundle with cardstock still available? I couldn’t find it but may have over looked it
Wow so beautiful. But difficult to do.
Thank you, you can do it! 😃
Did you do a companion page for this? It sounds like you may have shown it but video cut it out. I would like to see it if possible. Thx
Hello Suzie, I created this as a single page layout. My friend jayma turned it into a double by replicating this page. The banners and photos swooped across both pages.
Are the Avery labels acid free?
That is a great question, yes they are. I looked it up and they claim to be acid free.
😅 had to put mute

😅 love the project
BUT PLEASE STOP TALKING CONTINUOSLY.
Explain and do it. A pause every step u take would make your video less annoying
Then don’t watch it. Or mute it, but no need for an incredibly rude and unnecessary comment. No, TWO of them. 🙄🙄🙄
Bellissimo LO, penso di rifarlo proprio :)
Thank you, that is wonderful!
