that's a really good demonstration! I'm so glad I found one that doesn't have a lot of chatter in the back-ground; it's so interesting to hear these characteristic sounds of a craft. Thanks for making this!
Sorry, I am planning on adding some more, I just haven't had the time or the health. Keep checking back. There's lots more on my website jackie@jackiebush.co.uk
Very helpful; I'm just looking into warp-weighted weaving. May I ask how heavy your weights are and the maker of your tapestry fork? Blessings and many thanks.
Hi, Glad it was of some help. My weights are approximately 250 grams each but I also have a set of half this weight. The weaving fork I made myself from some locally sourced walnut.
@@diaryofasaxonweaver Thank you so much for your very kind reply. I'm fascinated with warp-weighted weaving--still researching, trying to learn how to tie on the warp and make the heddles, etc. Your video is very helpful and, again, most sincere thanks.
Hi Samuel, This was originally made for me by a very good friend, but I have adapted it over time, and projects, so that it weaves and works better for me. I also had to make it slightly smaller so I could fit it in the car for transporting. They are very simple to make.

Thank you. I'm not big on chatter! Glad it was helpful.
Such a short diary...! Only one video lol I was hoping to see a LOT more of this type of content!

Thank you so much for sharing this video! It looks very complicated at times. Can’t wait to give this a go myself.
I hope to share more of the process soon. It's not too complicated but you do have to watch what you're doing. Mistakes are tiresome!
Do let me know how you get on, and please ask as many questions as you feel you need to.
I just got a version of this to try nice to see it in use
Fascinating!
I kind of want to see the weight and how the loom is set up.
Just the normal vertical loom setup with doughnut shaped weights.
love it, so nice and relaxing to watch.
Slow TV! I aim to do better.
its good a nice speed so we can see what you are doing, nothing fussy in the frame. i have a limited understanding of weaving so its great for me.

Did you make this loom? I’ve been looking into weighted looms.

Would it be possible to get a plan for the loom? I’d love to build it on my one!
