    KHOU is a great Bravo! Hope you had the chance to check out the Air Museum on the West side of Rwy 35. Did my long instrument cross country to KHOU back in 2013. Safe flying!

    Enjoyed this flight. Fancy conversion, Michael did a great job explaining many of the different features/systems of the JetProp Malibu.
    Look forward to more of your 182 vids. Cheers, -FJ.

    Ron did you see me waving as you went over my house? Actually you were a ways east of where I live. That wasa cool experience. The Malibu seems a bit more noisy in the cabin than the TBM. Bet that was a fun flight. You transitioned the Class Bravo that is some of the busiest airpsace in the country but due to Covid, there wasn't nearly as much traffic as there would be in normal times. We used to have one airliner after another coming over our house on the way to Bush Airport but these days it is a rare thing it seems. Thanks for the video.

    • @Parr4theCourse
      @Parr4theCourse  4 роки тому +2

      Yea, I knew I wasn't too far from your house as you are a waypoint in ForeFlight, but this was a quick turnaround flight and I didn't know I was going to fly the leg back to Wichita, so the whole experience took me by surprise!

    Wow. Sounded way busier than Norma since the volume knob wasn't working! He seemed annoyed that you were asking questions... i would be asking a ton as well if 8 were doing something I'm not familiar with! Good flight! See ya soon! 👋👋

      He has flown this plane for so long long that its all second nature to him, its so much faster than most and a lot was happening fast too, so his answers were just short and to the point, so it just seemed like he was annoyed, but he really wasn't...

  • @ericbeasley4854

    • @Parr4theCourse
      @Parr4theCourse  4 роки тому +1

      Yea when you’re used to flying a 182, this is a big step up in speed!!! I think I would have done better with a glass panel, as I was “searching” for the gauges a lot at first!!

    Wow what an amazing aircraft. I wonder if that turbine is more efficient as far as fuel burn than the piston . I would think so but I been known to be wrong before. Thanks for bringing me along with you guys. I bet you had a blast flying that thing "I would" lol.

    • @Parr4theCourse
      @Parr4theCourse  4 роки тому +1

      Cost per mile may be close considering how much faster it is than a piston, I'm not sure though, I was just having fun and it was such a great learning experience as well.

      Most turboprops fly 28,000 a 31,000 feet.

    Ron awesome VID...not sure what the background story is here but you had to really enjoy all the new experiences! Where was Janis on this flight? :-) Again thanks for sharing, it was a treat for sure! Don/NE Ohio

    • @Parr4theCourse
      @Parr4theCourse  4 роки тому +2

      The flight down was with owners and Michael is their pilot and on occasion will allow a tag-a-long pilot to come when he has to dead-head back as the case for this flight, we just dropped them off in Houston. That way Michael doesn’t have to fly alone and he appreciates the company as well. So Janis couldn’t ride a long in the back with the owners as that would be awkward.
