- The S.E.R. fire alarm system now has two Wheelock MT-24-LSM horn\strobes! For today's test, they're both set on slow whoop. For the next system test, I'm thinking about keeping both alarms up and changing the tones, stay tuned!

Man I love that tone! I have an MT and I gotta say that slow whoop isn’t that painful as some of the other tones. The siren/fast wail tone is more painful and also the continuous horn. Also, they sure sound interesting on FWR
Yeah me too
Ah yes, the slow whoop. The ones you guys have over there are slightly different from the ones we use over here in the Netherlands. But in the Netherlands, it's definitely the most common fire alarm to hear in stores, care facilities etc. The noise always strikes an immediate fight or flight reaction in me. I have been getting better with it by looking it up on youtube and such, but because I'm so afraid of fires, I think I would still be terrified if I heard it around me.

So cool! Nice devices and test! ...
I swear at my old school the fire alarms weren’t really loud but at my new school the class fire alarms are the same volume as the hallway and the rooms are small
My old school district had the mt4-lsm alarms at most elementary schools and the old high school before the moved. They were all set to slow whoop, so this was the only tone I knew until middle school. They had the mt with the partial clear strobe set to horn. None of the horns or strobes were synced either. Sounded really cool.
Cool. Slow whoop has always been one of my favorite codes
This tone is dope! A bit loud for my ears though. Maybe because I have sensitive ears. Well I love the alarm and the pull station. Thank you for reading!
These MT's are just awesome my fav tone is Siren and bell
Thank you, SER keep up the Videos
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Yo I got an MT horn for Christmas so I just love that tone
I always find slow whoop interesting. Every time I hear the name, I always think of the lower octave versions, such as the one from Building 7 in the World Trade Center prior to 9/11 or the sound the can be applied to the True Alert ES. Yet, I always end up surprised. But, I digress. I just wanted to know what particular region of North America you live in because the mountain view is beautiful!
Reminds me of Star Trek.
In the Netherlands most schools have this alarm sound (mine too) so I’m used to it
I'm asking for an MT for Christmas and if I get it I would set it to bell, I like that tone
This is one of my favorite videos by you great job!
Today's fire drill at school was between 4th and the last period, and the alarms were on continuous and the horns sounded like Wheelock 7002T alarms.
My middle school had these set to this tone. It's very close to the red alert klaxon from Star Trek (Enterprise 1701 and 1701-D).
That slow woop tone would be good for a security system siren
Grant knows how to throw a FS Party!!!! 😀
Your videos are the best!!!
Whoop is one of my favorite tones
In my country the slow whoop is used in every building, no building in my country uses code 3, march time, continuous
This takes me back to the good old times on UA-cam
I actually witnessed a few MT’s going off at a maintenance shop last August. No, they were not on Slow Whoop; they were on Continuous.
Keep up the awesome content! Also is your garage warm in winter?
It definitely can get cold, but we have a propane heater for when it does.
@@SERSafety do you ever have to refil the heater or is it connected to the building? I’m just curious cuz my garage always cold and would fire alarms freeze?
@@Real_Kravityfire alarms can stop working if they get too cold
At my elementary School they have old rusty bells everywhere and they're not even that loud but oh boy when the alarm goes off the pound the ringer arm super hard but they are not even loud
it is a unique tone(best of them all and my school fire alarm)
I really like that tone! Thank you for permanently damaging your viewers' eardrums for so many years!🤣🦻
Slow whoop reminds me of Holyoke mall in Massachusetts. *yes I did watch some videos of Holyoke mall*
Cool Video! Can you enable the Security System in the Next Test???
These alarms seem like the EXACT model in my school (just set to a different tone). Also, I caught an alarm mid-strobe.
I like it its actually more pleasant because imagine at like 2 am you hear “aeaeaeaeaeae, aeaeaeaeaeae, eaeaeaeaeae, instead of “eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa”
the slow whoop is awesome one i love those tones
I love watching your UA-cam channel
Awesome test
Nice. Was it set to high or low volume
I used to see these in my old school...obviously it was continuous horn it was installed in the mid 1990s for real.
I like the sound of the fire alarm it’s so cool and loud but I like it ❤😝😜🤪😂🤣😁😆😍😋😏
Alright, wheelock!
Let’s go a new video!!
Btw the slow whoop signal is not uncommon in the Netherlands, infact its I think required in every building with a fire alarm system, so you could’ve used that European call point, just a tip
I think it was much more common in the US in the mid 80s-90s. Two of my schools used this same model set to this tone, and they were built 1996-99.
Also, an American TV show popularized it before the technology became loud/cheap enough to use it for real alarms (Star Trek).
my school has a notifier system and the modern alarms also they are supposed to do continuous but they pause and turn back on very quickly for some reason, i know its not march time because the pauses are to quick
Then they're on code 3
So loud the camera mic was suffering.
My elementary school had Wheelock MT's outside, and I know how loud they are. This tone.. sounds like a seagull if it got turned into a robot.
Also when did you get the square key? I saw one for sale a few months ago but I was too slow to get it.
Hi can you do a system with the
Wheelock safepath voice evac panel and with 2 cooper wheelock speaker strobes plz
My school has the Cerberus branded one on a slow whoop. It wasn't loud
I mean it doesn’t really sound like that but that sound is really common in Australia
Dad get the popcorn, the legend himself has returned (awesome video btw)
Thank you!! :)
The mall near me has wheelock mt’s and they are set to slow whoop
Nice!
I really like slow whoop, especially on the commander 3
@Fire Alarm Warranty Service SHUT UP!!!!!!
Uncommon? The only two tones I've ever heard are a mechanical horn on continuous or anything else doing code 3.
Hey ser safety can u do more of the systems on all of your boards
I think it would be cool if we could get a compilation of all the different tones that are featured on the Wheelock MT-24-LSM horn\strobes
Here you go! :) ua-cam.com/video/Pf5RezltEqA/v-deo.html
@@SERSafety pretty cool, thanks grant
Day 1 of asking S.E.R Safety when he thinks Notifier and Fire-Lite are gonna start making the BG-14
Were the alarms synced in this test?
That's cool
my local mall fire alarms whent of in the main building and this is the same tone that they used it was storage to hear it was like no way
Are the Wheelock MTs hard to find or are they common?
@Fire Alarm Warranty Service it's a joke okay. I'm not going to be falling for a prank whoever you are.
Hello, SER! Could you try to do a system with the L-Series and BG12? Also, a system with the Wheelock NS and a pull of your choice? Thank you! It would also be cool for every system test to have a spectralert advance remote strobe outside.
Yea
What happened to doing multiple alarms on one board
Where does one obtain that protective housing for the pull station?
Nice
Why do you have a fire blanket?
Got that at my school
whoop whoop
They sound like the system sensor mass slow whoop
I just got the notification 😭
Hello from sweden😁! I have a request. Could you use a European callpoint to a system please?
The strobes are yellowed but good rare test
LSM Mts are not rare they are uncommon
can you put on system test 1 enable and disable
You should put a weatherproof alarm outside
@Fire Alarm Warranty Service leave me alone
Next test: the rare stuff (requested)🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨👑
Sound like a tone of a speaker strobe
My school has these
Where did you get a square firelite key?
It came with the Fire-Lite LCD-80F
This actually kind of looks like a Edwards intergity idk why
sounds like a race car
That sounds like the one at the world trade center
It’s pronounced “kid-uh”
I have that fire alarm at my house it is very ear piercing😢
Look like EST integrities
Ah the tone that murders people’s ears, I prefer mechanical horn and only mechanical horn
It sounds like a broken fire alarm.
Wheelock more like wheellock
...
F.. f..
I don’t think it is good
Slow whoop is my fav
You should also do Hilo if you have idk
Slow whoop is not uncommon. Voice evac slow whoop
