Fantastic job by Paul. Would love to have seen more on stage interaction with Ian, but you can't have everything. The fact he was invited on to be "young Ian" is an enormous honour and says everything that needs to be said about Ian's acknowledgement of Paul's performance.
Thought I was dreaming… We Used to Know, (a favourite track), a young Ian Anderson and old Martin Barre! Paul Forrest take a bow! What a star! Just amazing
I love this performance. I can't help imagining what it must have been like for Martin Barre to be performing with the old Ian. Thanks ... I'd love to see more of Paul Forrest. Such a great homage!
Started watching without checking info, saw a 1972 Ian Anderson without a codpiece and an old Martin Barre, thought wtf, then, after a double-take realized he was the special guest. The short beard and the fuller hair should halve been a clue, but I swear if you did a voice print analysis , his voice would be almost identical to Anderson's 😮
Is this for real?!? Absolutely phenomenal. I play about 400 songs on acoustic guitar. 398 of them are Ian. No one never has or will cover him like you, sir. Bravo.
What an honor. Great job! Kudos to Ian as well for sharing the stage. I didn't think he'd ever give up the spotlight like that, even for a little while.
Martin: Hey Ian, there's this guy who can sing better than you. Do you mind sitting this one out? Ian: OK, but only if I can swoop in at the end and show him how it's really done!
OMG! OMG! The voice, the MOVES, OMG. The voice, OMG! The MOVES, OMG! The moves! The VOICE! This is *insanely* excellent. And no, I am not an employee or stockholder or are connected whatsoever with Paul and Marcie Forrest :)
Great job dude..seen many Tull concerts since the 70's, they were an event. Saw Ian a few years ago, it was an event but kinda sad to see too but I'm still an Ian Tull fan for sure
Woah! That's just like young Ian! I'm so curious how the licensing works for these various tribute artists such as those who do Pink Floyd and Gabriel-era Genesis. There definitely needs to be more Tull tributes like this! There are some good ones on youtube in terms of music, but no one nails Ian like that!
Sounds good and some of the early antics of IA were nicely reproduced, but the real IA still moves in a more energetic and precise way to the music - at least in 2008. :-)
There is not many singers who can even remotely emulate Ian's singing. It only looks simple and easy, but it is very specific and takes a lot of effort. Paul Forrest was perfect in that respect 🤩 - if I didn't actually see the clip, he could have easily tricked me, despite the fact that I'm life long Tull fun. The thing I didn't like so much is that Paul went off the stage without even thanks or a goodbye. That wasn't very nice. 🤨
Thanks for your comment, Ivan. If I understand correctly, you did not appreciate that Paul did not say goodbye or thanks when he went off the stage? In any case, note that when Ian finally came on, it was Ian's moment not Paul's, and they even dimmed the lights on Paul as he walked off. Where would there have been any opportunity for Paul to do that while the music was still going on? He could have maybe waved as he walked off, but again, no one would have seen that. So in my opinion, what Paul did was the correct thing to do under the circumstances. 🙂

Great job Paul, best Ian tribute voice out there by far.

Paul’s voice is a dead ringer for Ian’s (from 1970-75).
Amazing.
Absolutely the best job of covering Ian Anderson I've ever seen. Fantastic!
Excellent Ian Anderson impersonator.

Damn dude, I'm a huge Tull fan. You sounded just like Ian from the 70's. That was awesome!
The voice is spot on and great flute playing along with the stage movements.
That’s the Tull sound from the old days!
You got the voice down 👍🏻
Fantastic

Mark - thank you so much for your kind words. They mean a lot!!
What an honor. Great job! Kudos to Ian as well for sharing the stage. I didn't think he'd ever give up the spotlight like that, even for a little while.
Thanks for your comment, Anthony. Yes, Ian was unusually gracious in that regard.
Martin: Hey Ian, there's this guy who can sing better than you. Do you mind sitting this one out?
Ian: OK, but only if I can swoop in at the end and show him how it's really done!
Fantastic voice and performance!! Thanks, Paul!
What a great song!
Outstanding and absolute perfection 😊
OMG! OMG!
The voice, the MOVES, OMG.

Thanks, Bill, check's in the mail! 😉🤣
It is an excellent version. Absolutely hits the spot.

That was great
Bravissimo, this gentleman has Ian down to a tee, absolutely brilliant.
Awesome. Love these songs... well done.

Fantastic
Much better then the actual Band! Ian is done
Unbelievable
Perfeito.
Parabéns!!!

Funny. I thought Ian Anderson was singing and wondered where the special guest Paul can be found.
T(r)ully amazing
🎉🎉🎉🎉💯💯👏
He is very good. It would, however, be unrealistic to expect him to caper and clown about like Ian. Kudos from a die hard Tull fan!
You have to watch more of this talented performer!
The mannerisms and presentation are almost identical. Have to take a long, hard look to see whether or not it is IA up there!
Martin barre should ditch the band he's currently with and join forces with this bloke.
Exactly
@@aliengrey6052Ian showing why he is the greatest. Or at least one of the greatest.
Couldn't tell if he had a cod piece...not that I was looking

Ian ! Time to stand down.
Someone copyed someone, Who came first jet or egale
The Tull piece is earlier, but as a huge Tull fan I must admit I find the Eagles' rendition better.
